Owned By a Cat

Peepers
Majestic queen
Mightily snatches prey
Aloof, haughty, and crazy quick
We are honored to serve her needs
Spoiled Cat

Congratulations on your win. This form seems so hard to do and this looks and reads perfect to me. I'm drawn to poems that say so much in few words and you achieved that. A fav. :)

Thank you Susan. It was pretty easy, as I knew this particular cat for 19 years.

An excellent cinquain Caren! I don't think most poets realise how challenging it is to write a proper cinquain. Your poem is a perfect example of how it should be composed. Bravo! Congratulations on your win! : )

Great line, "We are honored to serve her needs." My cat is like that, luckily she hasn't brought in a dead bird lately!

We say our cats have a "kill room" and they do. Luckily it is outside.
