Acrylic painting by Eve Roper

Little
Miss Witch nose twitched.
Bewitched a mundane stitch;
Halloween clown from head to toe
trick, treat.

She walked
Down the dark street
With sweet sounds of laughter.
Skittles, candy corn, M&Ms
Bag full

One, two,
Three, sudden; Poof!
Black spike hat, gown, and boots
Holding a kitten as black cat
Looked out.

Excellent composition, Eve, of this Cinquain Form. You've accomplished a delineating style that defines you, whereto I'm glad--don't change your quotient, or you'll be a question. My hat's off to you, my friend! Aloha, William

Brilliant take on the cinquain form. I really love the imagery in this and halloween vibe flowing throughout your lines. Kind of made me crave for M&Ms too! So good! Its a fun and creative take. Your syllables on point, and the artork goes so well with your words . I especially love the first cinquain and also artistic way you’ve delivered this story! Is beyond impeccable! Thank you for writing. Congratulations on winning. Pleasure reading this bewitching take! So well crafted!
