He knows he’s got to hide his nuts.
Each man who walks the planet sees
that though we labour, building huts,
we lack the chutzpah, such as these
(let’s say ‘she’)
who just know
how to be:
just so-so:
not like me!

If it takes a dollop of Dutch courage
to French kiss an English rose
would it make a lily-livered
Indian giver look down his nose
but with Yiddish chutzpah
as a Spanish fly on the wall
and luck o' the Irish
you could Australian crawl
and yet the Chinese fire drill
it's still a safe bet
and a Mexican standoff
are not Russian roulette
but who'd deliberately open the door
for a Portuguese man o' war

If all your basic needs are met,
Your bills are paid, no cause to fret,
Whatever food you want, you’ll get –
It’s then you can be kvetching.
For if you have no place to sleep
And hunger makes you want to weep,
The only thoughts your mind can keep
Might deal with budget stretching.
It takes some chutzpah to complain
When others’ lives are filled with pain,
Yet human nature can’t refrain
From some entitled retching.

I was listening to roller skating tunes.
Yes, I am shallow, sir.
And though thou may say villainess or mistress,
I am content to be who I am.
One noon, we were over dull
and our hearts we serviced
like two thieves there
in the kissing place
where breaths are both as one
and the first of many kisses doubles.
He made vows in mine ear.
He has such hands and lips
and his fortunate nature fed mine eyes
oh, nothing was scarce.
Our horns locked together
with the intensest chutzpah
and we well-made our match.
We sparked feelings we all ascribe to heaven.
I would not tell you
I can serve a man
that by slow designs
men can melt.
He swore oaths
and dropped
half won.
Later he paid
the sweetest
after-debts
—he did owe it.

During a terrible New England squall
A young blade named Paul escaped a brawl
Ran to a public box to make a phone call
Asked his mum to pick him up outside the mall
She was out with friends, having a ball
Made up an excuse, determined to stall
He tried to guilt her, her selfish son, Paul
for his bribes and lies she did not promptly fall
his absentee father had also told tales tall
that man had unbelievable chutzpah and gall
his mom had been born psychic, inside a caul
Paul took an Uber home, the driver drove at a crawl
the car stopped dead at a wailing wall
run over it, urged Paul who was wearing a shawl
the driver would have done this for his mum, she was a doll
not for Paul, who was known for being a bully, once and for all.

Envy the green eyed monster
can be harnessed to achieve a goal
I currently have a want for fitness
it's eluded while my life was on hold
So I am mustering up my health
and working on my stamina
And feeding up my ego
because in the end its chutzpah thats its anima
You have to attack with vigor
and have a plan you adjust along the way
You have to be single minded
and self congratulate to make it stay
For envy does not really serve
and it can actually deflate your cause
Because you don't ask for advice
and align with those who have achieved what you want
For those that have blazed those trails
can tell you their recipe
It may be the thing you can exactly do
or it may be an energetic zing
But use your emotional energy
to fuel your restless tide
And keep an open mind
and move ahead with pride
Turn Envy the Green Eyed Monster to you can do this!! You can! - Artimus (C) Susan Manley 3/11/24 8:43AM

Ridiculous, so, inhumane and grossly unfair!
Does a Trans-sexual think he has special flair?
Invading swimming pools like humongous whales?
Ensuring,that female swimming competitions fail?
These are things, not a poem had the chutzpah to addres
I fnd such topics should neither be hidden nor suppressed!

Only in Congress could somebody lie
And earn more than a nurse or a teacher,
With tales so outrageous no one could deny
That his chutzpah must be his best feature.
Expelled by his peers (he refused to resign),
Representative Santos insisted
That he’d done nothing wrong, never crossed any line,
But his logic was crazy and twisted.
So charged with conspiracy, credit card fraud,
Identity theft and some scheming,
We all should be able to cheer and applaud
As reports of his ouster keep streaming.
My question to Congress is why did it take
Months of fighting to get him ejected?
Though looking at Congress, my only mistake
Is not thinking this should be expected.

The assumption with gumption
is that its meant for
general consumption.
But like a spice
it should be used sparingly,
for that which spurs us on to dare and dream,
It takes chutzpah, bravery and temerity
to be willing to take on
the necessary risks entailed
with audacity, guts and tenacity.
Its gumption consumption,
without interruption,
that gets the job done.

It takes a leap in faith to view life differently.
Whatever is shown on a specific story screen.
Consider a chutzpah of a mad tantrum coherently.
Moving forth implies that I crave to be seen.
Whatever is shown on a specific story screen.
To scale the peak and survey the scene below.
Moving forth implies that I crave to be seen.
Utterly, to view more peace than hate grows.
To scale the peak and survey the scene below.
Kindness over wrath, brightness over darkness
Utterly, to view more peace than hate grows.
Fear falls the same as cosmic dust lit our sharpness.
Kindness over wrath, brightness over darkness
Your eyes are clear to show your heart and head.
Fear falls the same as cosmic dust lit our sharpness.
Your thoughts are intertwined with dread.
Your eyes are clear to show your heart and head.
Consider a chutzpah of a mad tantrum coherently.
Your thoughts are intertwined with dread.
It takes a leap in faith to view life differently.

~Let Me Not Pen~
Fast, meaningless, poetry.
And the have the chutzpah,
To dare even call it, artistry!
Thoughtful poems take time.
Even twelve year olds know this!
Adults should have far more wits.
Taking the easy way out makes me
Not only uneasy...it makes me
Without a doubt, massively queasy!
Races for this and races, for that?
Valuable poetry is passed by, like dead rats.
Or as, beautiful, expensive Boraslino hats!

There is a collective revving
of chutzpah and pluck.
It's known, it's time,
bird-brains do not ask.
The flock takes flight.
One robin jumps late,
takes off alone.
It has an instinctual drive,
it should have left
with the others.
However, birds don't know -
regret.
It struggles to catch up,
then segues in mid-air,
as if to say:
fork it.
The robin lands alone
on a bare branch.
It doesn’t care anymore.
Robins are not starlings.

Conversation overheard
While on my morning jaunt:
(Such chutzpah only those
Of younger age would choose to flaunt.)
“We headed to the hospital,”
One guy said to his neighbor,
“’Cause it was very obvious
That WE’d gone into labor.”
I cringe to hear “We’re pregnant,”
When just she’ll display a bulge,
But this was something new, which
No one really should indulge.
I held my tongue, quite sure
I couldn’t hold in my disdain
For boasting of his “labor”
Yet with not one labor pain!
