With parasol she parasailed
graceful through the air
From an angels’ cove she came
to answer children's prayers
A genie’s wish in fairy form
wish-ballons her fare
Mary Poppins, beloved by all
magic masked in child-care

Finally, two embroidery projects that I have finished.
One to keep and one to give.
A cute building appeared underneath this poem.
Inside, along the L shaped benches,
He sat at the desk, surfed on the internet,
And comfortably crossed his long, lower legs.
His second home was embroidered
On a simple white material,
The red galvanized walls on top,
Housing the Child Care Centre.
The glass windows framed with silver metal,
Located on the ground floor,
In front and on the side of the building,
The wear and tear black wooden columns,
Side by side unevenly standing in silence,
Covering most of the building glass surfaces.
On the right hand side,
A long and wide concrete foot path,
Leading to the front entrance,
Before joining the back garden.
Once inside, there are many facilities,
And well equipped amenities.
So many fond memories, engraved in my heart,
Written on my phone and also stored in my USB.
I now put these down to embroidery
To commemorate once my favorite library,
It ended since the day it went like this .........
The Glorious Mountain
The mountain on the other side of the bay
was born before colors were invented
and introduced to make the world jollier
a place for humanity to relax and love
This mountain, however, has three basic
colors, black, gray, and snow white
if these shades had not been there
the hill would have been unseen
a shimmer of morning light to avoid
accident, it would have had to be painted
every four years or when the town had
money not earmarked for child care
The mountain is no place for a Sunday stroll
thousands of seabirds have made it slippery
the grass has gone, over-fertilized
that tells us, that health has its limitation
Where the mountain meets the ocean
crustaceans are the size of drop-dead dolphins
one lobster can feed a family of five
The mountain's bleak exterior has a hidden
beauty and looks glorious at sunset
On her front porch, the elderly lady stood
Sending forth a farewell starts with a wave
Wait for the tires to be silent in the woods
The sound faded on the stones of the stave.
She waits for the family car to fade from sight
Clouds of dust gradually drifted below
due to the air's propensity to wash right
Her son, wife, and child care for a cozy forego.
It breathed fresh life into this calm place
afar from the hectic pace of this crazy world
She had faith that there would be more chances
Other dainty events, but not akin to the one named.
What we retain is most crucial than what we read
It's not our intent but the actions that lend us deeds
We don't achieve our goals by wishing for them
But it is a lifelong fight to render us a valiant gem.
She expected tears, but she had a sole wish
She may cook the last bit and serve them a dish
Hear the tires screech and watch the dust settle
Over the span of her life, view her blooming petals.

Free, breathing in fresh air
This world, I live without a care
When life turns me into a monster
Mama is always there.
In her arms I find comfort,
Joy abounds alot
When life turns me to a beast
Mama still knows my worth.
She works without pay
'You're mine' she always say
When life leaves me hopeless
Mama shows me another way.
I pray dear Lord, hear me
You know how I feel
Even when life's empty
Mama should be happy.
I overdrew my bank account.
Then told the bank to print more money to cover it.
They told me there was no interest in doing that.
I suggested a moratorium on pursuing the matter.
They suggested I not write any more checks.
I told them I was drowning in debt.
They asked who pushed me into the pool.
I wept and cried as I toweled myself off.
I asked if they could suspend my rent/mortgage payments
car payments, child care/support payments etc.
The said it wasn’t their job to bail me out.
I reminded them that the GOVERNMENT
(aka taxpayers like me) had bailed them out.
They called in an armed security guard
to escort me from the building.
Wait till they see what’s going on with my credit cards!!!

Here's who to blame
The Chinese government began it all
Those wild creatures traded in that wet market
I mean
Secrets were kept too long
It's self-evident
Air travel spreads it abroad
With inadequacy of testing before and after
And
Track and trace always playing catch up
With
Government policy changing
We discover
Hospitality is shutting down
And to our dismay
Entertainment is no longer viable
So where can we go and spend?
Retailers feel under threat
Me too
Teachers are angry
Also
Hospitals can't cope
There's no child care for key workers
Then we hear reports that
Not distancing
Many young people are partying
And they say that
Wearing his mask
Even for Santa
Leads to tiers
This spread of Covid-19
While it's still out of control
We'll have to cope
On our own
Blaming others
Grumbling
Now read from bottom to top.
Once again I point out that the form "reversal poetry" is not recognised by Poetry Soup.
Every month he cuts and styles your hair
She delivers your paper in darkness when you are not there
He mows your lawn and trims the grass' edges
She plants your flowers and shapes the hedges
She vacuums your carpets and mops your wood floors
She takes care of your children when you're out of doors
The barber, delivery person, landscaper and florist
The cleaning lady, child care specialist, and so many more of us
We take care of what you're too busy for throughout the year
What would life be like without us if we just disappeared?
A little boy and his older sister
Caught twenty ants and put them in a jar
Then filled the jar with water
And watched the poor ants drown.
The police came and got the boy and girl
And took them away in a blue and white car
They went on trial for their very lives
And the judge wore a big red frown.
"Did you drown twenty innocent ants?"
The judged asked little brother.
"My sister did it!"
"It wasn't me!"
They each one blamed the other.
As punishment for their horrible crime
They were both sealed in a great huge jar
Which was slowly filled with water
And they watched each other drown.

Jody removed one shoe, one sock,
Dangled her foot over the dock;
With foot in the water,
while picking her nose,
Along came Crawdaddy
who plucked off her toes.

as I step back in time
and again you come into my mind
When I was your wife
and we lived in Koppel PA
it was a wonderful life
as I step back in time
you love playing your country music
all the time
some days I though I'd
lose my mind
as I step back in time
it seem unreal you have
been gone 10 years ago today
I keep you in my memory ever so close
you never seem to fade away
I was married to you for 25 years
what can I say
as I step back in time
I work in child care
you as a Boss at the medical center
it was a wonderful life
we did share
as I step back in time
today I remember when we
said our I do
and all the things in our
life we went through
but I would not be where I am
if I never had met you,
As I step back in time
Aug. 16 2004 my husband jerry passed away
so I write this poem and to share
but mostly to show jerry even though
he gone I still care.

It is difficult to doubt a mother's care.
But in terms of medical sciences,
is she aware?
A field of angry faces fume
with mouths agape as spittle flies
from lips best used for other tasks.
Upon the green , the rolling lawn of angst,
demonstrators wave paper placards.
Group A never nearing Group B.
Flags drape the bandstand packed
with pomp and politicians give lip-service
to the trodden rights of man.
Unequal, but present, women, fe-males
present themselves in all manner of vehicles
from stroller to walker to wheel chair, we are here.
For one hundred years, we have been ‘given’
the ‘right’ to own property,
but still
our labor is worth less.
Un-joined, un-backed,
if alone, many are left
in the ranks of the poor.
A field of angry faces fume
no child care, no child left behind,
inadequate health care, still we struggle on
in the twenty-first century,
where politicians preen and prance
and misuse our votes.
The divide ever present,
our ranks rife with unrest,
our creative powers used to shackle us
given only lip-service.
Still, we will prevail.
Tomorrow we’ll have a party, all my friends will be there
And Prezzies will be opened and Christmas we’ll share
And Susie will grin in her red flaming hair
And Alice with her doll, in her new wheel chair
Ned will strum his guitar and we’ll all start to sing
And laughter and cheer this Christmas will bring
And I’ll sail my boat across the Spanish Maine
Explore the Antarctic fighting storm and hurricane
And though Timmy’s Jewish, he’ll get his brace and his bear
Hanukkah and Christmas it’s the season we all share
And we’ll be as happy as we could ever be
And we’ll thank the folks from Variety
They give plenty of Prezzies for all us kids
And they come and play with us invalids
They donate millions of dollars for all child care
Isn’t it nice to know that they’re there!
Right now I’m quite sleepy, but I hear jingle bells
The sound of a sleigh “It’s Santa!” Tim yells
But it’s only the nurse making her round
Santa won’t come till we’re all sleeping sound
So as I lie neath the covers, all cosy and tight
I smile when I think Santa’s coming tonight
And I’m as hopeful as I could ever be
Santa got his instructions, this year from me!
