Certain

Sometimes you’re certain that something is so,
So sure of yourself that you’d bet,
But if it turns out what you thought you did know
Isn’t true, you’re in somebody’s debt.

For the mind can play tricks and can make you believe
That you did what you meant to, instead
Of not carrying through what you’d hoped to achieve
When you thought up those plans in your head.

Thus it’s better to hedge and admit that you think
You accomplished your goal, but of course,
State it’s possible that, in the time of a blink,
You did not - and prevent a divorce.

Time is a journey
_ I, am open-hearted,
_ But what about the trip
at the next stop?
The_Certain sunset... void

A Certain Gravity

He cups the weight of her small breasts,
cradles them with reverential hands,
weighs the balance of gravity,
the pressure of pleasure.

He wonders about this passion
for the petite and elfin,
for the Hellenic perfection of rose and plum,
then recalls his mother,
the push of her tenderness
as she held his face in both her palms
as if he were the substance of her soul.

Now he holds this beautiful woman
bewildered by an artless wonder,
speechless, yet his mouth full
of a heaviness, a sufficiency now released
as the fecundity of rainclouds.

A CERTAIN DEJA VU HAPPENS poetrix

         On certain rainy afternoons
        I smell anamnestic perfumes
        love... axiom or incarnation!

What if - Maybe

What if I have not answered your phone?
Maybe, it was due to my right ear but wrong tone.

What if I have not called you lately?
Maybe, I have been very busy.

What if I have not replied your messages?
Maybe, my phone needed to be deep cleaned and tidied.

What if I kept on making promises?
Maybe, I just wanted you to put my words in your diary.

What if I kept on breaking my promises?
Maybe, I have lost my memories.

What if I wanted to end all the communications?
Maybe, all I need was to press the mute button.

What if I want to leave you?
Maybe, I need to make the first move.

What if I no longer want to be with you?
Maybe, I just have to ignore and go through.

What if you want to be back to me?
You know where to find me. Maybe.

What if I never see you again?
Goodbye. Good luck to you, my friends.

What if I said all the above was what you did to me?
Maybe, for sure, every thing with you was all maybe.

Certain Degree

I'm not the greatest poet
Although I do have a couple of degrees.
One's for my sense of humour
The others for my honesty.

End is Certain

The world is shifting, not the same,
We’ve faltered as a human race.
No one’s safe on this forsaken plane,
Even the righteous lose their grace.

In Kali Yuga’s shadowed prime,
One plea remains, one urgent call:
Oh Prabhu, we need you now,
For Kali pursh looms over all.

The age of chaos spreads its gloom,
The good have fallen, lost their way.
People chant your sacred name,
As we wander through this disarray.

Man has bartered souls for fleeting gain,
Women peddle selves through screens.
Neither safe from this cruel fate,
As darkness twists our shattered dreams.

The virtuous bleed while villains reign,
We need Kalki’s light to guide.
In this turmoil, help us find
A path to peace where truth resides

Kessi Awendo, Certain Affairs Fay, Charms street Affair

A breeze of super heated love the ancients called it
At the forth angle trumped up charges bemoan you
Twas a case of of an eagle eating a chic..... cry folly
Cry folly for Roy was as is his usual MO a by passer
How can you let her use you're premises yet no pay..
Are you Roi for real threatened the pistol service Bro
Yes you are our Bro Intelligence son is you're not..
Not uttered as Kaayan and by it a pointed index mark
Where did the fingerlings who abide by fingering... Eh
Leave a Mark that Roi now you have to be roasted..
The wheels of justice grind and groan in the mean time
Co-Optation has never been sur-judged as a justice means
In Esoteric font Roi Fold you're wings.. Let chics Be..
Who said you have to stay in the form of the Eagle
A Leopard you are an African Black Panthre' On My Mark.

At a certain age in my life
I am beginning to weigh my options
of what makes me happy
what things I need
and what things I can do without
 to make life easier

Premium MemberA Certain Feeling in the Air

I say this to all of you
      because it is so true

   I love the Christmas season
      for oh-so-many reasons

There's a certain feeling in the air
that just yesterday was not there

People stop and say hi, pass the time
dig into their pockets when they hear
'Hey buddy, have you got a dime?'

Acts of kindness just feel right
      no longer the exception
         leastways, that's my perception

Then on Christmas night, once it's snowed
you'll never be stranded on a lonely road

For high in the sky there's an ear and an eye
~ Santa and his reindeer will surely hear your cry

Certain Dates

Certain dates we don’t forget
For it is automatic
To think about events which
In our lives were quite traumatic.

November twenty-second and
Eleventh of September
Are dates my generation
Will just naturally remember.

But other dates are personal
And even if I tried,
I never could forget today,
The date my father died.

Each year I flash back to that time
And feel that jolt of pain
That 12/10 on the calendar
Will trigger in my brain.

On Certain Days

Went on a little vacation
And plans we had proposed
We couldn’t do because
On certain days, some things were closed.

On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays
Many restaurants and stores,
Plus museums. shows and galleries
Posted signs upon their doors.

Please stop by again on Thursday
Or the weekend; we’ll be here!
Were they short-staffed? I’m not certain
But to us, it was quite clear

That some businesses don’t need to wait
For customers to show
And perhaps on early weekdays
We’re not welcome; good to know.
