Once my romantic dreams
Lived in a castle in the air,
And I'd fly there
On wings of love.
Youth passed with time,
My castle crumbled, but it seems
I've kept a dream
That clings to love.
The distant mem'ries that remain,
Though pale and gaunt,
Still taunt and haunt
My dreams of love.
I've crashed and burned,
My love's been spurned,
But hope survives that romance thrives,
And time will prove
That once again
Out of the ashes I can rise
And soar the skies
On wings of love.
His voice like thunder, booming out his threats,
the stamping ogre towered, broad and square;
the trembling, sobbing woman prayed and begged -
I saw no pity in the monster's glare...
and hid. A knight, afraid of fighting fiends!
Ashamed, I rushed at him, without a care.
The giant, nostrils flared, took off at speed,
returning to his castle in the air.

To ponder why,
In deep dismay
To Daydreaming in the stream of consciousness
Mixed in mind and heart desires
That detaches from current task and test,
Don’t quit your daydream
Trance aid fantasy
Intervision encapsulates me
Hallucination musing
Don’t quit your daydream
Imagining inattention gathers
Inattentiveness woolgathering preoccupation
Don’t quit your daydream
Emotional brooding
Obliviousness engrossment
absentmindedness Self-absorption
absence of mind
staring into space
abstraction
Don’t quit your daydream
lack of concentration lack of application
figment of the imagination
unrealizable dream Home is castle in the air
Wishful thinking fond hopes Self-absorption
Wishing upon…
Whatever it is Don’t quit your daydream

SIX FEET
Six feet under,
Still thinking about one thing or the other
Judgement day looming behind all I ponder
Was the only thing which makes me wonder:
The thought of years of blunder
And divorce between I and Brenda
Is a life dissipated and gone down yonder
Which finally and forever tore us asunder
A curtain-call through the aid of murder
Was sadness and weakness that struck me like thunder
Now, what shall I render
But to wish my path isn't trodden by my brother.
If life was worth it, I'll have dreamt another
A wish as wishful as a castle in the air I won't bother.

From the carnival circle race goes off the course
the vintage carousel of bobbing corralled horse,
galloping skyward from the field of fiesta fair
through the music of wind jingling everywhere.
With teen fantasy on ornate steed out of chain,
he holds the rein in the strands of ebon mane,
canters up above the spire of the castle in the air,
far from the meandering rivers on the land bare.
In sprightly strides his reverie climbs the space high
to the conclave of clouds caressing the satin sky.
Returning after merrily going round the land of fairy,
on the carousel of life all his dreams he’ll carry.

On the roof top the dandelion grows,
It does not even mater if it snows!
Neither wind, nore rain
Can cause her any pain!
Come all, boys and girls,
Let’s take a breath and blow.
I can promise you this,
It ain’t even going to bow.
You can huff and puff,
But that plant is tuff.
You can do what ever you want,
Even get rough.
But be the ware
That plant is rare.
Do what you must,
It won’t be enough.
You can trust me on this, it is not a bluff!
Up there on that rooftop,
It needs no care,
Bring her down
And she will lose that blue air.
It’s her safety zone,
Out of the cross-hairs.
Never to be seated
Apon her death chair,
Safe and sound in her castle in the air.

No other country where I've been seems half so fair,
It's the land where I, in childhood, built my castles in the air.

Castle in the Air
Can I see my Castle in the Air?
No! Unlike a stone chateaux
it is a vision of rainbow light
floating on cloud meadows
Its four small words,
‘Castle in the air.'
fashioned from wide dreams
I imagine vines from
enchanted woods, climb the walls
deep, green precious leaves.
Bright violets fill the undergrowth
in orchards of mist
Windows reflect infinity-
Deep puzzles of beginning and end
Expectation gleams on gold spires
I can only ask for myth
For Castles in the Air Contest.
Martyr for eternity a victor of war, burned at the stake
a young women of God's grace
she rightly took her place years later
as a Catholic Saint
Though persecuted, victimized and tortured
she never gave up her rightfully place
as visions continued with brilliance and grace
of a castle in the air it's presence no longer disguised
"The Maid of Orleans", from a poor farmer bred of French descent
she never accepted downfall or dread
blood of a legacy that will never pass on
only in history books to discover her fore
A song that will always sing from the river of Seine
her ashes will always remain from the people who were unkind
for a glorious young lady so majestic and immortalized
her spirits vitality will forever shine.

History Poem
I want to dream a dream
I want to make a castle
in the air........
I want to have a hot kiss
on your forbidden rosy lips
I want to take a hot coffee
in a downtown restaurant
of Toronto with you......
I want to walk side by side
with you in the Woodbine beach
I want to be lost with you
in an unknown destination.....
I have right to dream
to make a castle in the air.....
Castle in the air
In esteemed royalty
Treasures and treasured
Table embroided delicacy
For all and sundry
And a life of a thousand years
Wilds as pets, lions of course
A queen, a rare beauty..
Magic and power
All at my beck and call.
A different castle out of this
world.
A community of change.
My thought returned
Here am I on my bed.

Windows to the soul locked. Fencing in the juvenile lamb and the seasoned fox.
The key cast off. The blinds closed.
Shading him from my veiled darkness.
His castle in the air ever so light.
Blown by the twinkle which playfully waltzed in my ball.
A voracious inferno ignited in a gentle lamb.

My quiet place is high above the maddening haste and
I can go there at my leisure, to this five story back yard walk-up, and
On the platform of this wooden stair castle in-the-air-deck, I
Can look over the city, awed at the wonders I see and write about.
The telephone is turned off to my delight and the only sounds
Are my sighs from time to time, and the whistle of the tea kettle.
No plants to water, no pets to feed, just me, pencils, pads and
My special someone, who says his sole purpose in life Is to make me happy.
I stay here as long as I desire, in this quiet place writing, and best of all,
He only plays the music I want to hear…Frank Sinatra, singing anything.
It's not a tree house that hides me
From the world; I ignore
Yellow jackets so they won't sting
Watch butterflies adored.
It's Not a tree house, inflated
Balloon, my quiet place;
I love, laugh, write here, time is naught,
sun caresses my face!
I plucked a fragrant out of a million; jasmine, oak, lilly, all adorned in colours
But only you enchant my prayers, thoughts, hopes, dreams, love and colours
As i wrapped my heart in its fragrance, my day was illuminated
Through thick and thin, the flower stood by me. Steered me through hard times
Held my hands slow and steady, my nerves embrace a conjugal solace
Actually, the flower helped in myself discovery
Through darkest night, my flower dimpled smiles
Tickled my folly, like a tick tack. Like a baby a rest between two mountains as i stride into lullaby
Words are like punctuations, not enough to sail my thoughts
Like your little boy you love me unconditional
I know i don't have a castle in the air as others have built for you but be rest assure you remain dear to me...
awoh awoh
Visions stolen,
Heart beat raised
You still touch me,
In the castle in the air
I don’t want to miss you,
Truth is, I still do
The smile, those eyes,
I still miss you..
The path has forked
The world has split
Memories tainted,
I still miss you
I yearn for a rendezvous
To reminisce the cold touch
The twinkle, the chuckle,
I still miss you
Cries of laughter,
Strength of bond,
The waiting seconds,
I still miss you
Time does not reverse
The road unveils beautifully
But, some are unforgettable
And, I, still miss you…
