On Wings of Love
Once my romantic dreams
Lived in a castle in the air,
And I'd fly there
On wings of love.
Youth passed with time,
My castle crumbled, but it seems
I've kept a dream
That clings to love.
The distant mem'ries that remain,
Though pale and gaunt,
Still taunt and haunt
My dreams of love.
I've crashed and burned,
My love's been spurned,
But hope survives that romance thrives,
And time will prove
That once again
Out of the ashes I can rise
And soar the skies
On wings of love.
