Sounds a little bourgeoisie
to put on a formal sit-down tea
all dressed up with a bumblebee

As she sets up under the willow tree
it's the perfect antidote to a bout of ennui
for sweet little adorable Penelope

A couple of cookies fresh from the bakery
a french custard that's sublimely velvety
topped with a garnish of floral scented potpourri

Few can boast of the love of a giant bumble these days
Helen feels honored for her bee adores her in all ways
Others cower in horror, when they see her bee’s stinger.
She is not fearful, for her pet is a doosie, a ding-a-linger.

He has her back, others leave her alone, never bother her at all.

Big Bad Bumblebee Bear

Big bad bumblebee bear was fluffy and cuddly
We did not know his name, so we called him Duddly
He rolled around on the roses and tried to tiptoe on the lily
We loved watching this big goof, he was adorable and silly.

I often see a bumblebee,
I then wonder what she thought of me, 
But now it doesn't matter really.
Truth is I always left her to just be.

Bumblebee Dad On Fathers Day

Bumblebee dad hugs his new hammock, a bit lazy
Rolling on his tummy, for a well-earned sleep
Baby bees buzz around playing like crazy 
Jumping back and forth, playing tag and leap

It’s father’s day! The kids buzz back and forth to each other.
Wanting Daddy to jump up and play, complaining to mother.
Let’s let him rest, she says.

Bumblebee Has a New Name

Picky bumble bee lives in a new pumpkin house
She had to clean it thoroughly after the mouse
He had left partial bits of food all over the place
Consequently, she had to clean and sanitize the space

It’s all mine now, she declared to whoever would listen.
The floors had a sparkle, and the windows had a glisten.
Pumpkin smelled

Was That a Pink Bumblebee

She flew in rather persnickety and grumpily
A buzzing, breezy, rounded, striped, funny sight
Silly me, but wasn’t that a pink bumblebee?
I asked, weird, since it was the middle of the night.

I knew for sure this stranger had not received an invite
The tiny creature seemed to have a magical autonomy 
Her arrival did not trouble me, but

Chickadee Chimpanzee Bumblebee and Little Me

Sweet merry happy chickadee
was terrified of the old racer chimpanzee
He is not so bad threw in the bumblebee
If you knew him well, you could easily see…

But he has such a loud monster truck-like Humvee!
It scares the honey nectar juice out of me!
We watched him race at the chimpanzee Grand Prix.
My auntie Tee paid for Chickadee’s

The Biggest Bumblebee

I saw the biggest bumblebee
That I have ever seen
And so I guessed, quite naturally,
It must have been the queen.

She hovered, with some smaller bees,
Above some garden blooms,
Demanding some obeisance
From the workers, one assumes.

But since I’m not an expert,
Maybe she was not in charge 
And they were all acquaintances 
With one just extra large.
