Bursted Bubbles

My half-sister is in Texas
and she cannot use THC.
Her mother moving her there
planted that dark seed.

I am fortunate to remain
where I can smoke it legally.
Their legislators are incapable
of seeing things clearly.

lake

            lake

winter frozen lake
ice cracks, frozen bubbles rise
chilled wind, deep blue sky

Premium Member Bubbles of bliss

Bubbles of bliss burst in our head,
imbibed in slow motion,
pure joy of which naught can be said;
motionless commotion.

Mirroring our heartbeat,
felt within as cool heat,
rapture refrains repeat.

God’s sublime kiss ~
Bubbles of bliss

Premium Member Banquo'd

(a dating tale - told in Senryus)

She stayed the night, but
left before having coffee
- that was a bad sign.

He was charming but
negligible - an easy
habit to give up.

He watched her typing
bubble appear and vanish
there was his answer

His date-dar was bad,
she’d left-swiped him in real life,
ghosted like Banquo

A song for this:
Waiting for Kenny by a Sécurité

Banquo = One of Shakespeare's many ghosts.

Premium Member Death isn’t an escape

Death isn’t an escape from troubles,
        weak hearts do prefer it.
Human souls aren’t water bubbles
meant to fly, burst and quit.

On this earth we are born
      to harvest our own corn
plucking out every thorn.

Always be in shape ~
      Death isn’t an escape.

Bubbles

Bubbles of love trickle down on me high
But to love is to hide in there over
They ultimately all leave with a sigh
They beat me down to lay on me, hover

But I push off and reap what I have sow
Death brushes my cheek with a soft, loving touch
Bleeding profusely, I love now hang low
The reality of life I can't clutch

Black and blue is my skin tone around you
Like the love of a chain saw, cut my heart
Time for me to cut you out, start Anew
So that I could, without you, fall apart

Now standing tall I shoulder no burden
Burden of the past almost forgotten

Premium Member Do Bubbles Freeze in the cold?

Today, on a snowy Sunday in January
my thoughts go to how cold it is
and I wonder if bubbles will freeze in the cold?
The former Kindergarten teacher in me
is intrugued and I give it a try
but mostly I froze myself

Premium Member Bubbles And Laughter

Smiles out of nowhere
toasting the future.
That clink of a wink
bubbles and laughter
so thin they explode.

You’d kill to hold
for a moment
this flushing joy
inside your palm.

A drop of
blistering
merriment

hits you
like a

shot.

Bubbles

Bubbles live in sorrow,
   brief lives, bursting
      move, and they're gone
         gone—
            as if they never
            existed before

            Pop
            Pop
            Pop

We wash our sorrows,
   scrub again and again, erasing
soap and sin that seeps into our skin
our touch destroying what barely was

         Pop
         Pop
         Pop

I draw air; they vanish silently
   in and out—

       Pop
       Pop
       Pop

Sinking silhouette,
dragging deeper down into the depths of despair
nothing left to rise, nothing left to vanish

Premium Member Bubbles of Illusion aka Is This Zen

Here we are
Each of us
In a world
Of our own
Trying hard
To connect
But failing
Again and again.

The solution
You know
Is to simply
Let it all
Go
And let
whatever arises
Simply be.

Is this illusion
The Zenness
Of being
Or it is just
Another attempt
At relevance
In a world
Of illusion.

Kissing lips to my glass.
Champagne bubbles dancing up to my nose.
Playful delight on my tongue.

Jacko - Michael Jackson 1958-2009

Singing and dancing,
as the last to arrive,
he outshone his brothers
in the Jackson Five.
Moonwalking across the stage,
he was quite the fancy dancer,
but what happened to his other glove,
is a question no one can answer.
Comparing the early to his later work,
you can hear it when he sings,
Michael the 'King of Pop',
put a new complexion on things.
But in '85, with 'We Are The World',
he was dead wrong,
when he wrote the lyric
to the song,
as, from sea to shining sea,
on this globe there is much more,
than only that there north American shore.
Yet, Billie Jean (not his lover) was just a girl
who claims that he is the one,
and Bubbles brought on many troubles,
but the chimp is not his son.

from the wind I come
bubbles lifting my spirit
face of you I reach
drifting like feathers of peach
your voice in echoes commands

Premium Member Soap Opera -- Laughing My Bubbles Away

After a bubble bath last night
            I left the water running

        ‘O, Soapy Mio!’
            Heaven help me
              pay for the plumbing

bubbly from the very start
