Have You Tried My Slushie

Have You Tried My Slushie?             By
Briar Rabbit

I don’t know if it brings the boys to the
yard
I’d want some time to myself

I  think..

I think of angel dust
while
liberty belles call my name

cement and concrete as I leave the shrink
i am bowed down some
staring at my shoes
as I walk to my stop

I take PM dawn pills
For Purples edge,
Irony, I know
It’s bubble and burble
And bubble and grape flavor in my mouth
Chewy fat chunk of life’s worth
Like Nicki sticks to a wad
I chew it
It’s imprinted
Yummy and pink bubbles
Imprinted on the wrapper

Wrapper
Rapper
I like smoking
Smoking
Puro

Cheap menthol lights
The Inhale and the burn of the
Humo
In my nose
On the top and to the sides of my lungs

Smoking
Puro

I’ve become a Whiz Kid @ this
And I learned to become
a cowboy kid cigarette
aficionado

I watch my toes
Shoe gaze
Blow some smoke
Through my mouth and my nose
And then I breathe

I am a
Smoke Tamer
It’s purple-blue, tinged grey
Curls in form only real Wizards
Can create – Dragons, Curly cues,
and ring after ring after ring
When I’ve had my high , I  pinch my cherry
Roll it between my fingers and test the
edge
Of this proto-promethean glory
Index to thumb

My butt at ease
And my feet alive
I pet a bug
Or an ambitious spider
Cupping my hands I put her back
in the bush. Apologizing
after letting her explore my fingertips
my hands, my wrist, my arm
to my elbow and then I let her know, no
gently
I cry a little inside when i do, because
she’s
curious and seeking comfort in some
shade
like I do.
                                    Our feelings I think are
mutual

I am still..
Sticking with Fabolous
My slushie named orange and blue

Half to three quarters gone

I’m sippin it and three a party in
My pants, no ********, a wow in my
Mouth, and a brain freeze.
The brain freeze gives me a *****
Seriously.
I’m serious.

I cross my legs, lift up my hood
Arrange two rings and a cross
Pick at the crud under
My nails, maybe I should
Pull down my shades
Arrange my pant legs
Again.

Slurp my slushie.
Brain freeze and I’m turned on
again
I blush and pull down my hood

I’m still sitting at the bus shelter
I light another one,
My smoking curls,
Curling
curly-curly
curly ques..

MY smoke curls
MY smoke curls

Unspun:In the Orange

I lay in my bed.
Thoughts come in waves.
When will it end?
The Dragon slain.

No amount of time.
No person, no thing.
Can change the fate,
That the needle brings.

Sights of Orange,
Delight my eyes.
I pick up a crystal,
And to no surprise.

I crush it down.
In that damn orange cup.
I’m so overwhelmed.
The sinking feeling abrupt.

I carefully decide,
The amount to pour.
Then mix it with water.
And dissolve once more.

I take off the cap,
To reveal the shine.
Of that needle so enticing.
That it blows my mind.

I feel so small.
As I stare at that point.
My body quivers.
I can’t disappoint.

Thoughts of guilt.
Invade my brain.
But my body keeps saying,
This will soon end the pain.

So I draw the solution,
Into the stem.
Then flick it twice.
Let the bubbles settle in.

I slowly push the air out.
That’s collected on top.
And wonder to myself,
If I will ever stop.

But I shrug it away.
And again think of pain.
Then tie on my tourniquet.
And say “ it” again.

The veins start to pop.
And spread on my skin.
They bulge and prod,
And trickle within.

Sometimes this takes hours.
Sometimes days of my life.
I get so frustrated.
But search on with strife.

I stab myself over and over again.
Until the blood flows red into my syringe.

Seeing the blood,
Makes my whole body weak.
But I surrender with ease.
No more words can I speak.

I push the plunger forward,
Till she entires my veins.
Down to the last drop.
Empty and insane.

I wait just a second.
Pull the needle out.
My body turns to fire.
This is what it’s all about.

From my toes to my head,
Her venom spreads.
Ecstasy at last.
No more feelings of dread.

Then the fire fades,
Just as quickly as it came.
And then there’s just calm.
A final break from the shame.

I’ve given my life to this process,
So many times.
The bigger the shot.
The bigger the crimes.

When I’m in this state,
The dragon has one.
My mind and my heart,
Become unspun.

I do terrible things,
To all of my friends.
My family, my children.
But she always wins.

I always think I can only do one.
But that’s never the case.
The cycles just begun.

“The devils tool” I’ve heard it said.
Takes every ounce of life.
And leaves you for dead.

But you rise up and start
The process once more.
A zombie. Tortured chaos.
I don’t know anymore.

A Writers Mind

Swimming in the deep depths of tales
A place where writers sometimes go
In urgent need to find themselves
To envision again the writing flow

A place where words swim like fish
Many are like sirens that sing in bubbles
that carries their voices in bliss
Hiding their beauty in the trenches tunnels

All glow shining with inscriptions within
Giving ideas that can create
A plot for your mind to confine in
That exploit to initiate.

As you go deeper in the abyss of it's body
It gets darker, colder
Luring you to it's embody
Time is growing older
As getting closer yet feeling bolder
Enthralled in its ebony shadows shoulder

Now alone with a blank mind
No one can save you this time
It's up to you on how to evade the mine.
It wants you there
Now trapped and soon in need of air
You're falling in despair
It's calling you but seemingly to not bear!!!

Swimming through is a murky cast
It swims in, at full blast
Stalks you like a shark
Can't see well it's too dark!!!
Freshly still like a simple bass
It's way too sharply fast
As hoping that good fate
Will make it pass
Or make you it's ideal bait
Maybe even to occasion a special date.

It comes...... It comes!!!

Then silence fills to surround
Yet there's nothing around
With not a speck of sound
What has happened?
This is all so rapid...
Am I dead in the oceanic's shroud?

Then a source of swirling light
Endows my presence
A feeling so unique in essence
giving me a sense of no fright
Darkness and fear is now evanescence
What never was to result in a bad bite.
Now my hands are inspired
to naturally write
For the seas stories had conspired
To paint in black ink
Giving a talent with passion
So there's no way for them to sink
But to float like jellies
With pink flopping bellies
Giving them a sensual attraction
Almost like ballerinas in a stage
That dance with grace
To the seas gravity with no name or age
Love how well they rhythm in same pace

It's all now coming to me....
And I can see and do I proudly see
In a sweet art masterpiece
That I made it be...
I want to feel it's dew
It's meadow harmony that arches in peace
In the profound beauty of it's blue
The skill I carried and always knew
Was never far from me
I had to get prompted starting at new
Hey you got this don't worry
Now get on and write your story....

Virtual Life Metrics

I spend time with a friend
well, a pseudo-friend
an acquaintance of sorts
no, I guess he'd be a friend,
****, who knows
one of those types you never really share your heart
that authentic trembling you
I guess
he's more like a radio station
on a long lonely road trip in the night
or late night cable when the kids have left
a thousand channels
bright flickering nothing
we meet after hours in the deepest of dives
I just sit, listen,
curl myself into that hunching shape
looking like someone piled old laundry on a stool
and act as chaperone
an escort of sorts, you know, like those fresh faced kids in college
earning some bucks walking lifesize cartoons around for pictures
and with a bar top slap, I know he's got one, he's revved up
a steampunk machine running on old rye and spasms
"know this! I have faith in our sacred family values, our brave military and our cellular plans!"
(it's hard to not chuckle a bit, enjoy the aerating effect a good laugh does to spirits and your pallet, just avoid aspirating too much or you bellow and cough like an amateur drinker, good god don't show weakness in a place like this or the crows will circle and I swear the shadows lengthen under the bar)
most times, as I sit next to him, removed from his sphere
detached observer that I always find myself
I notice he talks to that small sliver of himself seen between the dirty glasses
piled up against the old mirror with faded silvering
and the blackened spots frame his face
like an old time picture
representing a vast loneliness of a nation
this goddamn solitude we find in crowded rooms
"My opponent here is working with Chilean miners, violent video game makers and angry chefs, goddammit"
once curse words are added, we'll be on our way soon
the barkeep's tips weren't that big
and the mutterings from the corners are beginning
as his outbursts begin to chisel into the hazy bubbles of regulars
I pull him out into the night
away from cheap wine and leaded glass
red faced, blustering,
cool air confusing him for a moment
and, lightswitched, he walks with a purpose,
back to the maindrag and streetlights,
calling it a night with a wave and one last holler:
"I want an America where Somali pirates and Rupert Murdoch yes-men cannot corrupt our precious environment!"
I just stand and wave back.

Where Did We Go

What happened to us?
Where did we go?
Is there love still there?
And will it ever show?

There's really good days and really bad days,
Sometimes it's as if our hearts have went their seperate ways,

I often think we just tolerate each other,
Cause we know how exhausting it is to start over with another,

There's weeks at a time we go without sex or passionate kissing,
Everything we had in the beginning I know we're both missing,

What happened to us?
Where did we go?
Is the love still there?
And will it ever show?

You used to make me feel pretty, confident, and loved,
Now I feel forgotten, Hated, Pushed and shoved,

Believe me, I know I'm hard to deal with and be around,
And your heartbeat when I'm With you now makes a different sound,

I miss the feeling I used to get being with you, like I was enough,
Now somedays I feel useless to you and getting used to it is really tough,

What happened to us?
Where did we go?
Is the love still there?
And will it ever show?

We once hated being apart even for a little while,
And it was so easy to make each other giggle and smile,

Why is it so hard for us to get that back? Why?
Some days I wanna lay in bed all day and cry,

I know we could be something so great,
I just pray that for us it's not too late,

What happened to us?
Where did we go?
Is the love still there?
And will it ever show?

Do you even love me the way you did at first?
Or is it just dream bubbles I have that are about to burst?

Sometimes it's as if we are strictly best friends who live together,
Not two people in love who want to be with each other forever,

We don't talk like we used to, we just sit and play on our phones,
As if we aren't even in the same room like we're in different zones,

What happened to us?
Where did we go?
Is the love still there?
And will it ever show?

You have no idea how much you really mean to me,
I wish you could have my thoughts for a day and then you'd see,

That since the day I met you my heart has been yours, and I've loved you,
I love you just as much now as i always have and I hope you feel the same way too,

Maybe our hearts will come back together like they should be,
Cause I know there's noone else out there as perfect as you for me,

What happened to us?
Where did we go?
Is the love still there?
And will it ever show?

Premium Member Prominent Tongue

I’m just having a good laugh while I still can dude before life takes its heavy grip

Until the community of clowns in disguise tie my tongue to their altar of reason

You think of a genius in the making but I just blew bubbles from my backside

Need some counter balance as not to think I’m off parity before the next photo

For the record I’m a bit sick of all those Rolling Stones songs on your play list

I can get satisfaction and you will be dancing to my tune as long as I tell you

Not yet silenced I am and you can’t always get what you want but will receive

What you need and moss could grow fat on that stone if you tried hard enough

I am your American dream or just pie in the sky for pi is a resolute number

And while I look like a young Einstein I favour the arts and a poet I’ll be

‘Baby’s got blue eyes holding back the pain’ reflecting the glow on your face

Give me face paint and Munch’s scream will look like Monet’s water colours

And those cute little ears I hear you marvel such fine complete composition

Soon they will find an audition of rebellion ignoring trite shallow advice

Craft verses and rhythm deliver fine words you never dreamt of hearing

The comedy will be shattering with a bit of existential philosophy in the mix

You can project dadada’s and incy-wincy spiders as long as the cows mew

I drink from a fountain of pleasure and spill ink on your canvas of conditioning

Think that I am overanalysing but that is what you do when I smirk and giggle

Canned laughter comes in Campbell’s soup cans and better Warhol than wars

Innocent facial composure lies in the eye of beholders and dreams are for real

Let me play for that is the best I can do when drama and tragedy loom so soon

I’ll have my dreadlocks in plaits and you must not be scared of Sylvia’s mother

Van Gogh had one ear but a writer needs only one incisive tongue to critique

My stream will be subconscious when I write about the meaning of imagination

When naïve contortions depict a world with smiles laughter and freedom

I will not change much from when the photographer took this digital image

Blue eyes stuck out tongue two ears one voice whatever you make of it now

Saving Grace

When empty bubbles of stillness brimmed the place
Upon an emerald carpet of meads, she genuflected with gathered grace
Of languished bones and reverence plucked from nunhood hearts.
Mighty potentate dear, the wonted beseeching starts.

Oh! May the taper of thought illuminate the native firmament of youth
With eternal beams of clemency and immaculate truth.
May remnants of vernal days, emulate the unsullied string of murmuring Rhine
Which lofty silvern moon looks through in her decline.

Oh! Bestow sleets of diamond, shower the withering faith abundantly
My genuine night in ancient might and atrous raven majesty
Never admits a lucid ray of Cynthia's placid light
Nor scarce a pristine spark from virgin Lilies white.

In festal exuberant mirth, flowers rich in prime often steep
Banished from fervid fancies, my dreams slither from sepulchres of sleep
Dreary like spectres embroidered in soot-black cloak
Yoked with throat gripping images of woe, clawed than forked foot of hawk.

Oh! Grand down the enormous wing of unyielding throes
Intercepting the sun's beam of daffodil gold to disclose
The jolly throng of seeming friends in vizard faction knit.
Raze with fanged rust, the malignant swarm of antagonizing foes assailing in skits.

Once these cheeks flushed bright than crimson blossoms glow
Alack! Over those, briny springs of melancholy flow
From heights of penitence, from depth of pain suppressed
Creeping like subtle snakes from hollowed cavities of earth's breast.

Since wisdom hoarded in writhled lores and hoary sage
Never fades, stroked by boundless surges of age.
Since the raging cold of thawed snow, is kindly kept in summer's temperate heat
The severe taste of my delayed revenge, is neither lost in circles of time nor deplete.

Oh! Divine celestial quill, in rich characters of light, write…
Before the blind sentence groped to distinct light
Restless billows of black-faced misery, wretched the brass-chain of words away
Her thoughts bitter and sweet mingled without delay.

Through hollowed glades redoubled echoes nimbly fly
Plumed like pinions in boundless circles scan the scaled sky
Bearing the closing effort of sacred orisons, sealed with despairing cry
Imploring the sovereign sublime, perched upon Elysium throne
Oh! “Let go the string, before this withering faith is tempest blown."

Gus, Trainer, of Puppets Mall Exodus III

And thus began their heroic journey through the fantastical labyrinth of the escape room, where every twist and turn carried the promise of freedom, laughter, and the unforeseen—the perfect remedy for chaos and an unexpected road trip back to normalcy. After all, in a place where even a bunny could be a hero, and a Man is a Woman, anything was possible. Even a Media run Presidential Campaign supported by Big Tech, Google and the FBI !

As Penney and Gus entered the vibrant escape room, the door clicked shut behind them, "Penney parted from the impending loom, weaving her curiosity in a gape driven plume; punctuating the chaotic symphony of the mall with a sense of immediate sanctuary. The room was a kaleidoscope of interesting colors, smells—walls adorned with whimsical murals of enchanted forests, floating bubbles, and scattered stars. Even some Left Wing styled fecal graffiti, as if plastered from the hand to Trump sign out of TDS. It felt like stepping into another world, far removed from the madness outside. A home away from home !

“Okay, what’s the first clue?” Gus asked, glancing around at the eclectic decorations, which ranged from giant inflatable mushrooms to shimmering disco balls. They needed to think fast, and the first challenge awaited like a Mother given the news that the police would be escorting her child home after a bonus round of shoplifting at Castle Megastore had landed her in the "Stoney Loaf".

“Over there!” Penney exclaimed, pointing to a large, comically oversized egg perched precariously atop a pedestal. “There’s bound to be something inside!”

They approached cautiously, the soft thump of their footsteps muffled by the plush carpet that crunched as they stroke on, I mean strode on, apparently-designed to match the room's carnival theme or was it Carnivaal, Carnibaal? No matter, with a gentle push, Gus nudged the egg, and it wobbled dangerously before them. A creaky voice echoed from within, making them jump.

“Beware the wrath of the bouncing bunny, and tell Nanceycat to invest in BlackRock!”, it croaked, before the egg split open, revealing a tangle of colorful ribbons and a single, glittering key.

“Perfect!” Penney cheered, plucking the key from the chaos. “Let’s see what it unlocks.” She scanned the walls for a keyhole, eyeing an intricate door covered in glowing glyphs.

DAUGHTERS

DAUGHTERS

Opposites presented by Goddess
in talons of Eagle
         on wings of Dove
Equally loved

A torrent from a fierce black cloud
yang frothing waves in a storm
         beating seaweed rocks
claiming it in her bosom
       then furling it afar
         into unknown depths
where Neptune roars
his roar on end
boasting an indigo flag

Then ...light as a feather
yin floating on a shimmering beach
rosy ringlets microscope crabs, bubbles
      giggling at ant antics
         in crevices of creaky floorboards
            while autumn Sun sets
dew drops on clover leaves
so misty morning says Hello !

A dancing juicy apricot
  kisses at library doors
spongy beneath oak exterior
where beetles dug a hundred paths
staring defiance at an orange star
  scornful, graceful, factual
proclaiming a Largeness of Life !

An Earth child in long waves of auburn
reaching for Mercury
     A Spirit child, Earth located
One imaged from bowels of struggle
she whispered freedom in my ears
  when behind prison bars
I sat counting toes

One imaged from Gabriel’s gown
or was it Merlin’s ?
she fingered watercolours
through my lenses
            As Saturn said goodbye ...

Sirius screamed from wreaking hell
wrought from rages or sages unknown
Born in blood without its blue
from a womb of turmoil tremors
           crystal dripping dark strife
               hypocrisy contemplated
torn apart by churning guts
      as young medics ogled
                           grimaced, searched
so premature, so incubated
it was “I will survive!”

Sun and Moon crossed one another
not knowing which way but loose
streaming rivers flowing sideways
in dusty towns, painted villages, rape
a gecko appeared on a pillowcase
        Gangster peeped through a window
books came tumbling down
            numbers flew away
lashes black as croaking crow
it was “I am here!”

There can be no coin to
        ponder if not faces two
no tornado ripping apart
     if no breezes play on
a horse farm in Karoo
No life if no death

      Night clings to day
as daybreak clings to escaping night
       sunset embraces twilight
negates itself, disappearing
one embalming the other while
flying
    together on a silver thread
in blueberry Sky !

Light bubbles of painted canvas, dancing amongst the softness
Of heavenly space amidst the skies above, wind walkers captured
In a timeless waltz of everlasting eloquence and grace!
Swift air lanterns, set drifting, uplifting the mortal spiritual soul
Of the beguiling eyes of those enlighten, whom watch in sheer
Awes amazement, at the beauty of these gliding giants, in the
Distant horizons blazing sunset!
Currents breeze chasers, swaying to and forth on the delicate
Fridge of the starry night’s encroachment, oh brilliant weavers
Of this dreaming quilt of opulence majestic, I’m lost within your
Fabrics motion, as waves of air flutter ever so lightly, in the rippling
Effect of thy flight!
Floating elemental orbs, steamily bouncing between the heavens
And the earth, chariots heat balloons elevating the inspirational
Heights of mankind, exposing the grandeur of our magnificent
World that surrounding us all, in natural beauties ultimate
Masterpiece beyond our mortal existence!
Splendor’s optical window of the open air experience,
Lifting the physical being on the wings of imagination,
Casting away the shackles of the land, and releasing
The inner dreamer, welcoming them to join within their sacred
Dance amongst these vast divides of Nirvana!
Free falling angels, cradled within this timeless basket of inspiration,
Gently are thee to be rocked by the very breathe of God himself,
For you’ve entered into the kingdom of the heights most majestic,
Be still now, and just listen to the whispering of the angelic,
As your heart beholds the wonder beneath gravity’s unbound
Feet!
Carelessly let these moon children be illumined, by the
Ivory pearl that lingers within this glorious twilight surrender,
No journey’s end will ever capture this spiritual moments
Experience, in such glorious detail as the remembrance carried
Within the human hearts memory so tenderly embraced!
