Premium Member The Lamp of Learning

A flame of knowledge, burning bright,
It illuminates the darkest night.
A girl, with eyes of eager quest,
Seeks wisdom's lamp, to light herself brightly.

Through shadowed paths, she seeks to find,
The guiding light, for heart and mind.
The lamp of learning, burning bold,
Unveils the secrets, and stories told.

With every lesson, she takes flight,
Towards a future, shining bright.
The lamp of learning, burning strong,
Will guide her steps, where she belongs.

Brighten Your Day

Do not allow things to disturb
Your peace of mind.
  Stay focused you have
An ax to grind.

  Always be kind to
Every person you meet.
  Learn to relax take a
Load off your feet.

  Allow your inner glow
To come out.
Leave it alone if you have
Second thoughts about.

  Get over your mistakes
Of the past.
  Do the right thing, until
You breathe your last.

  Stay noble and you will
Avoid rage.
  Don't allow them to
Rattle your cage.

  Always be strong,
There is nothing you should fear.
  Stay alert, wait until
The facts are clear.

  Stay happy and it keeps
Worry at bay.
  Only you can brighten
Your day.

Premium Member A Poem

A poem can be many things
Something that match
Like flowers blossoming
That soothe your eyes
With colours that are describing
Something that resemble
Like sunshine and stars
That brighten up your world
With light rays that are bombastic
Something that speak
Like running water
That voices out your heart
With sounds that are not silent
Something that run wild
Like an imagery world
That grants you every wish
With every possibility that may
not exist in the real world

THERE'S PEACE IN THE BRIGHTEN QUIET

Those are the facts of times of life
There are peace in the quiet
The darkness come at day
Those are the facts of times of life
Blackening the skies from blue to gray
Brilliants shades of hope lit up bright white
Those are the facts of times of life
There are peace in the quiet

Premium Member The Moon

Rugged rocky faces
Refracted light of the sun
To wake up the night
To brighten up the lanes
To shine the roof tops
To beautify the world
To turn darkness into
Moonlit romance
To sprinkle heavenly light
On the depressed hearts
At every corner
Of the earth

Brighten My Page

Brighten my page
When ever I sit and do my writing
Reading it back can be a little frightening
It’s all very dark depressing and low
I wish from my pen light land happiness could flow
I beg of my pen unlock this cage
Allow me please to brighten my page
It never permits to set me free
Won’t soften it’s lines or release me
My internal pain is all I can show
True feelings inside all dark with no glow
Every verse must reflect my soul
So over the page my pen does scroll
It writes of my madness
And my lonely sadness
So until I can pull my self free and clear
From these long shadows that I constantly fear
My pen will keep me trussed and tied
All access to the brightness For me denied

Her Smile Will Brighten Up a Sunny Day Tritina For Messina

If I could wave a magic wand to bring her back to us again
A time before a monster came and slowly took her brain away
Malevolence incarnate an unwelcome guest on a sunny day

Secretly arriving, silently entwining, spreading evil on a sunny day
Now too late to shut the gate, life cannot be the same again
With malicious intent it slowly devours her precious mind away

Family devastation of cruel realization, this disease will never go away
No inkling when Alzheimer's crept inside her mind that fateful day
A wife, a mother, a granny, a friend, life cannot be the same again

Hold her hand again, wipe all tears away, her smile will brighten up a sunny day

Premium Member No Sun - Can I Brighten Your Day

There is no sun in the skies today
Perhaps I can brighten your day...
by sending you all a little love

Brighten a Person's Day

Brighten a person's day
Enlighten, uplift, and empower
That is the kindred spirit
Every minute and hour
Build that momentum
Have a positive attitude
Continue to be persistent
Always show your gratitude

Brighten My Heart

Brighten my heart
With a thousand suns
Rip off my mind
With a million words
Play me like strings
Here and in my dreams

Tell me to come
And I'll be your home
For you I'd sing
Like a bird with one wing
And I'll make you smile
That'll last for a while
