What the Silence Hid

She smiled in rooms that cracked her spine,
where beauty bruised and grace meant lie.
They called her calm, not knowing this–
each breath she took was clenched like fists.
The silence praised was not her peace. 
It was the cage. She found the keys.

shape the emotes by mind expressed
as we tip toe on holy ground

void of emptiness energised
there being no ego that feigns

Rise and Glide

We break the cage and rise so high,
With wings of steel, we touch the sky.
Pouring gold in the rain, we soar,
Chasing dreams forevermore.

We shatter the cage, then rise and glide,
With wings of steel, in the storm we ride.
Gold in the rain, we leave behind,

The water whispers 
Over the weary rocks' edge 
Roaring to freedom

I have shared my tale as a woman,
In words that flowed, and a voice reborn,
I sang of pain and loss,
And also of triumph and breaking free,
Of liberation's warmth, and of new birth,
As I spoke out, the weight began to fade,
Unseen wounds healing, no longer delayed.

In vulnerability, I found my might,
A strength that rose, like morning

though i have bills left to pay
i make a needed bad decision again
the beach is calling me
i do anything and everything to avoid the obvious and do the opposite
defiance is the devil in disguise and a blessing as a backup
however, i enjoy breaking free going somewhere where i am needfully unfamiliar
i deserve getting it
