Breaking Free

I never understood myself
Even in the mirror, I saw a stranger
Who is different from me

My voice was silenced
Longing to be free, to be me
But I was trapped, locked away

Until I decided to break the chain
As I saw the sky, I knew I had to run
I saw a water body, glanced its face
For the first time, I saw myself
