Premium Member Ten Blindfolded Poets

If you seated ten blindfolded Poetry Soup poets around a table

That had only ever interacted and connected long term online

Asked the ten to chat to each other and ask questions

Though NO conversation whatsoever of the poetry or personal kind

I wonder if at end of this chat session

When the still blindfolded poets were told ten names

If they could pick any of the poets correct identities

Sounds like a fun and interesting game!

Too busy looking into mirrors of old
to be present and joyous today;
Wild wind is blowing the Sun’s shining
you’re stuck in a room with no windows;

To be present and joyous today
take the blindfold off feel the melody;
You’re stuck in a room with no windows
the wondrous world is impossible to see;

Take the blindfold off feel the melody,
let go of the songs from the past;
The wondrous world is impossible to see
if you only live it from another time;

Let go of the songs from the past
replaying as they clog your heart;
If you only live it from another time,
a moment disappears from the future;

Replaying as they clog your heart
wild wind is blowing the Sun’s shining;
A moment disappears from the future,
too busy looking into mirrors of old.

Blindfolded Butterfly

There she was , blindfolded by butterfly wings ,
Collecting shells lost in a forgotten coral reef ,
Listening to the rhythm of her breathless sighs ,
A self confessed queen , handcuffed by pearls and lace ,
While ocean of emotions gathered her strength ,
Standing in the disturbing edges of history ,
she finally found her piece of peace,
Where the paths have no name within a lion heart ,
As return of the butterflies were lilacs in barren meadows,
She whispered “lead me to the stars where virtual hypocrisy was a home for volcanic minds and harmonious hearts my dahlin’ “…

Unable to know their enemies
the wretched fought
blindfolded in a battle
their true foes forgot.

Blindfolded

Dying the slow death of political infection,
it hides within our words

As we try to run, and try to hide,
its plague a constant scourge

Poisoning the water, despoiling our thoughts,
all freedom it commands

Directing the folly, conscripting all joy
—our blindfold it demands

(Dreamsleep: August, 2019)

Blindfolded I Like You

Bliindfolded,I like you.
In the heart also,I will place you.
Will this dream come true,
How do you make yourself?
Blindfolded,I like you.
In the heart also,I will place you.

Blindfolded

The hollow listens, a hum echoes
blindfolded, the fright released
taunts spill the night
in apprehension

Dust blows in off the day
a deserted island of despair

Empty, the hands circle back
inner moments of mistake
doubt delivering her blow
then bows out of sight

Left, to ponder, to wonder
why the nails never cry
with all the pounding inside

Blindfolded

Hello, I am
Another piece on the board
to be swept away;
Hello.

Hello, I am
a single dreaming lonely child
waiting to be ignored:
Again, hello.

Hello, I am
the man who has loved you
for the entirety of his life;
For the last time, hello.

Lady Justice,

I have sought you all my life
to ask you to grant but one request --
To say "hello" to this ugly, cruel world
you left behind so long ago.

Blindfolded

As I'm led into the darkness
An abyss of the unknown
My body starts to tingle
From my head down to my toes

The excitement of the danger
The blind leading the blind
Heightens my awareness
Of what's not far behind

I feel you start to touch me
It's like prickles down my spine
My anticipation killing me
I want you all for mine

You start to tease and taunt me
Making my heart beat fast
Knowing damn well you'll drag it out
You want the fun to last

I feel your hot breath
Brush against my neck
My hands are bound behind me
I'm at your every demand

You're kisses are like waves of passion
Cresting in my mouth back and forth
Using my tounge against its will
Crashing hard inside my mouth

Please don't make me wait no more
I can not take the pressure
I need for you to ravage me
Let me know you are my master

I fell in love when I first peered,
Peered deep into her intentions.
She removed my blindfold,
Releasing my eyes from other people's deceptions.

Excited, no longer emotionally blind,
Or living in a daze.
I jumped for joy, intellectually free,
Free to escape this moral maze.

I became open, brave and honest,
Fun, spirited and daring.
Trying everything that was noble,
Noble like giving and sharing.

Giving important things she wanted,
Giving love, lust and security.
And sharing all sorts of truths,
All truths of utter impurity.

And then she told me her desire was to be,
Blindfolded away from the light.
To imprison her mind, she said it would be
An excitingly ferocious delight.

She loves her emotional blindness,
Intellectually in the black.
Now I’m free to chain her mind down,
With a quick, harsh, punishing smack.

Blindfolded

I'm good at being alone.
I'm used to being alone...

But not like this- not like
I can't tell if I'm alone
Or not- as if

You have blindfolded me
In silence, then left me

In silence- I don't know
If you are close or
Out of reach-

Would you hear me
If I screamed?

Are you still watching
To see what I'll do,
Or did you leave
A long time ago?-

I just don't know;
You didn't tell me
Anything-

You're not telling me
Anything-

I reach out my arms
But I don't know
What to reach for...

A hand?
	A wall?
		A door?

Is there anything left
To reach for?

Blindfolded

I'm blindfolded
I can see nothing
I don't know how I got here
Where ever here is
I taste blood
I hear nothing
My heart racing in my chest
There is pain in my hands and legs
I feel weight on my head
Heavy weight
The pain is more severe now
I turn my head
But it doesn't help
I still can't see
I scream out "HELP!"
There is no reply
My body hurts so badly
I try to get up
But the pain is so bad a scream with pain
I know something is in my hands and legs
Then I feel the lights in the room come on
My blindfold comes off
I look around me
I'm in a dirty room
I'm sitting in a dentist chair
I look down
My hands have metal poles stabbed through them
And the same with my legs
I can't move
The pain is too much
I see my head is in a metal set
With bars in front of my eyes
"What is this?" I ask myself
Then I hear a sound of static
Then a strange sounding voice says my name
"Amy, Let’s play a game"
I know what this is now
Jigsaws game

To See the Sunset Blindfolded

It's a rare thing in life,
To come across someone,
That truly completes you.
You look into their eyes,
And you see them-
In awe of the beauty,
They were meant to be seen for.
Like searching the depths of a deep dark cave,
But even without the light,
You already know every crevis.
Caressing all the smoothe places in admiration,
But really appreciating the rock and rough spots.
Love can be blind,
If being blind meant truly seeing,
For even the blind see with other senses,
Though enhanced,
The senses make up for the loss of sight.
How do the blind see beauty?
When they don't possess functioning eyesight?
And why does a blind man smile,
When he can't see the sunrise for himself?
The warmth of love is blind they say,
But do we really know what we're looking at?
When it comes to love, vision is meaningless.
Compared to the love that goes beyond the eye,
Forever holding us for eternity.
