Blindfolded Butterfly

There she was , blindfolded by butterfly wings ,
Collecting shells lost in a forgotten coral reef ,
Listening to the rhythm of her breathless sighs ,
A self confessed queen , handcuffed by pearls and lace ,
While ocean of emotions gathered her strength ,
Standing in the disturbing edges of history ,
she finally found her piece of peace,
Where the paths have no name within a lion heart ,
As return of the butterflies were lilacs in barren meadows,
She whispered “lead me to the stars where virtual hypocrisy was a home for volcanic minds and harmonious hearts my dahlin’ “…

I think your free verse is just as beautiful as your rhyme. Keep up with the golden pen.

You have a gift that flows so naturally, the way true expression is most effectively offered - without embellishments that veil true meaning - great writing.

I am loving the imagery and alliterations and the way you’ve crafted this poem in such eloquence so much. The island ish diction and how you’ve described this queen is beyond impeccable. Sorry for reading you late i didnt see this before but now i see it is on winners list. I especially love “ handcuffed by pearls and lace” how gorgeous! And what a deep line that is, if one is handcuffed even with gold still they are considered as being shackled! Love that! You truly are a talented one dahlin.

Congratulations on your win The Aura Rhymes! Recherché, I pick through your lines "There she was a self-confessed queen, standing in the disturbing edges of history, she finally found her piece of peace" She is a warrior isn't she? :)

Oh my, this is absolutely a breathtaking write, dear Aura! I'm loving the oceanic and island like imagery here.. And the blindfolded butterfly truly fluttered in the dawns of peace in this one.. It's so hard to choose a fav line here as every description adds on to the overall beauty, so gracefully crafted.. "blindfolded by butterfly wings", "ocean of emotions gathered her strength", " by pearls and lace" , "harmonious hearts my dahlin" Ahh, definitely an Oceanic Queen :) love this
