Eden of my eye
Beauty in culture of ten million
Garden of my eye
Haven of brethren and sistren

Values never weakened, in words spoken
Freedom strengthened, heritage golden

Sprinkled love in dynamite
Ceilings of heaven in stalactites
Grounds softened by stalagmites
Citizens' history, written in strobe light

Magnets of loving people
Ore of the grounds supple
Blanket of salvation
Tablet and core of the nation

Swesish Saga

Gerda left Sweden with an odd liking for turnips.
She claimed hard labor ruined her hands.
She hated her father.
Fritchof walked like an ex-sailor.
He had a vein-blue tattoo on his left hand.
He once sailed the Red Sea and grew a mustache.

They met in Vancouver. A brown wedding oval preserves
her stiff upper lip, his doubting earnestness.
She made him smoke his after-dinner cigar
in a corner where he taught me chess.
On the morning he died my mother removed the half pint
of Jim Beam from his bed-table drawer.

Gerda now reads the Bible to her son.
He is 50 and masturbates in the tub.
They go to faith healers.
He has actually seen the Devil!

I'Ll Be Waiting For You In Sweden

i will not blind you,
and I will not strike you with my brightness,
if you want to find me
you will always find me in the same place, on its axis
motionless,
endearing statue admiring the cute pigeons kissing,
i will not run after the sun,
i will not run after other stars, or
after the moon
for
i'm not made to walk from place to place,
not when the sun ribut not even at sunset,
if you want, in a day
or a century
you'll find me still,
for
the sky is moving for me,
you will always find me in the same place,
saguaro flower surrounded by stars,
and
if you want to see me
without the horizon or the height of the celestial heaven staying our way
you could move to sweden,
i will not blind you,
and i won't hit you like thunder,
and, if you want, even it might take several years
i could clone myself as the southern cross,
or
in the little cloud of magellan,
and if you want to be the big cloud, there are proven advantages that in their strangeness they are poorer in metals than the milky way,
but,
better, though, i'd say, it is more practical to wait for you in sweden

Oland

In Oland, where the wind meets the sea,
A love story once began for you and me.
We walked along the shore hand in hand,
Promised to love each other, never to disband.

Old fate had a different plan heretofore,
As you were called to heaven's door.
My heart shattered into a million pieces,
As I struggled to accept life's unpredictable creases.

The memories of our love still linger on,
The sound of your laughter, warmth and charm.
I close my eyes and see you in my dreams,
Hoping that you hear my silent screams.

The island of Oland where our love bloomed,
Now seems empty, dark and doomed.
Sadly I know that you're watching over me,
A guiding light, a star in the endless sea.

In the stillness of the night, I talk to you,
Whispering sweet nothings, hoping you'll hear them too.
For love knows no boundaries, timeless as the sky
In my heart, my tears will cry, why oh lord, why oh why

So here's to the love we once shared,
A memory that will never be impaired.
In Oland, where the wind meets the sea,
I'll love you now and for eternity.

Guns In Sweden

Guns in Sweden

Sweden has problems with too many guns
shoots hole in the night.
Many refugees came to Sweden, who thought
when the refugees discovered a Nordic paradise
they would become Swedes overnight.
The inhabitance of this Eden has a discriminatory heart.
The glance of an eye tells the truth.
There was a clash of culture.
People of the same philosophy likes to live close to each other,
for them, Sweden has a cold heart.
No work no education, guns are easy to buy.
I don´t know the solution
Perhaps the Nordic people, are too regimented
and it will take time to change this attitude.

Premium Member Pretending To Be On the Phone

we've all done it
or we used to do it
nowadays we can feign
sending messages

in touch-and-go back streets
in dodgy areas at night
in the office to appear
being busy

to avoid babbling
with a colleague
to avoid a bothersome
old lady at the bus stop

bell didn't invent the
gossipy horn
he jibber-jabbered
with the mutt

which is another
prop you could
pretend to be
chewing the fat with

talk with a stuffed animal
talk with a photo
talk with a tomato plant
talk with the mirror

sweden had their
own phone number
so you could pretend
to be talking to them

Winter In Sweden

Below zero in a refrigerator,
I sat in a fetal position,
Trembled like a wet wren,
Yearning to feel the blazing flame of summer.
Teeth chatting with those brain neurons,
Fist clenching, not able to move,
Hypothermia began to set in,
My cells were paralyzed by the monster.
My heart, a sleeping dove,
Silenced and tranquilized,
Each heart beat longed to dance
But the hideous snowflakes forbad it.

Premium Member 2023 Fifa Womens World Cup - Spain Vs Sweden

Spain and Sweden were scoreless leading up to the 81st minute when Salma Paralluelo fired a low shot to beat the keeper to give Spain the lead. Sweden's Rebecka Blomqvist leveled late in the 88th minute. Sweden’s celebration lasted only a minute. Olga Carmona scored a beauty off a corner kick, firing Spain into their first Women's World Cup final. All of this took place within 10 minutes! Sweden's semifinal exit marked the fourth time this has happened to The Blue and Yellow at this stage in World Cups. This, plus losing the 2003 World Cup final and two silver medals in the past two Olympic Games, have made Sweden specialists in international tournament disappointment. Wiping tears from her eyes, Sweden's captain Kosovare Asllani said in a post-game interview, "I'm so tired of crying championship tears... We deserved to be in the final, but that's how football is." But it's not over yet for Sweden. They will face the loser of the Australia and England semifinal in the third-place playoff. Sweden will attempt to finish third for the fourth time. Kudos to La Roja, the youngest team to reach the final (average age 25.3) since 1995.

Sweden's deja vu
fairytale finish for Spain—
cheers for La Roja!

Janet (Dedicated To Janet Anderson From Sweden)

There is a blue star, Janet . . .

(from an unknown English poet)

Somewhere is a distant star

called Janet. Why?

One little girl flew there many years ago.

Nobody knew why she did this

or how she flew there.

But one familiar wind told me

about a great love Janet had

for the Little Prince

who lived on the star «B-612».

The famous French writer-pilot,

A. Saint-Exupery,

told about him in his book,

«The Little Prince.»

Janet flew toward the star, B-612,

but lost her way in the galaxy.

So now she is the Princess

of another star.

Her little house is made of flowers.

Many kind animals and beautiful birds

live near her.

The star people love their Princess.

But every evening,

Janet goes to her garden.

She looks at the sky

for a long time.

Janet waits for her beloved Little Prince,

and she believes he must fly to her.

Some day. Maybe.

A Man From Sweden

A Man from Sweden
There was a man from Sweden,
Who married a Yemeni maiden,
He had to wear the futah,
And daily eat the Saltah,
So he could lead a happy life in Aden.
