Within Ripples

Every year from spring through fall, if you peered between the cattails you could see the swans in the center of the pond, head to head, their love peering back. On the pond's edges, from the tops of lily pads, frogs were singing of love's song as dragon flies frolicked gleefully above. We would sit and watch them countless hours, day after day as they gracefully swayed to the rhythm encircled in the reflections of love. One year in the dawning of spring, he returned alone, we watched him slowly swim with downcast head to the center of the pond, within the shadows of lost love he'd pause in the ripples that surrounded him, his sadness reaching the edges of the pond, where abandoned lily pads tilted downward caught in the spirals of his lonely tears. He still comes to the pond, muddied and alone from spring through fall, through clouded eyes we still watch him swim, wreathed within his pain we taste his loneliness.

head downcast, he swims
enclosed in the pond's ripples
his tears splashing back

What do I say to you
what do I say
could I go back?

If I can face you
face the truth
could I then save—

What question is this
it leaves me cold
leaves me with guilt

I'm here, a ghost
barely alive—
tell me I'm good

Tell me that once
the day will come
life really starts

One day you will
be me, then we grow up
we will survive

Premium Member The Real Fear

The fear of darkness seems to threaten most-
when we are lost and groping in the dark
of self. We blame unknowns; the devil, ghosts,
or even God, for fright that comes with stark,

cold, empty blackness.  Courage will depart;
just like a pearl dropped in a sea of ink,
its glow will die, while fear's black magic art
revives despair between each hurried blink

of eyes that stare at shadows to incite
     imaginary monsters of the mind.
But oft, these visions are the mirrored sight
of what we see within as eyes are blind-

for darkness lights and magnifies the whole
dim panorama of the troubled soul.

Paranormal

It’s in the air thick and strong
Doesn’t mellow in your defeat
You notice the space of smell
Something you cannot dispel
Down your back breathing ascends
You're defenseless, it tries to break in
The attack is his design
An avoidance you try to plan
But, up it creeps from your toes, on and on it goes
Your spine shivers from what is behind
Or just trying to get into your mind.

There is a painting at the art gallery,
That I have a very strong affection for;
It is a man who calls to me from the past,
He lived in the year 1670, long ago.

Long hair swept back from his face,
And those eyes so dark and fathomless;
Eyes full of passion and desire,
He does not smile yet I still adore him.

I want to reach out for this handsome man,
For he seems to be beckoning to me;
Come, is his soothing whisper echoing deeply,
Dignified his demeanor yet I know he is romantic.

Oh but if I could step within this frame,
Be in his world and in his time just for a moment;
He would caress my lips with his fingers,
And hold me within his strong arms.

And we would love each other forever,
He knows already that my heart is his alone;
We would entwine in desire and passion hungrily,
Oh yes, I have a strong affection for him.

But this is but an old painting on a wall,
And a tear falls as I reach out to touch his hand;
Then he is kissing me with lips so demanding,
And I am with him within this frame, forever.

Butterflies and Daisies

Butterflies and daisies, orange and yellow day lilies,
I'd love to take you with me, but I'm just too lazy,
and you'd probably drive me crazy-
You have always, and you will always....
		-AMAZE me.

My dream has always been, to breath in a garden of zen,
and float around like bubbles; and then pop,
and do it all over again.

For we don't pick our friends, only a few will stay,
then they go right on their merry way.
Unless you are you, they'd stay for eternity,
and stay until the final day.

An angel on a soft lily pad,
with little critters keeping her company-
Fields and fields of daisies,
and butterflies surrounding all over me.

Butterflies and daisies,
purple and pink pansies,
I'd love to pick you and take you home,
	Surely I am too lazy-
You'd most likely drive my hunger crazy,

For you, My love, have saved me-
You have always, and you will always....
		-AMAZE me.

A ferocious storm battering outside
heavy winds howling a wolf
angry breaths pelting rain bullets hurl
whistling apple of these eyes
dreaming inside the howling moans
feeling your caress deeply touching
away our souls in another world kissing
mist falling down weeping inside
dreaming always with you by my side

A deep sigh of pain yearning loves voice
distant tears weeping from the heart and soul
floating with light into another world
blinded by everything one sees
queen off the rainbows mist
through lashes bouquet colors
sensing many emotions deeply felt
crying happy crying sad crying glad
dreaming always with you by my side

Premium Member Little Princess In Satin

Little princess in satin shoes and dress
Curtain rises as she makes her debut,
Important attendees are me and you
She has been afraid of making a mess
Dancing across stage’s apron finesse,
To a rousing applause in ev'ry pew
Little princess in satin.

Tomorrow her troupe will be in the press
I’m certain she’ll receive a top review
She’s already got an award or two,
She continues to blossom, what progress!
Little princess in satin.

Lazy, Dreamy Friday

Lazy, dreamy friday,
Take me to your breathy skies
I want to see your lonesome light glow
In my eyes you can see how darkness pervades
In my eyes you can see that I know longer feel so safe
Lazy, dreamy friday
Take my doubts away

Lazy, dreamy friday,
Hush the goodbyes that still echo in the ground
Let the fiery embers of lust dim into cool resolve
It is in my heart that you create what now I cope
It is in my heart that I can face the world's larger scope
Lazy, dreamy friday
You alone are my only hope

Lazy, dreamy friday
Let me rest where the trees upward gaze
I need your drooping sun in the eyes of waiting night
In your trust I can end the day on a drifting breeze
In your trust I can fully be at blissful ease
Lazy, dreamy friday
Pave the paths to imminent peace

Hiding in the bushes he waits to pounce,
he enjoys Goobers and Gobstoppers, right to the very last ounce.
He might settle for a Snickers or even a Kit Kat,
he’s black, shiny and sneaky this Halloween Cat.

He may cross your path and give you quite a fright,
but he just wants your candy on this October night.
This Halloween Kitty is surely not a joke,
he even knows the Heimlich just in case you should choke.

Please don’t mistake his kindness for weakness my friend,
he seeks to get your treats before this night’s end.
Take heed and beware of this Halloween Kitten,
he can see through your bag and with chocolate he’s smitten.

~A Gem of an Inheritance~ Reposr!

Leave your family with virtues
taught, that are Divine!
A major quality called integrity,
will keep their world ashine.

Teach them to never be a sheep,
But, in all relations to shepherd goodness!
A sparkling gem to share and keep.

Above all, to honor God and learn His
teachings.
To know fully He and Only He,
is the source of all Healings.

To not speak a word of evil against
another, a most egregious sin!
All the rage today, in this ungrateful
world we live in!

Above all to share with all others.
For, indeed we are all His sons
and daughters;hence all sisters
and brothers.

Teach them they are perfect as is,
There is zero reward in all our
worldly wins!
For winds come and then pass us
quickly like a bitter, winter wind.

These values are not in 401Ks
nor big banking accounts.
The values of The Spirit?
Oh! How much more, they do count!

Thank you for evading it and commenting, dear Chantelle. You are most accurate in your comments. I lived for years as an arrogant fool being better than God. I lost much for doing that. Nearly dying in the process. I had to be brought to Death's door to get the message.a miracle I am still Alive! Bunny hugs, Panagiota xx

Guile gust
I grasp your gasp
goad grafts gently glowing
the gray grove greenery growing
glean grace

Skies Straight
I snared your sight
Schizoid swing of Steward
sewn souls spewing as oxblood stems
stark stance

Wince, wight
I've weaned your whiff
the world-wedged wink was wrapped
while not washing down the wild waft
when whet

Froth flow
your frisk frame flits
follow fall foliage
freshly framed flimsy fruity field
faint flame.

Sand stake
of smog steam sieve
you stride in silence steps
by slamming a skulker-shaped slope
spread string.

When sorrows bring me down
And I haven’t a friend to be found
When dread darkens my thoughts
And nothing I feel is worthwhile
When fear colors my whole world
And hues of black flow all around

There is the opportunity, the chance
To give it all to One who can lift me up
Reassure and encourage, fill me with hope
Light my heart and soul with inspiration

There is One who listens to my plea
He understands my requests
Hears my longings and supplications

There is One who attends to my needs
He hearkens to all my petitions
He appreciates my solicitations

There is One who hears all my prayers
He listens with care to my invocations
Answers my heart’s appeals
With kindness, a tender affection
That reveals the warmth of His giving

There is One who I go to when I’m in need
One who cares, delivers and inspires
One who lights up my thoughts with joy
One who makes a way for my dreams
One who promises and I believe

There is One who knows me
And gives me His greatest gift
The love that I treasure with
Everything I believe or dream
With everything that brings me
The sweetest joy and serenity

Love like this could never be fake
It is love like this that makes a way
Where there is no way
It is love like this that shows me the way
Toward the faith that is strong, and I pray
For His mercy and grace, felt by the heart
Who knows that He is alive on the inside
And will forever bring the answers
To those pleas for compassion

MIGHTY and UNAFRAID

Master wind is singing a lullaby
Luscious limbs of the trees waving up high
Outstretched are her arms reaching every heights
Swirling free on downy clouds as she flies

Skyward in air with dull sounds, dalliance
Of an eagle rushing twining with space
With claws, her gyrating wheels in balance
Tumbling, flirting to cluster loops with grace

Her twin eyes: wise and sharp to her victim
Innocently playing beside the woods
Strongly flapping her wings quick to her whim
With a brisk dab, clinching claws grip her food

Swooping the now lifeless little green bird
To her thick nest up on the tree, where there
her seven eaglets are fledgling out wards
tweedling, calling mother eagle so dire

I, the mighty eagle of the heavens
Gifted with the strength to glide and conquer
Unafraid to spread my wings o'er Eden
Ever monarch proud in all wild wander
