Little Princess In Satin

Little princess in satin shoes and dress Curtain rises as she makes her debut, Important attendees are me and you She has been afraid of making a mess Dancing across stage’s apron finesse, To a rousing applause in ev'ry pew Little princess in satin. Tomorrow her troupe will be in the press I’m certain she’ll receive a top review She’s already got an award or two, She continues to blossom, what progress! Little princess in satin.

Good vibes from this one, Milt - memories of watching the daughters up on stage, and a lot of belly laughs at some of their missteps. Nice rondine, and congrats on your 2nd place!

"She has been afraid of receiving boos" This is sadly the case sometimes. I am glad it worked out so well for this little princess.

So adorable, Milt. I can just picture the little princess on stage, so happy... and her audience swelling with pride. Delightful write! ~ Gershon

Thanks, gw. My own daughter (after her mother and I were divorced) went on to appear in child beauty contests. I never would have allowed that, but I had no say in it.

Brought back happy memories of my three daughters in school plays. Seems a lifetime ago now and they have kids of their own. Tom

Such a lovely write for all those little girls in plays to be recognized and loved by all who are there to see and enjoy. You have captured the magical moment they feel along with the audience, teachers, and parents. Refreshing to read reminded me of my daughter Ashley in one of her plays. A favorite Milton...
