Best Moves Poems
The wind moves
It moves in many ways
How it moves
Like exotic scents of purple lavender
wafting 'neath a harvest sun
and the rise of sour yeast
inside a fresh baked currant bun
It moves like a vernal tea-rose
pollinated by wild bees
in forging threesome
or wood-trush wings
rustled through leaves
in a symphonic rainfall season
It moves like the early breath
of a newly hatched cygnet
It moves mysteriously
like a spinning moon
orbiting my little world
Like descending mist
veiling pearled dawn's birth
The wind moves
It moves in many ways
Like a half -bare shoulder
slipping through your embrace
Like starlit kisses
upon the melanchonic lines of your face
The wind moves
The wind moves in many ways
How it moves
Just like us
Just like me
Just like you
She moves in silence like a jasmine breeze
through a moonlit garden walk
She doesn't journey like a star
with a lustrous shine in a celestial sky
But just like a little rock
a little limestone rock
that crisscrossed muddy rivers
and made it to safe shores
A lifeless rock so fragile
not sturdy yet still strong
Her beauty doesn't shake fresh dewdrops
from water-lily leaves
Nor does it make blushed plum buds fall
from murky forest trees
But when his mind is filled with thoughts of her
Oh how She gets him on his knees
She lurks deeply in his soul
Her eyes,a golden tint of fireflies
glowing into his own
She kills him with her smile
like hundred nights before
and thousands moments gone
Then walks away from the forbidden door
Her fingerprints She leaves
over his lips,across his cheeks
and all her perfume in his sleep
So every woman that ever goes to him
to tease him with her kiss would know
It would never be,no it wouldn't be
His arms belong to their once upon a memory
She is the owner of his heart
and would never set it free
She,She is still his sweetest dream
His saddest song,an empty verse
The sound of a child's laughter
and chapters in between
She is still the wild street flower
The promise made to last
The lady of his life
The woman from the past
If the spirit moves me I will speak
I will share words
that no-one wants to hear
I will speak them
I will speak them loud and clear
If the spirit moves me
If the spirit moves me I will see
I will see Beauty
that no-one else can see
I will see it far and near
around me and in all things
If the spirit moves me
If the spirit moves me I will hear
I will hear things
no-one else can hear
I will hear the universe
speaking to me and I will hear
If the spirit moves me
If the spirit moves me
I will feel
I will feel the pain of others
I will feel their happiness too
I will be able to empathize
If the spirit moves me
If the spirit moves me
I will taste joy and laughter
I will live my life in peace
I will find love
I will live on in the ever-after
If the spirit moves me

This morning we jogged early
I was back in my flat by six-thirty
From my tenth floor view of the Charles River basin,
The morning was incandescently flushed by the peach-colored sun.
The transparent clouds seemed stylistically stained, artfully workshopped,
which offered a softened, Tiffany glass effect wholly worthy of worship.
I can’t stop to admire it. I’m jamming things into suitcases.
Cramming things into boxes, giving things away.
I had a second interview Monday afternoon, for Johns Hopkins med school. They put the question to me:
“The semester starts in 18 days - can you do that?”
“Yes,” I replied, and just like that, I'm a Blue Jay.
Of course, I had to withdraw from the masters program but Harvard gave me a full (95K) refund - I think they’re more excited about my med school admission than I am.
I’m not afraid of discordant notes.
They change the landscape.
Take us to new emotional places.
Any major work is going to have them.

A song for this:
Hang on Little Tomato by Pink Martini
It's Amazing by Jem
For a song that is sick, Levine's is my pick, and Adam rocks when he moves like Mick!
Written Dec. 12, 2015/ The song is Adam Levine's MOVES LIKE JAGGER. It's gotta be one of the best songs of the new millennium (BTW: Sick is slang for awesome!)
i admire the muscle
of the wind
that brought you
to my door.
i marvel at its infinite
glory as it moves my
land and shore,
and drives the hearts
desire
towards the fire that
burns for you.
i am the keeper
of such a flame;
the wind that moves you
tames me-
i am lion,
please take my roar.
The Sands of Time
The sands of time moves on without respite,
whether monarchs or humble vassals
have to bow at its moving shrine,
it drips on without kindness
without grains of solace
for souls great or small
and does not wait
for a while
as it
is
a
precious
gift of God
bestowed to man
to apply with thrift
not to waste it in vain
as moments frittered away
can never, never be regained
despite all efforts to retrieve them
despite all will to halt its silent march.
IT STILL MOVES
the earth complains
of heartburn in California
ulcers in Iraq
chicken pox in Afghanistan
sneezes and wheezes hurricanes in Atlantic
acid reflux somewhere in Mexico
it has chills at the poles
fever at the equator
sweats at the tropics
shakes all over in Japan
severe dry skin in Sahara and Gobi
vomits monsoon rains in India
its cells are dying in the Dead Sea
it foams at the Yellow River
in Venice it has a sunken feeling
some scars still hurt in Hiroshima
you’d think that the earth suffers –
it just lives the way it knows
and everything is normal
as it was a hundred years ago
or a thousand
or a million
if it complains
it’s just to grab our attention
the earth was a show off from the beginning –
it put itself together with a Big Bang
rock jut draped in green
magnificent violence
still life in motion

A blithesome royalty, sea of roses smile
delicate faces spark in emerald pasture.
Vivid sunny weeds, dandelions fragile...
no one cares, stems of careless rapture.
Petals felled in wanton lawn mowers,
roots still strong in moist warm blaze.
Radiance return, blooming little flowers
with lion's tooth, serrate leaves amaze.
Sulfur glowing yellow, sleeps in moonlight,
opalesque heads, new dream of stars
Wakes up to sun, soft balls fluffed white,
unburdened wings, fly hours after hours.
A pirouette dance of dandelion seeds
in summer sky, holding hands of wind.
Uprooted wafts fly, survive to breed,
uncertain distant lands, hope gets pinned.
Blowing birthday candles, wish of goodbye....
pangs of separation, siblings all forlorn.
They'll never be together, no tears to cry.
Life moves on, another dandelion is born.

The moon and stars call out from the night, caressing the heart in whispers of delight – quote by poet
Clear, dark night, a star studded sky
Moon raining down light so I sigh
Whispering peace through the quiet
Sparkling through silence, a riot
Graceful stars plunge down toward us
Leaving glinting paths, such a fuss
Washing the skyline in wonders
The robust voice of God thunders
This moment in time is shattered
As the moon and stars are scattered
Night hushes the shadows gently
Shapes of sweet love blink intently
This evening brings the sweethearts out
Filling hearts with hope that won’t doubt
This night, like a smile from above
Reminds us to believe in love

Across the room their eyes did meet
She heard the song, she felt the beat
They danced all night to rhythms sweet
It was a treat, it was a treat
She saw the passion in his eyes
Her desire she could not disguise
They shared kisses and ecstasy's prize
as heartbeats rise, as heartbeats rise
Was it love that this dance had spanned
Was it destiny's winning hand
Or was it something less than grand

Dad said I was a moving,
my feet and body was a grooving.
At three in dance school.
moves that were very cool.
Dance in my body and soul,
a gypsy dance or rock-n- roll.
My feet,
dance floor they will eat.
I no longer have hands
No gears or pendulum that swings
No springs or screws
I have become digital
What has time done to itself?
