The Sands of Time

                                           The Sands of Time

The sands of time moves on without respite,
                              whether monarchs or humble vassals
have to bow at its moving shrine,
                                      it drips on without kindness
                                         without grains of solace
                                          for souls great or small
                                              and does not wait
                                                    for a while
                                                         as it
                                                           is
                                                           a
                                                      precious
                                                    gift of God
                                                bestowed to man
                                               to apply with thrift
not to waste it in vain
                                         as moments frittered away
                                       can never, never be regained
despite all efforts to retrieve them
despite all will to halt its silent march.

Hello Krishnanand, Oh how you captured the relentless, impartial flow of time with such clarity and grace. A POTD! I love how you show us that time is both a gift and a stern teacher-unmoved by status, unyielding to our pleas. Your words gently urge us to cherish each moment, for once lost, they’re truly gone. Thank you for this wise, beautifully crafted reflection. Spring Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel
