We are as we were before,
But you inspire me more.

Any real poet knows you're with us or against us,
Together we're one.
The world will wonder what's wrong,
When our work here is done.

We honor the new,
We honor the old.
We do as we say.
We say as we're told.

We know the answer and it goes without saying,
Peace of mind in our work,
Moral compass not straying.

I have yet searched for your name but see you none the less,
I created this writing to honor your consistent quality,
I must admire,
I must Confess.

Premium Member How To Impress Your Mother-In-Law

Try not to roll your eyes
when she is giving helpful hints
of how she does everything.

Make sure her son (your hubby)
calls her every Sunday
and offer to help her with her gardening chores
even though you detest everything
to do with gardening

Take her a cooked casserole
every week, and sit and watch
her favorite TV show with her.
It’s the little things that count more

And let her boast about her roast
and how he(her son) loves her cooking the most.
After all, one day, you too

will be a Mother-in- Law.

An aside: This is purely fictional and written
to a prompt - to write a How to poem.
I actually loved my Mother-in-Law and we got along
famously. I was heart broken when she passed away.

You are no virgin bride
That’s YOUR son by your side
You should have kept your legs shut tight!”

Never Waste Our Time Trying To Impress Others

Time is precious and therefore we have to make it useful with a more better value for ourselves.
The moment when we meet a new person, is it better just relaxed to be ourselves and do everything as normal.
When we can gain interests or the stakeholders, it is not necessary to change, only when we are trying to impress another person to give them a better impression.
But it is just a wasting of time and we may get ourselves overreacting with a confused attitude.
Because if we are sure of ourselves or something (a product), this is indicating the much confidence we have thus a change in character or dignified on our attitude is totally unnecessary.
Be ourselves will remain the best and deliver the lasting result, because we can not sustain lifetime for impersonation others.
To impress others there are usually also involved expenses and we need to use more energy because we imitate to be another person.
If we do something good for ourselves and for the community, it is not really necessary to impress others, just presume we make it for zero additional costs.
Good things will of course be spreading like the wildfire, especially when others are feeling contented, because word of mouth is the best thing that could happen.
Only impress ourselves by doing good things and something we can be proud of.
That will give the best impression for our life and every second is not a wasted time for us.

I wish you a healthy life.

Dressed To Impress- Girls Night Out Contest

T'was a lovely summer evening
To a fancy dress party we are to go
Dressed up in crepe paper
as rainbows i have you know

We cut and sewed and stuck
Ra-raa skirts with bodice tops
Hats akimbo with moon and stars
We thought we looked the tops

Was difficult to sit down
As it crinkled and stuck to skin
So we leant and stood up
Glass in hand much more within.

Then it happened
Someone lit a cigarette in the toilet
Smoke alarms went off with might
Plus the sprinkler system, what a sight

Six very wet and dripping girls
Crepe paper hanging low
Someone grabbed the cloth's off the tables
To hide our modesty but ohh

A lovely view was made by all of us
Hair hanging down make up askew
Not a lot of clothing was worn
Just panties on a few.

If ever you use crepe paper
To make a fancy dress
Make sure you wear adequate clothing
Unless you want to do more than impress

Who Are They Trying To Impress

Who Are They Trying to Impress?

A cross between the bride of Frankenstein
And the Dalmatians’ Cruella De Ville
See teens walking at malls; glad they’re not mine
Absurd appearances give me a chill

Parents with tattoos ride on a Harley
Leather coats and gloves cut off at knuckles
Sprung from these roots that appear so gnarly
Teens upstaging their folks give me chuckles

DRESS TO IMPRESS

First Impression - Impress Me Contest

Oh Giorgio how can i imress you
What words can i say
Shall I write about a blue sky
On a summers day.

Maybe a mighty boat
That sailed away to heavens gates
Taking with it our loved ones
To a painfree  home, to watch and wait

Think i will write about the heartache
Brought on by those in power
Sending our lads to fight
A battle no one wants to endure

How about I write of love
You seek and you will find
Where you want to hold and touch
Lustily seductive, mind twisting kind

Hope i have impressed  you
With these few words of mine
Even more so I think
Cos i penned it all in rhyme

Prince Harry’s to wed Meghan Markle
Her dress, see it shimmer and sparkle
What I can’t understand…
It cost fifty-six grand
No wonder there’s such a debacle!

Inspired by another news story

N B The haute couture dress was originally on sale for a whopping £56,000 ($77,587.23) but I've read they got it at a reduced cost

I Impressed You, So It Was Worth It

We had just started dating when you locked you keys in the car.
The window was cracked so I shoved my arm in.
I couldn’t reach the door lock since my arm is straight.
So I broke my arm in an L shape and unlocked the door.
I impressed you, so it was worth it.

We had been dating a couple weeks when I finally got the courage for our first kiss.
It was so powerful it curled my toenails.
I had to go to the podiatrist to get my toenails removed.
I had to wear special medical boots and endure pain for months.
I impressed you, so it was worth it.

One day we were walking on the nature trail in the park.
There was a snake on your side of the trail but you didn’t see it.
I pushed you out of the way and took the snake bite.
I lost half of my left calf muscle.
I impressed you, so it was worth it.

We were walking home in a bad storm when an electric line broke above.
I threw you out of the way to safety.
The electric line came down and hit my left arm.
It was only for a second but it was long enough to burn my left arm off.
I impressed you, so it was worth it.

In a store a fight broke out right next to us.
A wild punch was headed your way.
I stepped in and took the punch for you.
I had a badly broken nose that is permanently crooked.
I impressed you, so it was worth it.

After dating for six months I asked you to marry me.
You were brutally honest in your answer.
“No, I can’t marry a man with no toenails, half a calf muscle, only one arm and that one is L shaped (even after surgery), a crooked nose and lives on disability because he can’t work.”
I responded calmly and rationally to you.
You Suck!

Impress Me Son

IMPRESS ME SON

Brevity is the span of life, it is so short ;
But linear is victory without any short-cut.

The world you see now is a battle field ;
Doggedness is the only mean to the yield.

A hand that sowingly itself deceives;
Cries in vain upon what it later receives.

Be not a leaner but self reliant;
Hunt not fly nor ant but kill the giant.

Remember,the whole world is yours;
Limitation is in nowhere but in us.

Impress me son now that I may   smile;
That I may be proud of you in Niger or Nile.

Behold, you are the last leg of my race;
Fail not son, in your hand is the ace.

Impress Me Iii,Setting Sail Philosophically

As the day transforms to night,
My future expands, and I see light.
With determination, and refusal of fail,
I feel the wind, and now I've set sail.
The air so fresh and easy to breathe,
No stress or anxiety, I feel so freed.
Using every single mistake I have made,
As a stepping stone, on the path I have laid.
I now see my trail as I carry on,
Head held high, I'm proud, I'm strong.

Impress Me

Impress me

So impress me,

tell me something new,

not the fairy tail I all ready know,

I am the one,

you need to impress now

so tell me the story

tell me the truth,

tell me something new,

that you even didn't know,

So,impress me

I am open to you're heart.

And will listen the tone of you're voice

will let you in my heart.

So impress me with something completely new,
out of the blue.
