Set your sights high
Follow what your heart desires
There’s nothing you can’t do

With your deepest breath
Take in the universe
There’s nothing you can’t do

Dream your dream in vivid colors
Make it all come true
There’s nothing you can’t do

Live the life your soul desires
There’s nothing you can’t do
There’s nothing you can’t do

Premium Member What Is Stopping You

What is holding you back?
What is stopping you?
What is making you uncomfortable
about asking?
about wanting?
about dreaming?
about wishing?
about expecting?
about planning?
about setting new goals?
about learning new things?
about figuring out other ways?
about being your most excited self?
about opening yourself up to new opportunities?
New possibilities? New people? New places? A new job?
Or is it a who?

Premium Member Seeking love, my new year goal, POTD

With self-imposed seclusion,
I am wandering like a lonesome person,
My heart wants to discover a loving feeling,
Which will make me forget my woes.

Love does not only mean a love for a lover,
Love is divine, it descends from heaven,
With such a love, you feel cozy and happy,
You will never be in fear, never be depressed.

Next comes the love from family and friends,
It is a strong bondage which unites us all,
It does not cost any money,
Just show your love and affection by honorable deeds and thoughts.

Last comes the love from a lover,
A feeling which calms our fears and keeps us united,
True love does not care for money or showy glitter,
In love, you live and die together.

                          California Dreaming

                               5/9/2025

Her memories like the softest, velvet clouds, gliding swiftly, were being
Dried from their moistness.

How grateful she was to follow.her dreams to California, freed from their
cold, and most unhelpul voices.

It took her some time to let go of old friends and warm, familiar faces,
And she knew it was her soul’s relentless, choices.

On the airplane, tears fell as the plane ascended, and she realized, heading
into the sunset, the strength of her own inner voices.

String Bikini Goal

Last winter's resolution gone by spring
So I never did the bikini thing

  The same five pounds
  Still hanging around

I sigh and stare at that suit made of string

Perhaps I should take a different approach
By hiring a personal trainer coach

  Jillian Michaels
  Exercise cycle

And perhaps just a dash of self reproach

I'll cram my flab into that swimsuit now
To wear it all winter I will avow

  Though it causes pain
  I'll struggle again

But by June I'll still look like a sea cow

Premium Member My Dreamiest Dream Job

Here is my dreamiest, dream job.
I will get to drive a fire truck and use the sirens - all the way to work and back. The gasoline will be paid for by my company.

There will be no committees, and no paperwork. No one will be required to do anything they do not want to do.

Everyone will be the boss of themselves. We will get to design our own luxurious offices. We decide what our work is.

The woman next to me is designing houses for people who do not have them. I am running a creative writing center slash art studio for pre-teens and full teenagers.

The woman who envisioned this company pays us what we decide we are worth. My best friend spends her day in an enormous greenhouse creating hybrids.

We eat a family style lunch and brainstorm our terrific ideas with each other. There is a lot of laughter, the walls exude joy. We want to stay late.

We have a hot tub, a swimming pool, daycare center, school, and arcade on the premises. The school is manned day and night, even weekends, so our children can go to school and learn geometry or psychiatry, or zoology at any age. All they have to do is talk to the teacher. They can go to school on Saturdays and all night! They love school because the curriculum is designed around their interests.

We can play whenever we want to play, swim whenever we want to swim, design whatever we want to design. Supplies are unlimited. Paper, pencils, coffee, fruit snacks, lunches, and suppers, are all free.

We design our day the way we feel it should go. My perfect career makes me feel respected, and is fulfilling in so many ways. My friends are here, and we help each other so often, they are my family; I am part of theirs also. We each have an apartment if we want to live here. It is soundproof so we can sleep at any time. Naps are encouraged. The perfect workplace. The only time we leave is to worship, because it is strongly encouraged to get away for one day and worship the deity and religion or non-religion of our choice.

Premium Member Setting the Goal of Tolerance

"Instead of expressing exasperation, think toleration."
                                                                    ~ by poet

I find that I've become impatient with people who seem dense
and it only serves to frustrate me with an ire too often intense.
Sometimes, under my breath, I hear the words I'm mumbling,
"Why can't you understand this?" Then, I realize I'm grumbling.
I'm just a lowly human without a trace of Divinity to be found
so, I should be more humble, for I've not been royally crowned.

"Be tolerant," my heart whispers to my soul, as if it could hear.
"And be mindful," it said to my tongue, "words can bring tears."
I really should listen with more compassion and less askance.
I've no right to judge others. I don't know their life's circumstance.
Swallowing harsh words is a taste I should learn to find sweet
and conquer the bitterness of retorts... intolerance then I'd defeat.

People are not chess pawns that I can push around on a board,
and leniency should be allowed them across every stream I ford.
I don't control who walks the bridge with opinions of their own.
It's their right to have them, even if they're ones I don't condone.
I'll pursue being more tolerant of others and give them respect
and be sincerely diligent about this as a goal I should not neglect.

Premium Member - New Years Goal -

       New year, new goal.
       Laughter,
       a goal that provides
       many benefits.
       A wellness challenge.

       It makes the brain
       swim in dopamine.
       Is mood-lifting
       and removes stress.
       Increases metabolism,
       and burns my calorie consumption
                                   (I love chocolate)
       Stronger abdominal muscles
       and a well-shaped butt
       The face becomes softer
       - highlights the glow in the skin
       All this without plastic surgery
       - Goal's outcome
                               - a win-win situation.

Premium Member Peace - the Noblest Goal To Work For

Peace is not just the absence of war
Peace is the noblest goal to work for

Peace between mother and father, sister and brother
Peace between friends and strangers, and all the others

                 ***********
Consider Aaron, the High Priest of Old
Who brought enemies together, so bold

To love peace, to pursue it, was Aaron's creed
Love of his fellow man, his greatest deed

He was Moses' older brother, yet humble, down-to-earth
His burning quest for peace the measure of his worth

               *************
Peace needs step aside for Truth, some say
I say, True Peace ~ for Truth lights the way

Pain Vs My Goal

Lord grant me the power to achieve my goal in life
To have pain and turn it into something good
I have pain of being raped
It was such a shock that this was happening to me in such rage of these people
I never thought it would happen to me
I had heard about millions of people getting hurt like me
All these people who hurt little ones or anybody really should burn
Where as us all should be set free
Ones that have tried to confront these people, just turned out to be ignored
I stand where I had prove of this horrible happening
I confront these two people
I was investigated by this whole thing
I pray that I put these two people away
Even though I had confront them I guess I was chosen to have depression
The main thing is whatever happens
The lord is here to guide me, but not just me, all of you, the whole world!
These two people was put in prison for a long period of time
What they did was a crime
I know the Lord wants me to forgive them
It will take time but someday I will
I say to all of you,
If this ever happens to you, have faith and turn to God!
I now am in college and trying to get a job
Working on my poetry
That helps me through my depression and writing my poetry, that is one way to
speak to God
My goal in life is to believe in God, and keep my faith in him

Premium Member Honey For the Soul

Honey for The Soul

True love is a magnificent gift
From God in Heaven above.

Beginning as a flame
Ageing into a roaring fire.

What words can’t describe
All eyes see.

Love of an experienced couple
Displayed for young to learn.

A simple touch or an open door,
Perhaps it is a nod or a wink.

The daily struggles shared as an adventure
Each new day another blessing from above.

The fuel for love is in the Word
They share it every day as honey for the soul.

Falling asleep at night praying to the one true God
Praise to God is first, then thanksgiving.

At the end are the requests for God’s love,
His guidance and forgiveness for people like me.

When the flesh has long been gone,
Their spirits will bow together before the Almighty’s throne.

That’s the goal they cherished for decades,
Leading to a reward for eternity.

Thanks to all who pray for me.
That is the true love I see.

Goal Reached ~One Thousand Poems

Dropping by with a bottle of champagne.
Hoping you don't mind if I come in from the rain?

Wanted to thank my small, but grand group of followers.
I give each of you a bouquet of gorgeous, fragrant flowers.

I wanted to reach the goal of 1000 poems tonight.
And, I tell you doing that was both murder and delight

I realized, too, my poetry is never one-liners.
I won't apolize, here, just think a little longer is finer!

And also, three cheers to PS Administration
They do a great job~without them, how could we
communicate in such poetic perfection?

Remember the day you first came here?
So, do have some bubbly and to all, three Grand Cheers!

With love and respect

“With patience and perseverance
We can win the hardiest race.”- By author
**************************************************************

                                     Patience and Perseverance

On the journey of life when we embark
                              Let patience allied with perseverance
Be the lighthouse, our path to lit with spark
                           And permeate our spirit with endurance;

When wilful whirling winds waft down our soul
Let us not yield to dark clouds of despair
But forge ahead steadfast towards our goal
                            Without a single shaggy seam of scare;

Let`s not try the hilltop at once to clinch
As we may tumble down a dizzy slope
But, move forward step by step, inch by inch
                           With patience and perseverance to cope;

With patience we earn the Lord`s divine grace,
With perseverance we win the tough race.
