What Is Stopping You

What is holding you back? What is stopping you? What is making you uncomfortable about asking? about wanting? about dreaming? about wishing? about expecting? about planning? about setting new goals? about learning new things? about figuring out other ways? about being your most excited self? about opening yourself up to new opportunities? New possibilities? New people? New places? A new job? Or is it a who?

I really like the way you set this up. In addition to being funny, the concluding line generates deep thought. Nicely, nicely done, Caren. Hugs, Paul

Caren, I love a good poem with profound philosophical questions. There's a ray of hope and encouragement to act in there too. -Richard

This was written so well, Caren, what you say and how you say it always has an impact. Really liked this and especially the "or is it a who"!

Thank you Sandra; I always KNOW it is me, but am reluctant oftentimes to ADMIT it.

Discouraging people, it used to be; then bosses; I finally learned to claim my rightful place in this world and jumped right in...over all of them..."I got'ta be me!" Everybody...go for it!

M.L., lead the charge. Make the banner. Sound the trumpets. I will be right behind you. We will wake them up and shake them up and make them be themselves in spite of themselves.

Thank you Line. I was under the "tree" so to speak when I wrote it. Running out of time, and having to dash something down hard and fast. Sometimes these are my best ones.
