I Am Embarrassed To Write a Poem

Anyone would wish that they were immune to being embarrassed
You put your name behind something people might read, and hell,
there is no way, you have any right to even attempt to write down a poem.
That's not even you. Nothing is.
But you do it anyway. It has nothing to do with drawing attention. I think it is the exact opposite, I have all my life struggled to draw attention away from myself, and it has been easy to do so. I like that comfort zone. I love it.
Immensely. Words could never describe how much so.
Peace!

Embarrassed Sun

Alone I wander the sand
In my seclusion I feel brave
A thought comes over me
To strip for the sky above
The breeze gently catching
As I lay the towel before me
I offer my skin to the sky
Interesting book in hand
Suddenly feeling the heat
Up I rose to the shade
In its bright warm glory
My voluptuous cheeks
Burnt by an embarrassed sun

Never Was I So Embarrassed

Today, even after ages, I feel my cheeks grow hot
Thinking of the blunder I made, comes back to thought!

Freshly out of school, silly and ignorant that I was,
Of work site I knew nothing, but was daring even with flaws.

On my first day, out to impress and win confidence
I set to work to every demand, to show off my competence.

I knew not anything of hierarchy, rules and regulations
For I was in living, for my age, in total abstractions.

Thus, boldly I asked my boss to help me carry my files,
As of him I knew nothing, and I gave him my sweetest smiles.

He stood shocked then abide, gallantly lifting the load
And carried it to my table, then surprisingly to me he bowed.

By lunch time, talking to girls, I realized my blunder
and in the corridor I crossed him, my emotions asunder.

“Anything for you Ma’am” he whispered to my ears, passing by.
Heart pounding, I stood dumb, never had I felt so shy.

Then like a hunted animal, I run as if for life.
To the washroom I hid, to escape his laughter with mockery rife!

Embarrassed

It hits me like a wave, churning deep within my gut.
Holding my breath as the situation sinks in.
(Climbing a stairway to heaven)
People staring, eyes peering, thinking of a way to get out
(drifting up in a cloud of smoke)
Pale face reddens as heartbeat quickens
(Flying away on invisible wings)
Running, fleeing, where can I go?
(End of the rainbow)
Dirt swallows me up, blanking my mind
(Calm, peaceful, no more worries)
Frozen in awkwardness, palm to my forehead
Stuck in reality.

Falsely Accused

"pardon me can I speak to you in private?
my body is functioning the way it was meant to,
can you excuse me so no one laughs?"
It's one of the things every girl goes through.

We walk quickly, careful of each step
One wrong move and everyone might know
That you are a normal human being.
We shouldn't be ashamed that our bodies flow.

God forbid a woman speaks in public
of how she's on her period. Again
Ew that word - "PERIOD" - makes everyone uncomfortable
Words spoken only by boys and men.

Female bodies bleed and our insides churn
It's what they're meant to do
STOP staring when a girl speaks too loud
It's not a crime but we have to feel like that's not true.

We feel embarrassed to exist at all when
On our days of the days of the month, we
Feel excluded and beat down for perfectly fitting in
We are trained on certain days female is the worst thing to be.

Embarrassed - Not Me

Before I had my surgery
My body I kept private
Now I speak of it quite candidly
And graphically describe it
I think maybe the hospital
Puts something in their air
That kills all inhibitions
And causes one to share
And like a brand new mother
Who just had had her baby
I’ll share things with another
That you shouldn’t tell a lady
I’ll let you in on secretes
On how my body works
I’ll describe the side effects
And tell if there are perks
I’ll make you cringe or grimace
I’ll embarrass you as well
In my current situation
There ain’t nothing I won’t tell
Don’t know if I’ll continue
Don’t know when this will end
Till then just please bare with me
Or if nothing else - pretend

Backyard Betrayal

Mr. and Mrs. McLude
Laid out each day in the nude
A drone hovered by
“I’m cold!” the man cried.
Embarrassed, his wife yelled, “How rude!”

Premium Member discombobulation

standing up in a class of fifty,
offering her answers, quite gently,
will the professor think she’s nifty,
or will he think of her differently,
she blushes, though she isn’t shifty,
discombobulation, incidentally,
answering, she mumbles – befuddled,
oh, no, her answers are muddled!

Walking home from class, gusts blow.
She feels her dress rise off her form,
Baring her rear, all red – she does glow,
Embarrassed as can be by the storm,
She hopes no one will see this show –
Oh, her cheeks do feel moderately warm,
Will anyone notice her mortification?
Her naked bottom brings quite a sensation.

when she reaches her destination, she finds,
not only was her bottom seen, but snapped,
by a sneaky camera, who always reminds –
those awkward moments, when unwrapped,
prompt the owner to turn shades of red in all kinds,
marking these days where there’s laughter to be kept,
so, at least, her embarrassment is a reflection,
often found in some comedian’s photo collection!

Premium Member I'M Not Embarrassed- -

one day I was caught
talking to the Lord my God
was speaking out loud

talking to my God
praying to my Lord always
I'm not embarrassed

embarrassed to say
Hallelujah, thank you Lord
I'm not embarrassed

to praise your holy ...
praise your Holy, Holy name
I'm not embarrassed

Embarrassed

EMBARRASSED
Our limit of endurance
Doesn't always show appearance
Sometimes our often ignorance
Doesn't give us reassurance

So it surely is apparent
That we may be incoherent
When we know our way is errant
And we are much too transparent

We end up in a cluster
At the smallest we can muster
Or we begin to bluster
About our losing luster

Premium Member Who Are the Embarrassed Ones

We had a special spark inside
Liquid fire spurs our souls
A moment of pure passion
Deep under the silver moonlight
We cover all the basis of mush
A whole grouping of love
In every part of ourselves
We seductively brought together
All moments of sexuality
Until it is known we are not alone
And we see the gathering here
Curiosity maybe at our lust
And full passion we did display
Now who are the embarrassed ones
For they don’t tarry when the lights are on

Premium Member Embarrassed and Shamed

I have said with pride all my life,
   "I am an American!"
We will always be on your side.

   Embarressment and shame,
   Fill me every day.
Murder and hate crimes increase with no release in sight.

   Failing abysmally with our help.
To people here in our communities,
   The country, and the world.

   Now we grovel in fear,
For what the next day will bring.
Or any loses to those we hold dear.

   I am embarrassed and ashamed,
   Of the America we became.

   Hold little hope,
   For any relief.
   For what we have become,
As a country, we continue to be undone.

Premium Member These Tears I Cry I Am Embarrassed To Say I Am Crying- -

So hurting I'm crying
Sometime the heart cries
I'm crying
And your mind wanders why
A variance of compassionate measures
Disappropriate it masterful pleasures

Embarrassed to say
I'm crying
Covered by dismay
Wonders you wonder
Bombarded by your blunders

I'm crying
Those choices that's help me you made
My heart heartbeats it's spies
Amidst to the brain waves

Oceans triumphant
Gorgeous and raising valleys embracing cover
Wanders you wonder
Covered by dismay
These tears I cry I'm embarrassed to say
I'm crying
