Letter To a Young Rapper

Look, anyone can stick two words together and rhyme,
But you gotta have rhythm and you gotta have time,
And you gotta have the guts to put it all on the line,
And stand up to whole world though it might make you blind

You gotta bleed out your heart, you gotta pour out your soul,
You gotta speak with every single syllable that you know,
And there’s moments you’ll think that you’re apart from the rest,
Still trying and dying, giving it all of your best,

Until you’re out-hustled, out-muscled, and you’re up to your neck,
Until you’re thinking you should stop and maybe give it a rest,
But don’t give up yet, no this is only a test
To dig deep inside and until you out-rhyme the best

You gotta write ‘til you’re sick, you gotta write like He wills it,
Gotta take all of your anger to paper and spill it,
You gotta gather your emotion like and ocean and let it go,
There’s no stopping your hustle and there’s no stopping your flow

So get out there and show all of the people that dissed you,
And remind them of the time that they’re all gonna miss you,
When you’re up flying high and looking down to see
All the haters wishing that they were you but can’t be

So you gotta keep on going, holding onto this thing,
And don’t you dare let go no matter how hard it seems,
Just set it up in your mind and you can do anything,
Because it's all in your heart, boy, now just follow your dream.

I Forgot How To Rhyme

I've forgot how to rhyme right
Lack of inspiration keeping me up for five nights
Writing rhymes to keep my mind tight
I'd rather be truthful than a coward who hides behind lies
An average poet, but you might find
a few lines that are designed nice
I need my heart to break in order to write when my mind dies
Yesterday I was sitting around missing her, now I'm over her, time flies
Being a poet is like being an addict because after every poem, I say I should just do one more line, guys
That line should be in an episode of Lil Wayne rhymes like
Making fun of celebrities for no reason, I'm shameless
I need a hot girlfriend so We can get rich the same way Kim Kardashian got famous
I'm just having a little fun, please don't take it too serious
But people get offended by everything these days in my experience
No disrespect to the Kardashians but I don't wish to keep up with their nonsense
I was a fan of a rapper until he said he's flyer than an Ostrich
Everyone is "Flyer" than something that doesn't fly
Or maybe I'm not smart enough to understand a rhyme so complex
There needs to be a "Worst rap line of all time" contest
Got told I'd be dead by 21, but I made it to the future and I'm not talking about the mask off guy
That line was predictable but don't mind it
I'm writing in Big Pun's rhyme book with Eminem's pen so there isn't a word I can't rhyme with
You may not agree with the form that I write
But writing was all I had when i was standing alone in the storm of the night
the white Mike Tyson, I was born for the fight
Maybe I should have a little more decency
They'll say I only dissed the Kardashians because they won't sleep with me
I went to write something nice but my pens crazy
Bipolar and inspired by Slim Shady
I've got a beer belly, but I don't think Dwayne Johnson has been to the gym lately
I don't know why I said that, this is the worst poem I ever wrote
But I just managed to write a poem without talking about depression, well almost
I'm inside of Jason Voorhees Hockey mask and out of my mind
But now my writers block has gone and I've remembered how to rhyme

Yeah Right

I loved you
I hate you

The picture and Sees candy I gave you for Christmas
Me there you smiled and accepted with gratitude
Me not around, she put her two cents in,
You got on stage and dissed it

It had been a wonderful night
I pick up the phone
We intended to meet for dinner
Quickly found out you did a shitty job of picking a winner
You tell me your girl doesn't want me in your home
I'm your daughter, your princess, not a bar fly
Jealousy is such a wicked and ugly color
The darkest sound and tone
Finding out your father has a wobbly backbone

Your girl yelled at me on the phone,
Accused me of names,
Cast me from her Casa of Eden
You see two cats fighting
For you it's a stroke to the ego, makes you more vein.

Asked you to therapy,
Man...that was deep
Yeah right! Got no where with you
Felt like one person trying to know down the Berlin wall
What are you a deer in the headlights?
If I can admit wrong so should you
It's not all on me as you would want me to believe is true

Thought this is a challenge in life you gotta play out
One day I opened my eye,
Staring at the ceiling I realized
I'd gone to buy a card for you,
All the loving writes
Nothing related to you baby
Something was wrong

You were wrong for treating me bad
I was wrong for accepting
No more..no more
Hit the road dad..and dont you come back no more

Transient Troubadour Traverses Terrestrial Terrain

'Course as a grim teller of tall tales,
(albeit poetic) reasonable rhyming
quasi roundelay I readily admitted to feign
cuz, stringing words together with
pride and prejudice plus
sense and sensibility, jocularity,
and conformity I dissed deign
(spoiler alert) iamb, trochaic,

dactylic, and anapestic metrical reign
jest your ordinary garden variety
dollar short day late dime a dozen
penniless citizen banker Abel and Cain,
yet mine mean mien blithely, daringly,
fatuously, ludicrously, nauseatingly,
pretentiously playfully urbane

many (if not all readers)
will coon sitter
yours truly harmlessly insane,
whose feeble attempts
to wax and wane
oft times falls flat (splat goes Matt)
as if dropped out plane,
without a parachute

instantly recuperating while lain
supine (winded, but...
none the worse) asthma brain
suffers concussion, confusion, contusion
actually, immediately, and unexpectedly
knocked fluent German speaking ability
within germane guy verständlich?

If ye really comprehend
trademark non Turkish gobbledygook
then explain (using
language of least familiarity),
but best to commence
with eye catching hook
impossible mission
apt lit pupils (mine)

to evade even momentarily
riveting, spellbinding,
and transfixing look
courtesy ingenious way
with word ye snook
cored me and took
wind out my sails.

Nor could I breakaway courtesy automobile,
cuz 2009 Hyundai Sonata
would not start... yea for real,
thus finding me ready to yoke
neck (think gibbet) each heel

dangling as body goes limp
blessedly, finally, happily
ridding me of any/all hangups,
one less goo goo gaga born this way
poker face cards for him to deal.

“butter flies and marshes mellow”, that’s what he said to me.
did i look shocked — you bet, but i did him one better.

“mine craft and more bid yeller,” I smirked,
and he said, “wazzthatsposedtomean?”

as if he was drunk, he slurred all his vegetables to gather,
and i told him so — i true Lee did!

“chalk a lot?” he asked, and i quibbled, “black board.”
He threw his fist, dissed joined, “yor a wader.”

“am not!”
“are so!”

“fire flies and pepper mints,” the subject changes.
“side ways and rattled snakes,” i grin.

Our friend ship sails with checkers and back bone.
I say a final dead line, “butter’d milk and fired crackers,”

we hear the good humor’d truck.
we buy iced dreams and coco co la,
as the city strolls by, way too serious.

and we both shout,
“ham or head?
“Shark!”

Premium Member She Has a Thing for Cats

My neighbor lady, Treena, has a 'thing' for cats
Says they keep her home free of mice and rats
She pets their heads and their butts, she pats
when some of the snippy felines get into spats

She shares her loveseat with all her furry friends
On tasty cat food, a huge amount she spends
Three smelly kitty litter boxes often offends
the noses of her suitors, her visiting boyfriends

Treena took some offense at a certain politician
who has dissed cat ladies in his own admission
She won't vote for him in vice president position
and signed it "Cat Ladies Against Vance' petition

So, there she sits with blue clogs upon her feet
Content with saying, "My life feels so complete."
When the cats all meow, begging her for a treat
She gives them a pinch of catnip instead of meat

Her home is filled with lots of scratching posts
and there's not one cat that she loves the most
If they could speak of Treena, they would boast,
about their kind human and drink to her a toast

Governor Brewer From Arizona

Governor Brewer From Arizona
(song parody based on “Girl From Impanema”)

Short, tanned, governor of A-Z
Wagged finger at the commander-and-chief
That was so tasteless
And very racist
So odd!

Brewer dissed Barack Obama
And said Obama was threatening
Guards should have grabbed her
And teach her manners
By far!

Oh – is he really so thin-skinned?
Oh – don’t she know he’s a gangster?
He – killed Bin Laden with SEAL teams

Then he rescued folks from Somalis
He likes guns and diplomacy

Short, tanned, governor of A-Z
Racial profiling is so ungodly
Tell me what happens
In time
To economies
And brown folks don’t leech
And brown folks don’t leech

You Missed My Call

A story with a twist, so sit down so you won't miss this!

Now I'm sitting at home, and dam I'm all alone, wishing this man of mine would just pick up his freaking phone!

I feel the need to have him here, to have his body near. Why is he not answering? Is it because he doing dirt, addressing someone else's matters?

I have called him once! I have called him twice!

The next time won't be so nice.

I just might forget that I loved and missed him in the first place, causing me to feel like I'm having to waste, waste my valuable time on a man of this kind.

See he's making it hard for the next man.

I hate to see the next soul coming after him.

And If you sitting out there thinking about yourself at a chance with me, don't think then you wouldn't be exempt.

Now more time has passed, and yet he hasn't accepted these calls.

Must a sister go ballistic and go make this man another statistic?

Maybe, I need to jump up already pass pissed enough, go outside, jump in my ride, pick up my friend, then go visit this man.

Now, I'm driving to his house, so lowkey, quiet as a church mouse.

Knock hard on his door, and watch his heart hit the floor, because now I'm super pissed because he's been missed, left me feeling dissed.

He opens the door, falls to his knees begging me, please.

Please for what I ask? I sometimes feel as if you are wearing a mask.

Sometimes I don't know who you are, but you are showing thus far that you can't be trusted, and why are you acting like you just got busted?

What's that sound I heard echoing around?

Now I'm walking toward my man's bedroom door, and as I kick in the door. I saw boyfriend Joe, hit his bedroom floor!

Thumbing the Nose

The goal of a poem: its intrinsic I.D.
is grab folk: to show them; to imbue imagery –
to say something profound and to then sculpt the words
into a form that’s sound and is pleasantly heard.

Note that augmentation, achieved by devices
Like alliteration should not pose a crisis
But should more go with flow: more embrace than a grope;
Less stagnation than growth … to surprise Alex Pope.

So “caesura”, don’t cease: use sensuous metre.
With reined rhythmic release; caress – don’t just beat her.
Steal past each armoured guard: have Words blithe crash each scene;
refute yon jaded bard who ‘dissed’ Alexandrine.

A Surviv---or

I know how it feels to be unwanted
ignored, made fun of and at times taunted
beat up, spit on, embarrassed and disgraced
abandoned betrayed and things thrown in my face
denied, discouraged, used, then abused
So before you say a word, think twice
'Cause I have nothing left to lose !

I've been disappointed, lied too
and falsely accused
Tattled on, rattled, 'till
I was made to feel blue
disrespected, disregarded
and plan old DISSED it true
and I promise never ever to
do these things to you

I've been jaded and spaded
and without reason hated
picked-on, laughed at
despised and denied
walked on, pushed around
held in sheer contempt
made to feel alone
most every where I've went

It wasn't at all easy, to suffer all this crap
each time they beat me down
some how I made it back
So, NEVER feel alone
don't let them get to you
and don't become like them
and act the way they do
just standup tall and strong
with a smile and with grace
and tell your friends and family

Who Is This

Who is this?
A lyricist who does not want to be dissed?
Parliament pissed
But I have said: “crunchy but crisp”
But this is one true lyricist.
Check me out and listen to this:

These are words of a man dormant too long
Listen to my awakening and hear me roar
‘Cause like volcano I spit pure lyrics that be my lava
Radiate pure heart that is my wisdom
Ruling the righteous kingdom
Ooh! Mental implosion, internal explosion
Making me to rumble for undivided attention
And mental stability
From now until eternity
Like the holy trinity

This is
A lyricist who does not want to be dissed?
Parliament passed
But I have said: “crunchy but crisp”
But this is a one true
Check me out and listen to this:

“Consciousness:
A combination of thoughts and feelings
Put together as a whole,” unquote.
These are words of a lyricist
Who is a venom-ist but a visual-ist
At hard, rock vividness
“With strength stronger than the devil”
That be venom
But kids I am not a rapper or an M.C.
But I am tight enough to say
If I were a rope around your neck I would be choking
But I am not joking
‘Cause I oversee like Mosses split the sea
As the M.C. battleground dissect itself from the toes up
That is why:

I am a lyricist
The one does not want to be dissed?
Parliament passed
But I have said: “crunchy but crisp”
‘Cause I am one true lyricist.

National Treasures No 1 Dame Judy Dench Inna Ragga Mc Stylee Innit

Dame Judy Dench
Loves to fish for Tench
When she fixes her motor
She uses a wrench
If she’s feeling tired she sits down on a bench,
DJD is polylingual;
Her favourite language is French,
When she has a pooh in the morning
It causes a stench
DJD is a strong woman,
When Germans talk about her they call her ‘mensch’,
If she gets excited
Her buttocks they clench
When DJD gets dehydrated
Her thirst she will quench,
She is a fine looking woman,
But never call her a wench,
DJD did military service
She learnt to dig a slit trench,
She's into prehistory
And loves to visit Stonehenge,
DJD don't take no -
If she is dissed she'll get her revenge
She is super organised
When she does her filing she uses a big hole punch
If she gets hungry mid morning
She pauses for brunch,
If Helen Mirren calls round they go out for lunch,
DJD is very intuitive
and likes to follow a hunch,
Her off shore investments
Protected her from the credit crunch,
She's a feisty lady -
A reporter asked if 'she had a carer'
Well he got a bunch
Of fives from this diva
But to her friends she is staunch,
Even Harvey Weinstein - DJD protected his paunch,
Said she had a tat of his name on her bum
Cos her career he relaunched
With Victoria and Albert -
She never gives an inch
If Bond is stuck in a ditch
She pulls him out with a winch,
She takes on all the bad guys,
You never see her flinch,
When delivering a soliloquy
She makes it look like a cinch
She should be world president,
Donald J Trump would be the first one she would lynch!

Premium Member Always Love Your Sister-

A brother’s love for his sister;
a brother's love ALWAYS protects you... a sister's love ALWAYS follows you
Must be in placed always;
It’s never tarnished, never blisters;
A brother must along with father;
ALWAYS…
Protect His,
Sister.
For God has loan her to him ( to you)
It’s a spiritual duty,
Cause sisters must keep;
Until she’s grown-up,
And a man sweeps her off her feet;
And always, always never let the sun go down;
Without saying I am SORRY;
Siblings together, spirit blood ties;
Loaned from God for a little while,
ALWAYS, ALWAYS.
Along with Father God, Mom and Or Dad...
Admonish, Protect and Love;
In sickness and fever blisters,
never ever dissed her,
she’s God daughter she-glisters,
Holy angels kissed her,
never shall you missed her,
Assist her, consider her feelings, never dismissed her,
Enlister,
Don't resist her,
be clear to her don’t be a tongue twister,
Do not hate her
Embrace her
never unsister,
Love ALWAYS YOUR SISTER
Siblings together, spirit blood ties
Loaned from God for a little brief while
ALWAYS, ALWAYS,
Along with Father God, Mom and Or Dad
Admonish, Protect and Love;
Until Jesus or her husband comes…
You her brother are 5th in line to protect her
For God has said she is your part
Both you and her share a heart
Never dislike nor hate your sibling
Always protect and love your sister
Don't resist her,
Do not hate her
ALWAYS Embrace her
never unsister,
Love ALWAYS, ALWAYS LOVE YOUR SISTER

Get Back Up

Assimilate your view
To match the status quo,
Consensus starts to skew
Hypocrisy on show,
Now you seem the clown
The eager willing pup,
It’s not the beating down
But how you get back up!

A friendship ill-advised
Treacherous and vain,
Before you realized
They’ve dissed you once again.
Smile into a frown
Superior or sup,
It’s not the beating down
But how you get back up!

Alcohol and drugs
Became your sanctuary,
Psychogenic thugs
Cleaving reality,
Out upon the town
Common sense you swop,
It’s not the beating down
But how you get back up!

Tattooed to the hilt
Judgement, every eye,
Predetermined guilt
Archaic in their lie,
Blackened, gray and brown
Squeezing ink to cup,
It’s not the beating down
But how you get back up!
