These trembling lips cannot bear to remain mute
when their quivering begins in my deepest root
Surf upon the wave's crest of a stimulating ride,
Enter my secluded orchard upon a flowing tide
Saunter into my arbor and taste my honeyed fruit
Allow each nibble to entice with unbridled pursuit
Warm yourself in the sun as we sensually collide
Ripen with me until temptation is languidly descried
Inhale the fragrance of my skin on fleshly curves
Embrace the throbbing titillation of tingling nerves
Unshackle your heart, and have it not be denied
Caress every part of me as your fingertips glide
Hold my blossoms as they call to your heartstrings
Drink deeply of my nectar; flit your pinioned wings
Pluck me for your pleasure, with hands that shake
I await your touch; to relieve my heart of its ache
"How Do I Love Thee"
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of being and ideal grace.
I love thee to the level of every day’s
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for right.
I love thee purely, as they turn from praise.
I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood’s faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints. I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life; and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.

"How Do I Need Thee" - Sequel
How do I need thee? Let me count the ways.
I need thee beneath the safe harbor tides.
Your ebb flow reaches my peak as I cry.
Continuum leaves need soil within,
The breadth of life needs to live, not rescind.
I need thee in silence as quiet hides.
I need thee in death, I wither in life.
I need thee without seen regret, infringed.
Allowing rising east skies, sun sets west.
I need thee to bathe, vessels deep inside,
Within opposition, entwined, bequest.
Perceived with love, continued while descried.
Songs in tune, sweet man, us dancing abreast,
I need thee til' death, together astride.

A dedication by Joe:
In one minute of expression!
In the hour of an age;
I saw the fruit of inspiration
A largesse from heaven’s mage.
So I reached out to its fire
My heart big as blue sky
Just a soul tugged by awareness;
such elucidation I’d descried.
These words could melt in my essence!
The very being of my breath….
I sensed delight could dance between us
true life rejoice o’er mortal death.

The Maverick
Dedication by Michelle:
Within silent chambers of darkened grottos
wandered displaced, my weary muse.
Until he jumped forth from a page of notion
this steadfast man of no recues.
Blue flames did stoke declining embers,
he gave the spark to matchstick thought.
Within a fiery blaze of blessed insight
his verse and rhyme my spirit caught.
.
Idle minds can’t spin on moving axis
though cognitive fire will sing and dance
Guided by captivating poetic precinct
I affably admire his erudite stance.

Crepuscle beamed, descried at the telluric cyan orb
Dusk devoured auric daystar as lambency was absorbed
Sun's verve, twinkle immersed by the lil' murk
Permeate the newfangled burst of wavering lights in the skylark
Stupefied by the wondrous jaw-dropping milieu
Quadrilateral lunar satellite came into being ... it's true
Moonlight in turquoise, then cerulean radiance come forth
Sometimes vermilion, xanthous, amethyst in hue, real ravishing in worth
Nightfall turned into a deluxe, grandiose discotheque
Music of pyrotechnics, symphonized in grotesque
Four-sided night star trip the light fantastic
Made every cyclicity, rhythm, syncopation exotic
What a comely, ecstatic, striking, mind-glued augury
A tour in the out of this world planet, where there's no existing adversary
I am the sculptor, architect and painter of my own exquisite sunset
Twilight's ikon in my mind still in set
Written in words, penned with the mind's eye
Done through the " LIMITLESS " dye.

I spied a ship and descried the flag it flew.
It was nothing like the flags I had seen before.
It was red and blue, with white circles and yellow stars
The highlights of white and yellow stood out
like stars at night, and town lights bright.
The red like the color of the dawn and dusk.
The blue the color of the deep blue ocean.
It was clearly the flag of a sea faring nation.
As the ship got closer, you could clearly see its details.
It was a large primitive Polynesian outrigger voyager vessel,
a ghost ship as no one appeared to be aboard.
Where it had come from, the fate of its crew a mystery?
But the vessel sure knew how to sail
and knew where it was headed
as it sailed fast and free,
passed our sailing boat 'Snail'
on a true heading for a spot on the horizon.
For many years the Polynesian voyagers were decried as flotsam and jetsom.
How could these primitive people navigate through the vast open ocean
between tiny islands, pin-prick dotted in oceans of space?
It was assumed they migrated and populated the far flung oceans randomly and haphazardly
via their fishing trips and day trips being blown off course.
But research has descried their skill and fabulous knowledge of navigation.
Each island has a gild of navigators.
They use songs and stories to memorize navigation methods:
including the movement of the stars, wave patterns around island,
local currents, clouds, weather and bird behavior.
Polynesian navigators used the rise and setting of particular set stars on the horizon to set a heading.
They had wooden instruments, string and fiber maps of wave patterns and star movements to guide their way.
They skillfully know when they were near tiny islands
from the change in the wave patterns, currents
and their vast knowledge of birds and wildlife.
So don't be quick to decry Polynesian navigation.
Instead, descry its beauty, simplicity, nouse, proficiency and elegance.
The singer sang from beyond the grave,*
Or in his grave, to be true.
His voice reached up to the architrave
And vibrated in every pew.
The vicar called on the choir to sing
As loud as loud they could.
But the voice had an even louder ring
Sending quivers down the rood.
Oh Lord, they sang, oh mighty God,
Gloria in excelsis deo.
But the singer sang of life’s hard rod
And of Hell's undying blow.
The women looked up the pillars tall,
While big-eyed children cried.
The singer had them in his thrall,
But was not to be descried.
The vicar read his sermon out,
As if proclaiming from the mount.
The singer responded with a voice so stout,
He sang of fear’s rich fount.
The congregation lost relation
To the good man’s godly word.
They stood in helpless trepidation,
Their souls so far disturbed.
The church’s doors swung open wide,
To a cascade of chattering leaves;
The screams and panic and terror inside
Shook the church to its very eaves.
And then, oh then, oh horror pure,
The spectre appeared at the door.
His bloodied hair, his sombre allure,
Chilled the living to the core.
The vicar clutched up bible and ran
Through a hidden door to the side,
The singer opened his cloak like a fan
And wrapped all the children inside.
The women bemoaned this cruellest loss,
They wailed to the crucified Christ.
But bound and weak and nailed as he was,
There was nothing he could do.

Then Thisbe stole forth as agreed upon
Unobserved her head covered with a veil
Out of city’s bounds edifice well known
Waited for Pyramus near a fountain trail.
In the dim light she descried a lioness
Nearing the fountain with blood reeking jaws
With a recent slaughter to slake her thirst.
She fled dropping her veil out of fright.
After quenching thirst turned back for her cove
Renting the veil in bloody mouth on her retreat
But Venus won’t always befriend true love.
Having delayed Pyramus arrived there
Saw footsteps of the lioness in the sand
And found the veil all bloody over there
Crying picked up the rent veil in his hand.
Thought himself to be the cause of her death
Covering the veil with kiss and with tear
And said, come ye lioness tear with your teeth
Let my blood also shall stain your texture.
He plunged sword into his heart with a shove
Blood spurted tinging the tree with red color
But Venus won’t always befriend true love.
Thisbe stepped out not to disappoint him
She noticed the change in the tree’s color
In the agonies of death she saw him.
A shudder ran as ripple in still water.
She saw her veil and his scabbard empty.
He has slain himself for her sake only.
She said, “I could be brave and follow thee
Death alone couldn’t prevent my joining thee
Love and death join us, one tomb be our grove”
She plunged the sword in her breast near the tree
But Venus won’t always befriend true love.

Such tale of the self-less love presented
The two bodies in one tomb were buried
Pyramus-Thisbe tale our hearts do move
Berries serve memorials of their blood
But Venus won’t always befriend true love.

when she came to us
She spoke very less
Unlike other maid
She was silent
Brows-up seems -
Filled with self respect
My mom tried many ways
To hear her
Atleast once a day
"In her past lives
She might be a princess" -
My mom guesstimate.
Slowly & Slowly as time flies
We heard her voice
Descried her lovely smiles.
She told my mom -
"her spouse left her alone
With one daughter & one son"
I know, it sounds painful
But believe me, very common in slums.
But...
She is an angel
An Angel for my home
An Angel for my mother
An Angel without wings
An Angel without feathers.
She was absent
From last three days
We were tensed
What might be happened?
Finally we came to know -
Heart-rending episode-
At one Black Night
She drank forcefully
By someone, unknown
She was found in the next noon
At the corner of road, laid down
Unconscious and undressed
Undoubtedly she was raped
But who cares?
Her family & neighbours are silent
As nothing happened
'cause it's not new there
Victim may change
But that Black Night
Repeats at very short interval
I know, it sounds painful
But believe me, very common in slum.
Today she came again
Started working in my home
Her smiles & voice vanished
In a box - closed & locked.
Brows-down & silent again
Seems - lost somewhere
In the forest of unshared pain.
Yet she came to help my mother
Now, I am damn sure
She has been sent from heaven
An Angel for my mumm
An Angel from the slum
From Heaven to live in the Hell
She is an Angel
An ANGEL from the HELL

Slowly he creeps,
I just wish his coming can be descried
And that I can fight him off.
He turns a joyfully atmosphere despondent,
Diabolic they is he,
Yes he is the despot.
He came knocking,
He forced his way into my abode
And my body gave way to my soul.
Alone he left me in the middle of the desert,
I shouted, I yelled, I bellowed
But my voice was swallowed by the silence,
The silence no one can shut.
Onwards I go
For there is no return.
Fortune I have had,
Respect and good looks;
How frivolous they look in the sight of my new world.
The church bell groaned,
Tears streamed from eyes of loved ones,
But I am gone.
Take courage lover,
I am gone but not forever
Perhaps I will meet the eternal bliss
And there I will wait for your coming.
Take courage lover,
You won't see me again but not forever,
Hope to meet you someday.
Long ago there was betold
a tale that many have descried,
of a creature, scaled and icy cold
havin' two black bulging eyes.
An impudent beast, brassy and bold,
bewitched because of foolish pride.
The myth tells she's often seen
withered, wrinkled and omg mean!
A bitter and ugly nasty ole fiend,
bellowing in screeches is her choice
in dead of night and midst of day.
Stench of breath from tooth decay.
Close your ears to that shrill voice.
Don't let your children out to play.
Don't get close or point your finger.
She'll bite, chew and claw at you,
so do not pause and do not linger.
With sharpened talons she scribbles
unintelligible things in bloody dribbles.
Heed this warning and you'll be spared
from the furious fire breathing dragon.
From in her cavern she once even dared
to scream in defiance at the morning sun,
yelling curses with her waggin' tongue.
Then she nestled in the back of her cave,
resting her head upon a pillow of dung.
A Parody of Sir Philip Sidney's Sonnet 31 from Astrophel and Stella
With wobbly steps, O Youth, thou climb'st the stairs!
How clumsily and with how red a face!
What! Dost thou trip and fall about the place
and pray thy folks sleep soundly, unawares?
Perhaps thy little brother who now sees
thee fall can be persuaded not to race
and broadcast to the house thy plunge from grace.
Thou could'st bribe him with money and say "PLEASE!"
Whil'st thou cling to the handrail, bleary-eyed,
now in thy shameful state, O Youth, pray tell
are friends thou partied with, like thee, unwell—
in fear, lest their condition be descried?
Those youth who guzzle beer in lieu of milk
will bring ignominy on all their ilk.

From my wheel chair facing their veranda
I could not distinguish the girl next door.
She looked somewhat like my niece, Miranda,
except for her hair halfway to the floor.
(Miranda always kept her hair shorter.)
I turned the music down so I could hear
the conversation that was taking place.
Although I consider myself a seer
who reads expressions on a person’s face,
I discerned the voice of a reporter -
well-known correspondent on radio.
She posed some questions, most of which I missed.
Once she turned her head towards me, just so
and I caught one, clearly getting her gist.
“Is your neighbor watching us from her deck?”
Taking the hint, I retreated inside,
unaware of how obvious I’d been.
It was then I saw what she had descried.
Eavesdropping had not caused her chagrin,
‘twas the field glasses hanging ‘round my neck.

The schooner sailed upon the sea
Creating whispered waves below
I stood close by the crimson bow
In stillness near the quiet dawn
with no distractions save for gulls
The fore and aft sails moved as kin
The sun awoke resplendently
Awaiting Neptune and his aides
And kissed the ocean with delight
An ocean’s shimmer with a light
A tremor stirred to my surprise
Distress entangled in my heart
A shape arose immense and huge
Leviathan monstrous in size
A monolith with dark blue hues
With seconds in its brief repose
Creating breakers as it dove
My heart retrieved its normal pulse
recording sights that I descried
A spectacle I’ll ne’er forget

I walked in the wilderness of winter
Across the wasteland of despair
Reached the sunshine shore of your heart
Lapped by the warm azure sea of fervor
Descried the alluring pearly waves of longing
Yearning to surf I waited for so long.
That was where I discovered the niche of love
Unveiled from the swathe of anonymity.
I followed the tantalizing silver track
Draped by mesmeric moonshine
Until the dreamy dawn blossomed
On the sunburst hued horizon
The golden rays glinted the opalescent dew
That shined in the meadow of your heart.
That was when I found the flower of love
Petals sparkling with shimmer sublime.
We walked together in the garden path
You made me feel the ardent adoration
Create timeless symphony of longing
Echoing as fervent music in my heart
The melody resonated in my essence
With the rhythm of lingering emotion.
That was why I felt the sense of love
Endure in the eternity with sanguinity.
Like an ebullient stream you cascaded
In the landscape of my beguiled time
Carried my dreams with the surge of lure
Through the valley of luxuriant liveliness
To lie fulfilled in the pristine bay of bliss
Under the radiant seamless sky of belonging.
That was how I perceived the spirit of love
Permeate the heart with adulating purity.

Bleeding on bed of thorns
I descried a cave of woe alluring
End of that happiness dwells .
Leaving the cave of body
life flees with the messenger of
death to her final home .
Seasons sleep in the cave
of time to reappear with the call
of the piper Earth .
