Angel Bones

Two Hundred fifteen angels (Narration by an elder)
each buried in a shallow grave
The monsters said the Angels were savages
that they were there to save

Each little heartbeat
cries up from the earth
“Come seek out our answers. (Narration by child)
please prove that we have worth”

“Those who survived us
have tried to be our voice.
Why have they been silenced?
Please listen it’s a choice.”

“Return us to our families,
so they can beat the drum.
Then our spirits will find peace,
in the place that we are from.”

“The world must know the truth,
the Government didn’t know best.
They fed us to pale monsters,
we were cursed instead of blessed.”

“Yes cruel pale faced monsters,
robed in uniforms of black.
Pretended to be Godly,
while perpetrating their attack.”

“Touching our little bodies,
telling us we were blind.
Deriving their cruel cruel pleasures,
monsters of a different kind.”

“The school was their playground,
these monsters had their way.
Each time we tried to speak,
there was a price to pay.”

(Drum beats)
thump thump, thump thump,
Thump thump, thump thump
Thump thump, thump thump
(Native elders singing)

The bones of our innocent Angels (Narration by Elder)
that they buried beneath the ground.
Their spirits speak in unison
Without emitting a single sound

Each little heartbeat
Cries up from the earth
“Come seek out our answers, (Narration by child)
please prove that we have worth.”

Tan Gentle Lines

She lies, tan gentle lines and curves so sharp
she pairs her heart horizontal to zero
Her body falling from great cusps above
Then deriving great pleasure from the angle
Skirting the limits, fleecing the boundaries
She breaks the surface of space
Then her shell is unfolding, unraveling
Wildly spinning out of control on her axis
The ground giving us no differential treatment
Then her inflections begin to fluctuate
Now she can’t ignore the signs anymore
For a symptom hopes a cure will appear
Strum soft sweet chords on wire lyre strings
A convergence we’ll hold, integrate, we’ll come
Together to throw arc shadows on walls

For some there always has to be an issue

A drama of some sort

Always looking for or creating a problem

To inject their voice and thoughts

Seeming to thrive on conflict

Inserting their need for power and control

Deriving pleasure from others discomfort

Relishing in other individuals anguish to feed their souls!

The Story of Adam and Eve In Holy Quran Part1

The First Man is Honoured

And God said, to the Angels:

“And (remember) when your Lord said to the angels: ‘I am going to create a human (Adam) from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud. So when I have fashioned him and breathed into him (his) soul created by Me, then you fall down prostrate to him.” (Quran 38:71-72)

God honoured the first human, Adam, in countless ways. Allah blew his soul into him, He fashioned him with His own hands and He ordered the Angels to bow down before him.

Eve is Hawwa in Arabic; it comes from the root word hay, meaning living. Eve is also an English variant of the old Hebrew word Havva, also deriving from hay. Adam informed the Angels that Eve was so named because she was made from a part of him and he, Adam, was a living being.

Both Jewish and Christian traditions also maintain that Eve was created from Adam’s rib, although in a literal translation of the Jewish tradition, rib is sometimes referred to as side.

“And God said: ‘O Mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person (Adam) and from Him (Adam) He created his wife (Eve), and from them both He created many men and women.’” (Quran 4:1)

The traditions of Prophet Muhammad relate that Eve was created while Adam was sleeping from his shortest left rib and that, after sometime, she was clothed with flesh. He (Prophet Muhammad) used the story of Eve’s creation from Adam’s rib as a basis for imploring people to be gentle and kind to women. “O Muslims! I advise you to be gentle with women, for they are created from a rib, and the most crooked portion of the rib is its upper part. If you try to straighten it, it will break, and if you leave it, it will remain crooked; so I urge you to take care of the women.” (Saheeh Al-Bukhari)

Dwelling in Paradise

Adam and Eve dwelt in tranquillity in Paradise. This, too, is agreed upon by Islamic, Christian and Jewish traditions. Islam tells us that all of Paradise was theirs to enjoy and God said to Adam, “eat both of you freely with pleasure and delight of things therein as wherever you will...” (Quran 2:35)

God continued his instructions to Adam and Eve by warning them “...come not near this tree or you both will be of the wrongdoers.” (Quran 2:35)

How I Developed Reading As My Hobby

I heard it so many times,
“Books are man’s best friends,”
Not just that I wrote an essay of 300 words in my secondary school,
Yes I read it in the book, ‘How to write impressive and ideal essays?’
Honestly speaking, it was out of no choice,
As the other topics were difficult to attempt.
I grew up thinking, “Reading would never be my cup of tea,”
And it held true for many years to be.
I would see people around, glued to books and deriving pleasure,
Also it was my father’s favourite activity in times of leisure.
During college I had the company of passionate readers,
In their discussion on books I was just a listener.
They often would talk about new and fascinating book they had come across.
But somehow didn’t much bother and I dint assume it be a great loss.
Deep in my heart I had planted a seed,
One day even I should develop a habit to read.
I have to admit I had even put, ‘Reading’ as my hobby in my C.V,
For it is considered to be an imposing quality.
I joined a school as a teacher,
I had to read stories to children,
I considered it to be a part of my job though found them somewhat interesting,
Still didn’t take it very seriously and found it to be alarming,
Until I got married and when my husband was not there,
I had lots of time to spare,
I don’t how and why I picked up a book,
It made me smile and I was happy for the decision I took.
I learnt innumerable things from the books I read,
‘Hats off’ to all those writers my heart said.
Then I realize that in books’ company one never feels lonely,
I am convinced for it’s the best hobby undoubtedly.
Finally it has happened to me and I am glad,
I owe it to my school and students I have had.

Continuing History of Ancient Greek Philosophy In Verse .

**Friends , breaking my composition into sections , due lenght restrictions **

Thales :The First Philosopher Scientist :-

Thales visited Egypt to study geometry ,
And also developed his unusual mathematical
ability !
Back in 585 BC he became very famous , -
By accurately predicting an eclipse of the sun !
Those early days of antiquity , had no clear
divisions between science and philosophy !
With philosophy , science , and mathematics , -
all were rolled into one ;
Thales became very renowned for his theorems !
One theorem stated that when you draw a triangle ,
Inside a semi-circle , it always had a right angle !
He was the first to introduce the process of
deduction , -
Deriving mathematical statements from logical
observations !
He was an exceptional man of antiquity ,
Much ahead of his time , - deserving publicity !

ANAXIMANDER (611-546 BC) :

Had introduced the sun-dial into Greece .
His treaties ‘On Nature’ was the first
philosophical work in Greek prose , -
Which the people of Greece had ever known !
For him the ‘arche’ was the ‘Boundless or
the Infinite’;
A space filling animate mass , a kind of
mysterious mixture ,
From which all things arose through
separation ,
Whose true nature he never described , -
Specifically or otherwise , in all his
deliberations !

ANAXIMENES (588-524 BC) :

A pupil of Anaximander - declared it was
air , mist or vapor ,
Which held the key to all reality forever !
From air all things arose through rarefaction
and condensation ;
Rarefied air into fire gets blown !
But when condensed it transformed into , -
Wind , cloud , water , earth and stone !
Man’s soul which is air , holds him together ,
So does the air which envelopes the earth -
sustaining all matter !
Since all changes are produced by motion ,
and motion being eternal ;
Further clarification he felt was not needed ,
and had nothing more to tell !
These Milesians with their innovative philosophy ,
Tried to seek a single explanation for the universe ,
and its multiplicity ! (To be continued with Pythagoras
of Samos next !) -Raj Nandy .

Days

On Days we arise and head straight to work
Regarding the paycheck a worthiness perk
Other days are just daze to figure out love
where we try to fit in and become a part of

The caring and sharing that life often brings
deriving our happiness from such little things
like a kiss in the morning caress in the night
The Days are for living and getting life right!

Ask Me

Ask me
Fountain of life word that ran with light.
Peer with life sometimes thoughts bleed.
I only fear words twisted by the tongue clap in mouth.
Reality bite mind.
It Provoke instinct of conscious life.
 Life let the truth bleed.

Suffering is the given name poverty.
Eyes strike with fear to see the light.
Sons cry out loud.
Silence is golden.
Poverty is a vibe of a young one.
Malawi poverty is deriving human soul out of rip cage.
Held to breath a soul baby girl sings.
 Names rings and eyes sees.
Poverty dumped men with a root of all evil.
That is a jail men rise we need a light.

Our daily bread, we pray to seek and knock.
Look seven to seven every day.
Believe you me life is stoned.
Generation need to step men see the light.
Police derive men to steel white men owns black men seek.
Poverty is punching suffering money is the key.
When do men stand?

Gave him what belong to him.
Gave God what belong to God.
Pain is they all belong to him.
Should me remain poor or strike.
Money is what he own.
Look at the style and life as a whole.
So should Malawi remain the same?
United nation is a name, African union is a pain.
Poverty is a stain.
Flowing of water under roofing.

Fear of safety generated breed, is inheritance accidental.
 Where do black man stand.
Spine in a cord is straight.
Nothing but joke John kani said it all.
Men learn to stand.
 Head scan thoughts.
Embrace you main brain.

Liberty is spoken let poverty be the curse.
It’s over now black men stand. Stripe until life erect.

One Red Flag

As I look around me, I see beauty that my eyes have never seen
before….like taking in a majestic view of the Rockies…I never knew that beauty such
as this existed. I feel ever so fortunate to have stumbled across this, surreal,
breathtaking, making my heart skip a beat…air so crisp…no thoughts, only seeing
what’s there….the splendor of it all, hearing nature exist, the striking landscape, the
fresh pine scent, not believing what my eyes are seeing. Wondering how much
longer could something so astonishing last, experiencing this all for the first time, I
soak it in. Delightful, feeling free, I stretch out my arms and just spin around, like a
little girl in a field of flowers….until I hear a sound. A sound that doesn’t belong in
this picture, almost like a flapping sound. I scan the valley, the mountains, the lake,
being so blind by the exquisiteness, I find it hard to find the source of this noise …
this noise that is interrupting my happiness in my moment. Searching and searching
…I find where the sound is deriving from….standing alone in the distance, almost lost
in the surrounding scenery…is one solitary red flag. Flapping in the pine scented
wind, the red flag is dominating, even from a distance. Had it been there all along?
How could I have not seen it? Was I that blinded by my regal surroundings that I
never saw it? Like a stain, the flag is ruining everything, taking away from the
beauty I behold. But this flag is all too familiar. I have walked through a field full of
them, like weeds among flowers, I tried to walk around them, to smell the
flowers….but eventually all the flowers wilted…until I was in a field of flags…crimson
red flags. But this is only one…one flag…will I choose to ignore it in order to be
surrounded by this beauty…or does the flag make it all seem like a dream that
fades away…will I find myself amongst more red flags…until I’m tripping over them
…or will I walk up to the flag and pull it up out of the ground and throw it away…in
order to stay blinded by this beauty….who would have thought…that one red
flag…would play such a important part in my life….one….red…flag….

"Shallow Thinkers" do not think past what they have been told; "Deep Thinkers" think past what they “think”, and have been told- "Free Thinkers" research what they've been told-- compare it to what they feel
And weigh the universal truths against their personal truths; observe and measure against customs and beliefs. The outcome of such behaviors is objective “Deriving at truth in its finality".
The overall and final truth is “like death” ... the cause may be different the out-come the same." You will surely die". This Is the absolute truth: The only need for "absolute truth" is to be a better human while you live. If Any human being deliberately - collectively, singly; Directly or indirectly interfere with another human's right to pursue happiness, by way of religious beliefs, strong arming, war, greed, rape, murder, they shall be held accountable. Do not force your parroted non-researched hearsay down another human's throat, causing them to stumble. Essential point is...” to do no harm” ...While living in these testing grounds on earth.

Nothing More! Nothing Less!

Cool monsoon evening
Tender cold breeze!

Still dark clouds on the western horizon
In the back drop of the factory chimney
And the crest of the church and temple!
In a perfect silhouette!

Chirping home bound birds
Bleating goats on the mud hills
The whistling passing train at a distance!

Occasional cold swirling winds
Beats the window shutters
and
Brings
The odor of pollens and petals of flowers
And burning smell of rubber scrap!

The plunged darkness behind me
Added perfect contrast
Of the vivid nature outside!

The prolonged silence in the ambience
And the loneliness in my life;
Making my mood to swing to the nature
With no friend or foe around me
Except
the hot cup of tea beside me!

I just slide on the window shutter
Seeing GOD everywhere!
But resigned my self to my loneliness!
yet;
With content in life;
For what I had
I have
And be;

Deriving every pleasure
From every whisper and fragrance
Passing through the window!
Fleeting my ears and cheeks!
Drop of showers
Trickling my hands!

Praying GOD
To upkeep this
Just ambience
For ever till me!

Nothing more
Nothing less
