Change aint easy,
lover and a hater times two.
The quiet one, looking for psychedelic sound.
Who am I? The Borrower, weeping unanswered questions.
When you can’t get high enough, call the listener.
Do you hear what I hear?

Beyond your abyss, a billion coloured raindrops.
Hands of light, pushing beyond your borders.
Measure for measure what a fool am I.
I reach towards her hand, consumed with each touch.

She passes me a rose, red is the colour of passion.
Sleeping beauty, dreaming with eyes open.
Blessed hypnotist, tentative dancer, dark lover,
tell me a sweet lie, beyond the walls of innocence.
Water spirit, float into love’s arms.

A sense of emptiness, I whispered your name.
Blessed red door, lust, shame.
Middle age white guy capturing freedom.
Pain felt soul tears, the editing of me.
Sweet scoundrel lies, rainbow coloured camouflage.
Beyond the open door, the world unknown to me.
Tell me what you don’t see.
Getting what I really wanted,
escaping gravity, filling up on empty.

The images plucked from a full soft drive like over blown berries
threatening to fall……blasted to the humus. Swing chains creak.
The high-backed, heart carved, chalk white, front porch swing sways;
to the kicking of your feet. Beside me, you sit in spankin’ new school clothes singing.

Together wrapped like pretzel dough, we warble, annoying the sparrows.
The bumble bee yellow and black stripped school bus is late.
The dreamy cottage bungalows’ screen porch perches like a tree house ledge
over the four story drop off. Hundred year old sentinel pines tower still above us,
limbs house hug. The occasional cone drop ricochets down the trunk
to a soft needle landing, and a bouncing roll before falling off the retaining wall

We own the world. King and Queen of the Mountain are we. I sing “Ducky Duddle” to you.
You laugh. All the joy in the world in such a small sound. Oh, how I loved to make you happy.
Two short years before, even your name was new to you..my boy, Jamie.

The Thorn's Song Ct

I smiled when lilac tulip bloomed,
I prayed for amber wings in rain.
On fiery leaves with love perfumed,
blue angels kissed her blushing chain.

How oft fir-kissed drops fall as gems
absorbing pangs of thirst from stems.
My bare soul drenched in velvet chrome
longs to rest in her musk-soaked home.

When lilac tulip bloomed, I prayed,
I smiled for amber wings in rain.
With love, perfumed blue angels kissed
her blushing chain on fiery leaves.

Afar, yet my love sings along
if only she'd hear a thorn's song.

A LEAF WITH A WINDOW TO THE PAST

After lunch, I took a leisurely walk.
I came across a giant leaf, that
whispered, as only a leaf can do,
" Pick me up gently and take me
 home with you!"

I did precisly as he requested, such
an autumnal treat, he was, so very
soft and colorful!
But then when in my kitchen, he
made a request,quite mournful.
"Get your scissors, and cut a heart-shaped
hole in the center of me."
I did as he requested, but was more than
sorrowful.

I washed him off with some gentle
soap from Crete.
He thanked me efficaciously and said he
had in mind for me, a special treat.

He ordered that we go on the deck, place
him on the wood and to hold my breath.

"Look in the heart,"I heard him say.
And you will see your love dancing in
San Francisco also known as 'Baghdad by the Bay."

"He will dancing in his Foustenella
and Greek costume complete.
When you first saw him performing
on Eddy Street!"

The leaf was not lying! I watched
my love jump and twirl!
As young as the day, I first saw him.
My heart was all a whirl.

The wonderful part for which I was
not ready!
Is that the street I met him on, as
well, as his grandson, are both
named EDDY!

The wind then blew and took my
leaf-friend with it.
I was so glad I befriended this leaf.
He reminded me that though we
get older, we need not let time of
our memories be a thief.

I smiled when the birds sang for me,
a sweet chirp, chirp song with delight;
just so blissful in the high tree,
though a loud wind blew- they sang bright.

The Fall leaves were slowly drifting,
oh, love when nature is shifting;
I like to gather colored leaves.
oh dear- some are stuck in the eaves.

The birds sang for me when I smiled,
with delight a sweet chirp chirp song;
in a high tree just so blissful,
they sang bright- though a loud wind blew.

I adore a stroll in the rain;
but a torrent is just a pain!

I smiled when the betrayal came
Across your face, the leering burst
As quickly as I said her name
Coldly, knowing she's not the first

You wooed me, once, with your sweet talk
But now you speak of chains and locks
Acerbic tears hollowed my trust
Our love lost in castles of rust

She's not the first; I coldly smiled
When the betrayal came, knowing
Her name, I said as quickly as
The leering burst across your face

So be free - once I take my due
She's welcome to what's left of you

Appellations of Love- Poem Titles- Ct

For I’d love to GIVE you colors-
a sangria sunset, delicate crimson eventide (echoes of brilliant blue).
You are the key to my heart, s p r e a d i n g hues of affection-
Beautiful scars sowing lavender fields; my muse once sleeping is AWAKE.

Barren love is here to stay, KISMET of love; redeemer of my soul-
stay with me for eternity.

A poet’s shadow left w e e p I n g, forever rescued without fear.
Beneath the willow I seek tenderness,
your tides surface me with love- a complete life you gave with ease.

F a d e d thoughts…
drowning in the ebon sky-
for you are my greatest weakness,
my gravity inside fear-
you pull me closer, b r e a t h of gratitude,
releasing struggle.

               Stardust pranced,
               the sunset danced…
                      in God’s light.
                      I empty the night,
               you rise the sun.
               love has finally won.

Lost in your eyes, seeking forever-
July heat, Summertime splendor bestowing HOPE.

I needed to know the battlefield of my mind-
you SAVED me.
I fear not loss of wealth-
losing you would break-my-heart.

                             FOR I CANNOT UNLOVE YOU...

Sweet Night Songs-Ct

I smiled when beguiled by glowing
inside an orb of golden light
From heaven, music seemed to flow
Sweet ambrosial songs in the night

Then, there sparked a magical flare
that formed a wreath upon my hair
I danced as stardust fell from high
and Angels chanted in the sky

When in the night, ambrosial songs
seemed to flow; music from heaven,
I smiled, beguiled by sweet golden
light, glowing inside of an orb.

My heart beat like a timpani
Played in celestial symphony

Perhaps, it would be Rockwell’s second choice
for my happy home has many different voices.
All around a small man-made lake they walk
proud American’s, multi lingual, they talk…

A maple forest with sweet pine blessing
Whites and Asians, Indians, caressing.
Lovers from all of the many nations
in my park find, content, contemplation.

Children of all colors play like sweet bits
and each and every Grannie watching, sits.
The American dream a joyous reality
a warm, loving place has risen here, free.

So, let new artists and artisans arise to portray
the bountiful beauty of each towns diversity!

Premium Member Lessons From Past Lives -- Ct

I smiled when I woke from my dreams
Vanquished is the dark tormentor
My dreamscape has refreshed, it seems
And the nightmares cannot enter

From Native American brave
To a mystery woman’s grave
In past-life regressions, I’ve learned
Not to be overly concerned

When I woke from my dreams, I smiled
The dark tormentor is vanquished
It seems my dreamscape has refreshed
No entry now for the nightmares

And those things I’m learning right now
Will help in the future somehow

I smiled invitingly, the screen
Revealed woman of my ideal
Russian silk beauty, pure, unseen
Pillow lips, brush eyelash appeal

I said I could serve her well, my earnings
Would purchase nicest things of her yearnings
I'll fly her here, get her spousal visa
Her eyes alight, replied, "Sure... I'm Leeza"

" I need a man on good money"
I smiled, " Two fifty salary"
Her sqint, " Oh, it is that each month?"
Sense shrieked above smooth aesthetic

Her theme clearly spelt pretentious
 - Need to switch her off, tremendous
