Best Crowds Poems
Lonely
When wandering alone away from crowds
I find it most soothing watching high clouds
Fascinating as they meander by
An outdoorsy movie held in the sky.
Only the lonely discern why we cry
We're sadly lonesome is the reason why
It’s well known that puffy eyed clouds cry too
They cry because desolated folk do.
Once upon a high cloud I was dreaming
Faraway from swarms of folk appearing
A dazzling castle was there on the cloud
With music and dancing, tears disallowed.
Over the rainbow Prince Charming came by
To claim his Princess right there in the sky
Venus the bright shining Goddess of love
Waved her magic dust o’er the night for us.
Angels came from somewhere, it was so grand
Dancing to an entranced castle dance band
We waltzed in the moonlight amongst the stars
Did a galaxy jig with planet Mars.
Too soon we were out of allotted time
At stroke of midnight bells began to chime
My Prince then got down on his bended knee
And began sweetly proposing to me.
Suddenly there was an almighty flash
The cloud it crashed and the castle collapsed
My dream disappeared into forever
Flown off to the land of Never, Never.
I woke to find myself sad and lonely
My dream cloud had been only boloney.

the crowds taking the subways
enter the underground
below upon waking
to rise up
to work
in the clouds above
only to go back in the evening
down through the underground
low upon leaving
to home
to family
to final rest
in the underground
or in the clouds above
Mingling showcase crowds gathering amid the contemporary chambers
Within this the modern day museum of the poisoned pilloried minds....
Subjugation piercing the thresholds beneath conscious perceptions views!?
Gazing as deeper into the contortions abstract of framework they go
Entranced assimilations aside artful disassociations; brushed with black
And blues colours and hews, of acrylic paintings hung upon the galleries
Mesmerizing, paradoxic walls growing collection in....

....Extramurals multiple personality disorders?!
We tried no sad good-bye ...
Despite crowds
in all the aisles,
all I can see
is the feel in me:
Mile after mile,
cloud after cloud,
my heart smiles
almost out loud.
Wind slicing air,
love slicing chest,
such tender care
when I love best.
I should rest
this feeling quest.
Leaving them behind
is something I mind.
Love of family
is separate from time,
what they give me
no clock can chime.
The plane soaring,
the jet roaring.
Watching a wing play,
I reserve what’s hurting
for some future day.
Among Crowds Mingle
Among crowds always like to mingle
Which does make my soul tingle
Seeing how happy people are
In America in bright new car
An RBI can be caused by a single.

rain soaks crowds
of cheering people - -

(my mother told me it was raining on the Queen’s Coronation, 2nd June, 1953)
for Joann’s June Memories contest
I’m so happy
someone slap me
bring me back to earth
before I float away, like a bird
This is a short week, before a 4-day weekend. It’s time to push it.
The density of study per square minute is chaotically high - but worth it.
If I can get everything done, I’ll have days to shake off the smallness
of school, perk-up my vital-signs and revitalise.
I’m motivated, elated and intoxicated at the thought of it
- I’m twirling in front of mirrors - can these feelings even be articulated?
I’m dancing through metro crowds
the uneven cobblestones feel like clouds
I blew a kisses to a busking mime
while bopping to ‘Lady Gaga’ sounds
I shocked an old lady
with an act of voluntary kindness
- I gave her my seat on the metro
she had groceries and looked about eighty
People aren’t mean,
they’re just mindless
it’s a form of situational blindness
I hope you guys have a great weekend too,
just relaxin’ and passing into springtime.

Crowds surround my mind
I cant hear at times for crowds
Surround my day and night
My thinking process is off
My brain waves are crowded
Crowds are invading my time
My life, my mind
How you doing
Man that's a big crowd
I better control my own crowds
Yet it's all in my head
I'm just a
Born Schizophrenic waiting to be diagnosed
Why wait this long
It's my crowds in my head
Upon crowds to do daily things
Now I gotta walk through crowds
When already the crowds exist in my head
These crowds have more than my crowds
Voices of crowds in my head
Crowds of people you pass daily
Crowds of crowds just keep growing
They wait for my movement
These crowds
Just waiting
Crowds are getting bigger and bigger
I'm not even diagnosed
Is it gonna get better?
These crowds upon crowds within crowds
I'm crowded
I should change my name to Queen Crowded
who got more crowds than in my head
then again there just
crowds on a daily day
I have to maintain
Even at night
I still have to maintain
But then again im insane
Or could I be sane
These crowds
Won't ever go away
These Crowds
They wait and wont go away
these crowds
my biggest fans
or is it all in my head?
I was surprised
It was so nice
As strangers passed
I checked you twice
And there you were
My curly friend
A blessed human
As strangers wend
You turned and smiled
It was so sweet
My heart was warmed
Your hug complete
And as I sit
Reflect on this;
The lingering warmth
Of friendship bliss
Hits somewhere deep
From you to me
And back again
Though words so twee..
Could not explain
The depth of love
That knowing you
Calls from above
So curly friend
With eyes so blue
You are enough
And that is true
May God's true kindness
Ever be
That sacred space
Twixt you and me
This is my heartache,
To be a witness and listen.
The cries, from the heartbreak.
Make the sound on inside pain.
The saddest music of our times.
Drowning out the sound of joy.
A pause breaking up the games.
By negative policies employ.
The compromise gives us all a chill.
With an era of wasted energy
Sabotage binge waiting with despise pill.
To give time the thrill of fantasy.
Where are the crowds?
With feelings able to connect with.
They are the drowning cords.
Singing with heartbreak drawn breath.
Where are the crowds we knew?
Lockdown in their homes.
Under preference review
Participating in research measures.
Select silence to generate an audience.
When the crowds are gone
Much smaller, adrenaline stays the distance.
Prove there is more talent yet to come.
Misery can only last while it's wrong.
We do not know where the crowds have gone.
Or why the torment has taken so long.
But at the end, the truth will come.
AUTUMN CROWDS
All night shaking and banging the metal roof,
Grey old water-laden crowds
Blocking the warmth of autumn’s sun;
Long uncut grass flows smooth as a cat’s fur
Under the scoops of the wind’s bluster.
Tall skinny Jerusalem Artichokes
Waving wildly with sunny yellow smiles,
Almost falling over with excitement
At seeing over the fence-top our own artichokes
Which they have grown up with for months:
Children excited to see the neighbor kids
In a chance meeting at the seaside.
Plums and apples in jars now.
Smells of sugary preserves linger in the kitchen.
Tiny young fruit flies swirl around the compost.
How is it, even in the clouds
I cannot escape the crowds; everyone is so loud
I am not a Rolling Stone;
This cloud I do not own
Nor, am I, thoroughly good
Nor, am I, bad to the bone
Heavy is the head that wears the crown
Have a heavy head;
But I sit in no throne
How is it, even in the clouds
Everyone is so loud?
I cannot escape the crowds
Even in the clouds
Today was the first day of class.
You should have seen all the people.
Everyone couldn’t have had class, some of them must
have been gawkers, the types that slow to watch
flat tire changings and car wrecks.
Some were carrying maps - freshmen.
Like student drivers they clogged the paths,
drawing a few looks.
They gaggle together like geese,
Jeeezus - shut UP and get ON with it, freshies! I thought.
Not ungenerously - I remember being lost - back in the day.
I have class, myself - in both the intrinsic sense - of style -
and in the “research for credit” ‘check in on the first day,’ kind.
Still, we’re parading, and I’ve always loved parades.
My one regret is that there are no mimes or elephants.
ok.. poetry..
Stress is somewhere in my propinquity.
See, it’s known to stalk this vicinity.
I’m not a freshman, so it hasn’t struck yet,
but when it does, and it will, you can bet,
that initially, it will shake my tranquility
and end our start-of-year festivities.
It will creepily creep, destroying my sleep,
until I prove my scholastic resiliency.

Why go nuts in a Saturday crunch?
Many stores now open 24/7, you see?
Packed stores, like monkeys on tall trees.
Me, home with tea and a zesty lunch.

NOTICE: this was listed originally as a limerick. A kind poet said it was not.
I had used another source that indicated a limerick could be four lines only.
I don't know anymore. So changing it to a rhyme. If you know about four
line limerick, .please Soupmail, me? Thanks.
