I like a good conversation ~ about love and life
An objective opinion or a subjective opinion

Belissima ~ Amore
Age does not protect against love
Your sweet smile makes me melt

Yes, I'm incurably romantic
Sweet strawberries with cream vannlije

Belissima ~ Amore
In your eyes rushes my inner thoughts ~ intoxicating
Life is a dream ~ Your smile is like the stars in the sky

It is fate that decides
The important thing is not to find one ~ but finding the right one

Belissima ~ Amore
Your kiss is like drowning in soft chocolate
May I kiss you again

I am sitting in my Dorchester lair,
And behind the door I do feel your mien,
When my poetic muse is in the air,
You look real as life to me, “Amore Mio”.

When I am surfing on the internet,
You are there in my click I envisage,
I initiate to scribe a sonnet,
And lo! I see you embossed on the page.

Sighing, wry face, the lips as a dried leaf,
Your greenish deep eyes upraised fully,
Neither death kills me, nor does lonely life,
But your silence eats my soul and body.

Numb as a disease, I die of a thought,
My love, don’t you sense the same as I aught?

=========================
A Shakespearian sonnet in Iambic Pentameter (ABAB CDCD EFEF GG)

Contest: Loneliness 7Th place win

Cause the Moon To Sing, Yet Nothing Is Good Enough

can I make you pregnant
so that we can at least
have a daughter or a son
it sounds less tackful
but as we have begun
all the obstacles have gone
and the strains of lust
has loosened
I thought to be one
as father and mother
might allow us to be
together as a family
like the way we
think things should be.

AMORE

Define love?
I would take your name in the initial state
because I thought my soul got its mate
The day when your arms gave the solitude
that's when I realized you are my magnitude
the way you embrace my worries and pressure
I got to know you are my precious treasure
Holding hands when I shiver and grieve
you gave me courage to retrieve
whom should I blame, you or fate?
why did you lie saying you would never fade
due to which my tears continuously cascade

what's my mistake?
Being coward and letting you go for happiness
definitely knowing that your absence makes me restless
I lost the color and warmth and became ruthless
all these memories haunt me and make me breathless.
your touch, smile, sight still make me sleepless.

what's agony?
finding no possibility of having you in my life,
not being able to hold you when the world falls apart,
not being the reason, you laugh hard on your rough days,
not being the reason when you smile bright.

what's stupidity?
I would stay still, when your words hurt me
and I would apologize saying it's my mistake
You would call me backstabber and cheater
I would take it as an appreciation meter.
And yet you question my love and loyalty?
weren't my eyes enough to describe the adoration,
damn every time I gave you sense of affirmation,
didn't my rapid heartbeats define my dedication,
why don't you choose me is my question?

What's bed-time story?
without you I don't smile bright and lost my glory.
remembering the sweet bickering and warmth you gave
instilling hollowness of the peace you take
me forgiving you for the mistakes you make
because my soul and heart are at stake?
I dream you hug me tight and make this pain a haste.

                                                                     -Amore.

Knight in Lying Amore

            James Dean Bob Marley,
a Valentines Hunter on a Harley,
            ties his horse hog down,
enters the house saloon of get "lucky" town,
             Offers imbibe after imbibe
         as suggestinal ingestinal bribe,
         but forget about her tolerance,
she fell asleep on the couch,
out cold as if she'd died.
         So romeo with advance
      he missed his chance, ouch!
And he with a wine on his hands
          and ****happens-stance,
said goodbye to his smooth plans,
said goodbye to romance.
Was also left with his....in his hands.

Logistics - a Parody of a Certain Delivery Company's Television Advert, To the Tune That's Amore

Yes we don’t give a toss,
If your package is lost,
That’s logistics,
If it’s broken or bent,
Or has multiple dents,
That’s logistics,
If it’s fragile and breaks,
It was not our mistake,
That’s logistics,
Well you were not at home,
So we sent it to Rome,
That’s logistics!

So incredibly late,
That it’s gone out of date,
That’s logistics,
We don’t know where it went,
Are you sure it was sent?
That’s logistics,
Your parcels we’ll stash,
But we’ll still take your cash,
That’s logistics,
What an item on time?!
Oh no wait, it’s not mine,
That’s logistics!

Amore

Storm of feelings inside me,
high, cold walls around me,
I just love you, nobody else, just you, "amore!"
It's hard to fight when my mind wants you,
my heart beats for you, every cell of my body
exists for loving you!
You are not mine, and maybe you'll never be,
but the stars, the whole universe moves
before this storm
of feelings, the sun isn't strong enough to
fight it,
the Earth shakes every time when I think of
you,
only the ocean can absorb and calm my soul,
but nothing can stop this eruption of pure,
simple love!
You want to be loved, but you don't know how
to love.
You want to open your heart, but it has been
closed too long.
You want to be caught by the storm,
but you only know how to run from it!
Then run!
Wherever you go, wherever you hide, every
cloud, every raindrop you'll see.
It's going to be me, "amore,"
me and my storm of feelings!

That's Psychosis

(parody of the hit song sung by Dean Martin, “That’s Amore”)

When the moon hits your brain like the whoosh of cocaine,
That’s psychosis.
When delusions galore throw good sense out the door,
That’s psychosis.

Bells will ring (Ding-a-ling-a-ling! Wing-a-ding-a-ding!)
As you string yarns together.
Eyes will roll (Total load of bull! Total load of bull!)
When your whirlwinds we weather.

When you hear in your mind voices clear, stern or kind,
That’s psychosis.
To conceive them a sign or believe they’re divine
Is insane...

Still it seems such a wonderful dream since you’re
Under hypnosis.
Pardon me; you can’t see, but the reasoned agree
That’s psychosis.

Castello Di Amore

Castello di Amore Parte 1

A million yellow bricks for you,
Cut, from the quarry of my soul
I work both day and night,
A willing lovers toll

Over lands, the stones I carry
To the place that you have found,
Blue skies and rich, loamy soil,
Our future promise abounds.

The home is built together,
Mortar is our Love
Furnished with feelings gold,
We will, have more than enough

Tending the land as one,
Ancient and rusty vines
Soon, heavy with purple fruit
We laugh and make our wine

The heady scent of olives,
Growing in our grove,
We relish the salty taste,
A discovery we both know.

Years ease past,
They're kind to us.
We enjoy growing old.
Features gently blur,
But our yellow bricks still glow

You still laugh at me,
And I, still smile at you,
The later years we hold,
Take on a special hue.

A longtime ago,
I made the yellow bricks for you.
Cut, from the quarry of my soul.
You laughed and held my hand,
My Heart, you made me Whole.

Castello di Amore Parte 2

I lie on our bed,
You hold my hand.
Not long left, in our beautiful land.

Darkness quickens around me so,
I hear your voice, please don't go.
Squeezing your hand, one last time.
I am yours and you are mine.

Your last kiss.
Was my tear.
We will smile again
My beautiful Fear.

A season later,
You drink our wine,
You taste the love,
Both yours and mine.

You follow the path
Back to our home
On this walk,
You're never alone

You hold me tight,
Then close your eyes,
And I lift you up,
To the burnished skies.

Perdonami amore mio

Castello di Amore Parte 3

Rising to the heavens,
Floating on your smile,
We've a long way to go,
It will take a while.

Your hand in mine
I've watched you from above,
for some time.

You look so happy.
You are truly free.
Finally.
I am you,
and you are me.

Souls connect,
Atoms collide.
Our house,
the horizon wide.

We are the sun,
the rain,
wind,
And the summers tide.

Together,
amongst the stars,
Nothing to fear,
Even less to hide.

The Universe is ours.
Never growing old,
Rising with the morning sun,
We watch our house of gold.

Beatrice: Mio frate non andrai co' piedi scalzi
ne 'l tuo ritorno per donar tesoro,
                   non ambulante ne' pedestri balzi;

anzi né avrai l'onère del canoro
                   ch'unice melodiando fugge egèsta
ma tu alaggiando sovra questo moro,

già mai dispererai per croce o testa.

Ioàn: Repleno di promessa omai discaglia
meco 'l principio ch'altro fa lamento,

ch' alcuno imparadisa e altrui 'nferna.

                    omnia disonni a discovar forcella;

                   e ciò è tributo a fallo e idolatrare.

Ioàn: In te la mia scintilla flamma e aulesce,
In te cinère sono e ricreommi,
           s'umanità mia pria non delesce:

d'uno si fero piùe ' funesti pommi
onde lo primo genere fu parto
           lungi d' ubì a grazïa l'assommi.

Coffee Amore

alarm rings it's five AM
the adventure begins
my Nespresso is expecting me
the morning is our moment
at the office I dash for a cup
truly a love affair adored
meetings jammed in my head
then comes mid-morning doldrums
can't get enough of your intense flavor
another meeting and a morning buzz
after lunch deadlines swirl in my head
afternoon fancy with an Italian roast
last meeting and one more dark cup
home with family and dinner
early evening on sofa with a book
last dark French roast to end my day
in bed with my wife lights out
a few short hours I'll do it all again
that's me sorted

                   innesta a la puerizia unìce berbe;

                    così l'amplesso de' sofismi addenda
a 'l mondo la piètra ancora e rude,
                     e non liquor ch'accidia disincenda.

                    O altrove negasi qüelle drude
                    artefatte sentenze sanza cura
                    d'esser venène se non crude?

                    Ed esse cinte d'ingloriose mura
inspazia lo su' autor ne l'avvenire
                     non come munificio ma 'n usura;

                  onne mia dedizione pria diletta
se no da mia equità meco disarcio:

name mi sono appreso intra la letta
in che lo flume de 'l discorso rade
                  d'aver d'una rugiada l'aude umetta;

                       i' vegno a 'l primo freddo de 'l mattino
e sì novella possa mi pervade!

Beatrice: Ricorditi virtute è 'l tuo confino
ma 'n ella libertate a te è plenaria

d' amor che tutto 'nvita e seco invaria

                   e fé l'oceano sempre limpio e terso.

Seasons welcome change as tree stands
branches intertwine as held hands.

Love evolves in sweet harmony
as fruit blossoms to nourish Life
fragrant flowers bloom man and wife.
