Best Advantaged Poems
Secretly, I watch the neighbors,
From my well-advantaged location.
Mrs. G. is complaining about her husband to Mrs. S.
No one's drama is ever as vivid as Mrs. G's.
They full-body laugh, tongues out.
Mr. P. is going to be late for supper again;
I can hear Mrs. P. cussing.
At 4:15 I hear the all-day waited slam of a backdoor.
My girl is running toward me, flat out.
She is carrying a white pillow and gray blanket.
There's a plastic bag swinging from her arm as she climbs.
Prior experience tells me the sack holds a book, a drink
and her favorite sandwich - mayonnaise, peanut butter and lettuce.
After smashing a few ants on my floor, the girl flops down,
and begins to read.
I smile as she devours the sandwich like a young starving wolf.
She's ten, the perfect age to devour.
Every day is the same except Saturday.
On Saturday my girl spends the whole day inside me,
reading two to three books at a time.
It is our favorite day.
Her sister runs out sometimes and begs the girl to play,
but we are fighting pirates, conquering Asia, taming macaws.
We are so in tune, she and I.
When I hear "CANDICE MILLIE STREET COME IN IMMEDIATELY!"
I know my girl has to climb down and run for the house,
leaving me alone,
to spy on the neighbors.

I am hurting can't you see?
How could you walk out on the children and me?
It was you who I gave all of my love, support and trust.
Now I am left here alone doing a job that was meant to be done by the both of us.
You promised you for us would be here.
I never thought you would walk out on me.
It feel like I have never known the one I believed in so much would walk out and leave his family.
How selfish you really are with no dignity at all; showing everyone who know us that you could really care less about our emotional scars.
You walk and drive around taken advantaged of how blessed you are with being capable.
The last thing on your mind is having the thought of whether your children will wake up to breakfast on the table.
I don't know how; but I know I will make it.
I'll keep pushing forward doing the best I can in moving on.
Many complained Joe micromanaged
Some even called him “disadvantaged”
The devil in the details
Is the truth that tips the scales
Revealing who is less advantaged
Based on Albert Einstein’s quote –
“Whoever is careless with the truth in small matters cannot be trusted with important matters.”

Welcome back, John :D
Seeds of the Savior's garden
Advantaged by the early rain
Bud and bloom in grace and pardon
Bearing fruit that love sustain
Acres to be reaped, hands like buzzing bees
Teachers making the reapers bold
Holiness of word performed is holiness of soul
Send them forth to sow and garner
Christ the vine master empowers all
Heaven's storehouse becomes the richer
Omitting judgment, helping those that fall
O Lord, our God, we surrender all to you
Lead us to green pastures, your vessels true
IN MODERATION
By: William S. Labtis
Anything….taken
in excess is wrong!
Physically, morally or legally!
What may cause or uncaused you
Un-ending indigestion, detestation
protestation , exhaustion or exhumation!
After that condemnation…is a word of caution!
We may take it lightly or seriously
Everything of anything maybe precariously
Must be inconsideration always
To a safety-net should command
To seemingly good and blessedly
We must think twice and wisely
Look back for moderation as a demand.
Having dealt with in practice
Totally or wildly these earthly vices
Will surely become a backfire.
In any ground, workplace or perchance
Omit or commit, the end is indeed the measure
In battlefields, too much is an extreme
Nothing is lost than yourself alone.
Next, coming soon, live or let live
Everyday, every hour and every minute
Playfully, habitually, illegally or criminally
You may think the law dismiss or spare
What may be done uncommon or un-naturally
As the mean justify the end, automatically
As the best judgment…is moderation!
Partake and indulge
Why not! But have we considered
There are other lives who wanted to live
By themselves, with you ,however, never cared
So much we have taken advantaged of
Disheartened and engaged with and prejudiced
Nothing in exchange for moderation
The best of times.
May have leisurely come
Grasped handily, nevertheless, having done
Against the law of Heaven and man
Humanly physical. biological and environmental
and material
But you have gone so far so fatal
Forgot moderation which could have been
sweetly natural must prevail.

I've never tasted life, as the elite,
Nor been advantaged with copiousness;
But I've reveled in success,
And likewise, endured the anguish,
And frustration of defeat;
But still,
I won't impugn, those, having thoughts
That I've accumulated much;
"For little, is much, when God is in it."
For as,
God has readied each day,
He has situated me, with farish health,
To continue plowing on;
Perhaps this does infer,
That just being, places me among them.
Who's The Good Apple of the Bunch?'s Series Chapter 1:
Hope ~
Hated for what she says or does…I can relate to what happens to her everyday somewhat! She’s been taken advantaged of and been bullied all her life, especially by her mean sisters…she’s an emotional mess and scared to express herself, except in music – the family’s main passion
Oh! So hopeless, stepped on like a dusty doormat, and a same magnet – her personality’s the opposite of her name ironically! She bottles up everything inside and she’s not so good of an influence on her one and only niece; however, she’s special and blessed in her eyes!
Pain fills her aqua-blue sky eyes…her beloved niece is leaving sadly! Oh well…she’ll get over it one way or another! Just leave her be and she’ll move on with life, even with a broken heart…there’s no one to speak her mind to now! Her feelings were meddled with and she’s hurt in the inside – pushed around by the wistful wind…she’s emotionally instable and she’s awfully sensitive!
Eager to getting her back, but this tragedy she faces is heartrending and it leaves her helpless…hopeless once more…rainclouds collapse from bitter clouds…abandoned for life until the future brings some hope in store and in mind for her sake! Restore hope to her grieving heart…
All Division loves fools, but man’s Truth is quite grey! Though math’s ‘truth’ can get bought,
proofs must face peer review, and ALL logic examined for flaws in its arc.
How I loathe this admission! I hate ‘truths’ we ‘buy’ that aren’t grounded, that surf
on frail bubbles (that can’t hold mosquitoes aloft), quail like vampires who seek
their reflections in mirrors. Death’s hand warms by touching cold corpses he reaps?
Man’s walls fall, tides sweep beaches of shells left behind. Evolution’s work’s planned!
Life’s the brother, the sister of light; we are star’s dust’s shaped clay, born to shine.
All are spawn of one mother. Her womb shores an ocean whose soup fuels design,
fins evolve, form five fingers, five toes, as we pour from the sea’s depths toward land
to find food, not get eaten. Survivors pass genes on, advantage that seeps
through the genome. The fittest get chosen as partners more often and tweak
less advantaged. Does God not evolve too, feel blessed as child’s cleats clutch earth’s turf?
Is true God, not just static (Who learns from Creation) the fount of life’s spark,
God at one with the Bible, as humble as Christ, who in teaching gets taught?
Long Tooth

It’s closing in,
The harmonic melody,
It’s tone deliberately grim.
As a one-time melody, it is heard by all.
A familiar, yet unfamiliar ring.
For the majority - its tune is distance.
But like all those before, I can hear it-
I can hear it from deep within.
It’s seduction.
Always terribly well-advantaged,
Overpowering,
Never once balancing.
From a figure showing us from within, it gives a gesture done to many before myself,
Void of rush,
It’s time for our dance.
What of my arm?
What tames my reach?
What keeps my arm dangling at my side?
Something foreign-
Something I cannot recognize...
Limbs void of any flesh, it coaxes with its twists and turns
Its movements are deliberate,
Deliberately leaves one to feel left out.
Not special but eternal,
Our well-worn dance.
But unlike it’s “ending”, it is mine instead.
For Another Great Poem
For another great poem my mind is panting
And thank God for granting and planting
Poem I could never think of or ever do
Let God set perfect example for me and you.
Thought I was big, bragged and did boast
When I ate fastest will consume the most
Don't take God for granted or advantaged of
When He wants us to trust, obey and love.
If you want to write poem better then that
We will be both going into mortal combat
And I may be starting out as a beginner
But with God will end up being a big winner.
Which part of this poem did you disagree with?
James Thomas Horn, Retired Veteran and Poet
I was at the bar tonight – I’m sorry, father
I am the crow of the night, so don’t bother,
Releasing me, for I have wings of flight already
I bore these scars for far too long…the stars are my confetti…
I’m feeling lonely tonight
I’m not that bright, alright?
I’m swimming in my emptiness
I’m flying too high into this mess
The tablet and I are in love again…love again…
Technology has taken advantaged of me
Then again, it makes me feel good and then…
Someone has to bully me online…you see?
I have been in so many bars
To try to thrill me in many ways…many ways
In His eyes, I am like a billion stars
I’m just going through one of those days
I must rise above the waters of woe
I must drive out the lies of your goodbyes
I am that lonesome crow, you know?
Change is a challenging chore…yeah, no lies…
I am restless and can’t seem to shut my mind down
I am confident that tomorrow will lift up my frown
Grieve not, love of mine, for I am no longer sad
Leave not, darling angel, for I am no longer mad
I am the silence amongst crowds
I am the leather amongst your loads
Your laundry pile makes me smile
Because my own is less than style
I believe there are brighter days out there
I am the introvert amongst extroverts
Tear away the sorrow from within oh so bear
Comfort me in the shadows…it hurts…
I’m soaring too low in my slight distress
I’m ascending from my sheer emptiness
I’m feeling no longer lonely tonight
Will you be my one and only friend?
You shed some light upon my night
Will you be my best friend till the end?
I’m descending from my horrifying fears
I’m rising above the ashes of our nightmares

‘I leave am for God’
Is the poor man's prayer
When he submits to higher realms
Transferring judgement to higher forces
The answer to that prayer is often terrifying
When you take another for granted
Trampling on another because you are advantaged
Usurping communal wealth because you are in charge
Bleeding the flock you are supposed to pastor
It is the poor man that bears the brunt
Don't fall a victim
"Expect great things from God; attempt great things for God"*.
When I was young, such words of a missionary were Read.
Words I never forgot and locked them deep in my Head.
Of course there were many adverse and opposing Words.
But I waved them off, and they quickly flew away like Birds.
I had very humble and small beginnings, always looking to Excel.
When one dreams and fears The Lord, he need never fear to Fail.
Whether they took me farther than I otherwise would have Gone;
Or if they opened a part of me that I otherwise would never have Known;
I shall never know, but I am grateful to have latched on to the Challenge.
Having done so, I think the Lord is pleased. And I am the more Advantaged.
"Expect great things from God; attempt great things for God".
