Expect and Attempt

"Expect great things from God; attempt great things for God"*.

When I was young, such words of a missionary were Read.
Words I never forgot and locked them deep in my Head.

Of course there were many adverse and opposing Words.
But I waved them off, and they quickly flew away like Birds.

I had very humble and small beginnings, always looking to Excel.
When one dreams and fears The Lord, he need never fear to Fail.

Whether they took me farther than I otherwise would have Gone;
Or if they opened a part of me that I otherwise would never have Known;

I shall never know, but I am grateful to have latched on to the Challenge.
Having done so, I think the Lord is pleased. And I am the more Advantaged.

"Expect great things from God; attempt great things for God".
