Ask Out Poems | Examples

Will you be mine?

Are you for real?
What if you are fake I fear.
You make me feel something,
I'm not myself nevermind it's nothing.
I wish time to stop when I am with you,
Life seems magical morelike getting out of my phase blue.
Butterflies in my stomach when I look into your eyes,
I want to be real and no more lies.
This poems feels stupid,
Maybe because I am in the phase of cupid.
Seems like my teenage dream came true,
Let's just get lost in it without no clue.
I just don't want to care about anything for this one time,
And wanna ask out that will you be mine?

A Betrayal Of Friendship

What a recent shame it's been
Tears are falling once again
Eyes are red and really swollen
After all my faith was stolen
Someone I completely trusted
With a friendship has now busted
All my dreams that we could be
Like sisters in a family
Sharing good times and the bad
Thinking it is what we had
But your act of cruelty
Smashed apart the sisterly
Union I fought so hard for
Your actions are so hard core
It sucker punched me in the gut
Opening my eyes that were shut
When did you become unloyal
To the point you had to soil
All the years I tried my best
To be someone you can invest
All your happy and sad days
But you threw that all away
Stealing a guy you knew
I worked up the courage to
Finally ask out on a date
But you swooped in now its to late
I hope you burn in a hell fire
You're a crappy friend and liar

Premium Member The Bench That Changed My Life

In recent days on a holiday
that we spent in the English Lakes
a day spent at Grange-over-Sands
this lovely little town is so great

It has an attraction all of its own
especially down at the duck pond
which is surrounded by many a bench
memories of a bench made me respond

In 1989 after being ill with chickenpox
I spend time there recovering for a week
before leaving home got a get-well card
from a young lady, I admired so to speak

I sat on that bench many a day
reading a get-well card to me
it was so nice that a lady did care
then I was in a quandary under the tree

The bench did indeed change my life
for I did ask that young lady to go out
amazingly she said yes, in time is my wife
sweet memories indeed there is no doubt

(That lady that I did ask out on that first date was Christine now my wife of 33 years.)

Are You Still There

I hear the dishes clink and clank,
And footsteps on the floor.
Are you still there? I ask myself,
I don't know anymore.

I reach the stairs and sit a while,
Outside my bedroom door.
"Are you still there?" I ask out loud,
I wish that I knew more.

I'm almost down the staircase now,
I'm sitting on step four.
I see you through the railing gaps,
Inside the kitchen door.

You are still there! I see you now,
Of this I can be sure.
I'll stay a while and watch you as you
Finish up your chore.

"It's time for bed, you sleepy head.
Feel safe and feel secure.
I'll always be right here for you,
Right now and evermore."

Dear Milt,

I said I would...

                         *

The eager young man was a loner
Too timid to ask out Ramona
That outrageous flirt
Hitched up her short skirt
He’s now got an enormous, er, um... AHA!.. Desire to phone her???

                         *

What do you reckon? Poet Laureate? Knighthood? Fame? Fortune?
Hmmm... who organises those stars in the sidewalk?

At the age of but ten, I didn't open a lemonade stand
I was afraid to ask my dad for permission

At the age of twenty, I was scared to ask out my honey
I couldn't face the thought of rejection

At the age of thirty, I didn't stay in the Holy Land
I lacked requisite faith in Israel's mission

At the age of forty, I didn't leave town upon divorcing
I didn't quite trust my intuition

At the age of fifty, I didn't start my own school
I didn't have the guts to follow my passion

At the age of sixty, I kept postponing health decisions
I put my trust in hopin' and wishin'

Then on the way to retirement I joined Poetry Soup
And thanks to my new friends' kind words of nutrition
  I write poems like this--
Of my own free will and volition

Possibilities

2016 a disaster ! Sugar addiction makes me fat
     Even fatter than my cat
Beware of that which gives immediate pleasure
     Can take away life's treasure

A truck load of pizza, cardboard and fake
Don't forget chocolate, for heavens sake
Enough ice cream to make elephant bloat
Want to dive from castle into moat

     Because I'm fat, too shy
     Love impossible to buy
     Heart's desire kept in cage
     Love's poem a torn page

2017 new life begin ! Get off of this road
No more sitting around like a big fat toad
Pump enough iron, Charles Atlas would fain
     Dancing, even in the rain

Will unleash my heart, what a thrill !
     Ask out whoever I will
     Maybe love find, no fear
2017 will be a very good year !

Taken, She Will Lie

Fear of the future,
And Faces by fates,
Ends in a failure.

Thoughts of her,
And You a diehard,
A sweetheart you get.

Me gusta you be,
And ask out,
A date it be.

Keep fantasizing,
Away from her smiling,
Then be waiting,
A question coming.

Why off-hook,
Why shying you look,
Say, Timid she makes you be,
And lie, your thoughts she can't see.

I have love in the wild,
Long lost, unable to find,
A question then ask.

You have what it takes,
To go wild without the fakes,
Ask, willing to help me make,
Through life, through hardships?

A no would be obvious,
Carefree she will say,
Or taken she will lie.

Don't you give up,
Rather along stay up,
And care, and stand up,
She might give in,
And in love, fall in.

You are mine, say often,
Your words, try soften,
In your life she will remain.

Success in sorries,
Silent love in phases,
Be the formula for future.

New Years Hallucinations

New Year’s hallucinations

“i’m gonna
lose weight!
get ridda’ that gut!
firm up that tush!
finally stop ****ing smoking!
get my *****together!
get outta debt!
start looking for a new job!
join a gym!
start eating healthy!
spend more time with my family!
work at a soup kitchen!
start workin’ in my community!
quit drinking!
kick the habit!
clean up my language!
try & see the world from the point of view
of others!
travel!
get a hobby!
learn another language!
ask out that girl i’ve had my eye on!
start hitting on that guy that makes my knees
ache!
be nicer!
smile more!
get up earlier!
start doing yoga!
call my parents more!
start thinking about the future!
put more emphasis on the “spiritual” part of
my life!
get a dog, a cat, a fish, a bird!
make the world a better place!”

Don's Dilemma

Don’s Dilemma
I had a mate who was 30
who had come off a farm way out west,
never been out with a woman.
He asked me what to do next?

We talked as we belted the ball,
as we played brutal table tennis.
I said go to the café that’s all,
near the big hospital Alexandria

 Ask out every woman,
 one of the 600, delights,
Nurses that you could like
until you get one who might
come out on a date tonight.

Don he looked like an Arab,
 but he was Italian Aussie,
the first taker, he married,
now has six kid n 5 houses.

Must have been good advice ?

A Slight Return

Darkness is my life that apears in
light.
Has it come to just another fix.
The smile does conceal my losing fight.

The music the screams within.
The lies eat away at the man I can no
longer stand.

Hollow is thy heart.
Crimson stains all that is never held in
hand.

It started a game now it's a curse.
In darkness I speak to you
all I could never say.
The man once known to you.
Has all but faded away.

And as I slip into adictions abyss.
Candle lit memories were taken
with the breeze.
That killed that romantic glow.

As the stranger who exists in the form
once you did love.
Twist's into a form you cannot understand.

I ask out of love for you to forget.
The monster that haunts this form.

In memories true love we will forever know.
The emptyness of of this life.
And the once splendid candle lights glow.
In truth we die.
As we live.
So must we cry.

Not every every question has a answer my friends.

Deepskin

im scared to say that i like you
i really like, don't know what to do.
Will you care or freak out
just like everyother girl i ask out.
but we can just be friends
someday we can be at both ends.

I want to see you, is that ok?
Maybe christmas or a sooner day
But were would i stay, when im away?

Will you parents like too!
Just as much as i like you?
Im so nervous i can't think
I just want to see you and fix that broken link.

thats part of my heart that i don't want to sink
deep into that hole of darkness
that hole of pain, that leave a stain
deep inside my heart
