                                       ASHLEY

                         She was like a daughter to me
                        A child who needed a father of
                       Her own but not quite all alone
                       Nor a stone

                    Almost a stepdaughter that kid
                  Was a likable sweet child who
                 Almost mild but never wild often smiled
                 Spoke from the heart

               She was cute and sometimes funny
               Even though not a bunny and brighter
              Than brownies that are covered with
            Peanut butter -Might have been better off as a squirrel
           and last I saw her she was an adorable painting

            But no matter what she does nor what name
         She uses Ashley will always be Ashley even though
        Not the cheese loving munchkin that she was

A Spaniard, perhaps—yet a Welsh-British New Yorker?
Whose layered literary allusions prove he's a real corker

As unfaithful as Ashley Madison

09-12-2024

Being as unfaithful as Ashley Madison
That’s how I honestly feel when it comes to God
Who’s not like luggage which I can just jettison
Though the world at times tempt me to never applaud

Him it tantalises me endless draws me in
Like raindrops on spider’s web yet so bitter-sweet
I can’t deny myself this feeling which can spin
Me out of control making me think I’m complete

Caught up in this trap where I feel like flame exposed
In the wind struggling to stay lit and bright on site
I thought being in the dark no one sees me imposed
On me consistently afraid of how this Light

Tracks each move I make I’m like Eve in the garden
Ecstatic with this set-up where I always find
Myself in God’s mercy asking to be pardon
A perpetual sinner under His watch aligned

To go astray right away even if I do
Believe in God wholeheartedly with all my faith
The main challenge my flesh constantly puts me through
Trials and tribulations not once not twice not eighth

Time provided I’m cognizant of how I live
Under His radar forgiven every time I
Sin and sin and sin again and again He give
Me chance provided I repent and not just try

Premium Member Poetry, a Profound Sense of Beauty By Susan Ashley and Frederic Parker

In this wondrous world, we are bound
to the silent realms of our poetic soul

Where white doves flutter and sighing words whisper
as dreams are dreamt with a heart's fervor
of unyielding desire which brightly burns
through the words of poetry
that capture the world's glorious glimmers
which slowly drip upon the page as poems
seeking a night's landscape
of wandering wishes beneath glittering stars
from a memory in fanciful flight
on the wings of perfection

where a sonnet shimmers in stardust bestrewn
as the moon serenaded fades into song
forgetting to rise and light dusky skies
lost in the magic of this intimate dark
as lips of a poet tingle the skin of a lyric
and brush with a breath thoughts soft as a flute
fantasy flies like fireflies from a jar
to drift to the depths of velvet horizons
reveries no longer long to be free
as the muse charms a pulse from the page

It's there in my heart's timeless space
I hear the poems of your soul

who would like to see her children’s dreams come true, the other side of the heavens and the end of man’s inhumanity to man, animals and Nature

The Ambiance of Amber Light

I watch the morning glow behind you
inviting my eyes to pause in soft amber light
which frames your beauty
warming my heart with a smile
bursting the seeds of passion
allowing them to float endlessly...through my soul
pouring desire into the eyes of love
until they overflow and drip like dew from leaves
glistening in the sun spiraling towards Earth
leaving a wondrous glint in the eyes
could that this moment never end
nor escape into the unknown

Bathed is my essence in sweet dew of dawn
and wondrous is the glint that luster your eyes
as I radiate morning-glory grandeur
within your golden gaze of ardor
whose fervent seeds sow saffron dreams
wishing to possess and be possessed
I reach for you surrendering in softest amber light
luscious in the bloom of morn
captured in the nectar of each breath
taken in the heated heights of desire's depths
this moment an amaranth
thrilling this twinkling of time never to fade like a distant star

My gratitude to Susan and her beautiful mind and heart
for her help and kindness

Premium Member Ashley G

Oh, do you know of Ashley G?
My woman crush, it's plain to see
just why I think she must be heard
and that is why I pass the word
A woman brave and sexy strong
who tells the shamers, "You are wrong!"
There is no one way we should be
a size plus siren, look at me!
I live my life just as I please
without a care, so let them tease!
I have the looks; I have the curves
When you see me, you're bound to swerve
and take a second and third look
my beauty goes beyond the book
I'm gorgeous, sexy, here to say,
'Now love your body, all the way'
I love my curves and cellulite
My handles that are out of sight!
I flaunt, I strut, and let them stare
This plus sized model doesn't care!
I'm Ashley G, my swimsuit line
and lingerie make big girls shine!"

I follow Ashley on the gram
and love her dearly, that's no scam
Oh, Ashley G, you're meant to be
The icon for big girls like me!

Plastic Surgery - Inspired By Susan Ashley

PLASTIC SURGERY
~~~~~
The now senescent sands, lost beauty,
suffering plastic surgery two tides a day.
Back when, the tides revealed its beauty.
Man, so remiss, it hasn't stayed that way.
Metaphorically speaking, as sand can't age
Biologically speaking, but its density,
It increases, and quickly when storms rage
From rock to mud, ongoing, relentlessly.
