Susan Ashley: Daydreamer

Susan
wife of Bill,
mother of Brock, Julianna, Jocelyn, Marcus
Heather and Billy, Jr.
grandmother of Logan, Delaney and Isaac
daughter of Alice and Albert and sister of Michael and Diane
lover of family, imagination and artistic expression, the skies in all its moods and wild places
who is patient with others but impatient with self, is inquisitive, confident yet insecure
who embraces laughter as well as tears, the thrill of wonderment, the beauty of empathy
and fears loss of freedom, the unknown and hateful emotions
who would like to see her children’s dreams come true, the other side of the heavens and the end of man’s inhumanity to man, animals and Nature
a proud lifelong resident and beach enthusiast of the South Coast of Massachusetts
Ashley.

First you and hubby, then 6 children, then their husbands and wives and their children, then the parents of the daughter and sons in laws, and maybe they all have Godparents, Gosh my dear poetry sister, that is quite a family. You are blessed my friend. Where better than to be on the South Coast of Massachusetts, and furthermore to be a proud lifelong resident - I love this poem, into my faves for certain! Hugs, love and blessings. May your New Year be peaceful happy, jolly and safe, Jennifer.

I am charmed to know you. Actually each of us is a daydreamer more or less. 'seeing children dreams to come true' I like most this sentence ' A mother feels always more happy seeing success of children than her own achievement.

My heart is warmed by your rich, kind comments, Krish. I so appreciate your lovely visit and the beauty with which you express yourself. I did not write this poem for the contest, rather, I wrote it a while ago just as a way for other poets to know more about me. I'm so pleased that you enjoyed it! Please do apply, and write your bio poem for the contest, I would love to read it. Thank you again, dear poet, for your gracious visit. Warmest wishes always.. ~Susan

My lovely sissy! I have missed you so much! Alas, life outside the tree house is rough stuff. I can't believe you're ramblin around in that big ole house all alone... no Puff Puff?! No bro bro?! Jeez! That just makes me so sad.. Maybe the Unicorns should form a search party.. but knowing them, they'd probably just 'party!' Lol! I love and adore you too, dear Dragon Fire! Thank you, Juliet, for you kindhearted comments. It’s so nice that you have family from Boston. Years ago, when I was in Las Vegas for a business trip, everyone from the west coast wanted to hear me speak - not because I had anything important to say but rather to hear my Boston accent.. lol! Your visit is so appreciated. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan
