Premium Member Aftermath of rain

I called for rain
to heal the cracks of dryness in lips and soil.
To sprout the seeds I'd sown
in hope expectant in dry soil,
and with clouds looming gray in skies overhead.
But alas it came,
too early,
too late,
or never came at all.

For when it rains too little it withers,
rains too much it drowns.
When it makes callers wait
far too long on hold, it appalls.

For rain is a wild cantankerous beast,
with a mind of its own,
leaving callers lost, hurt,
frustrated and exasperated
in its aftermath.

Love : the divine design

Both were power, both stood divine
Gaze met and eyes danced in shine

Soul entwined as snake - side effect without wine
She was six and he was nine
Claimed each other - forever mine
The divine pair - beautiful God design

Their body - medium nothing more
Love - the essence their soul swore

Two halves of one, beyond compare
True love found but it's so rare

Even God suffered in love from their core
Their stories so beautiful to explore

Maa Parvati fell first, but Baba fell harder
She sacrificed everything - even the order of her father
He cried and destroyed everyone who was part of gather
Took her body in his arms as a feather

Krishna devoted to Radha - stood tall
Revati travelled time - answering love's call
Many sacrificed - love conquers all
Follow your heart - even if the world appalls

If you found true one - you're experiencing heaven
If you are with wrong one - getting experience of hell even in heaven

The word LOVE of four letters
Yet lays with huge responsibilities , sacrifices - you know better

Outrage

There’s no decorum or respect
Within the White House walls
And cameras let us witness
Some behavior that appalls.

Invite a foreign dignitary
Then berate, insult, accuse –
That’s the playbook for a bully
Desperate to be in the news.

Why would any other country,
After seeing that display,
Send a leader, knowing he or she’d
Be treated in that way?

Every day brings more examples
Of outrageousness and shock
Which, at one time, simply seemed like
Acts of bluster we would mock.

But the stakes have gotten higher
And if all the guardrails fail,
Someday writing such a poem just might
Have me end up in jail.

Premium Member Hate Must Be Stopped

It is irrelevant what you say or feel
The power to prohibit love is real
It’s irrefutable that prejudice lives
Human programing is what it is
Though irrational when reason gives
It’s logic promotional where difference is
Irrespectable the selfishness it creates
The prototype of unwarranted hate
Sometimes irresistible the ever present call
The progress of mans prolonged fall
The irritable habit that often appalls
The provision of law that confuse all
Irrespective of exclusive clause
The creation of habit and certain protocol
We give honor to Epimetheus’ after thought
Without Prometheus’ for thought
That irreplaceable are ideals that right
To protect the weak we all must unite
Irreversable this all to understand
Proclaim injustice in our lands
Irreplaceable our dedication to God
Projecting the light that shines abroad
Irrepressible the unseen laws
Progress to right the wrong without pause
Irrespectability must take leave
Providential powers must take lead
Irresponsibility must not deceive
Profess, protest, and provide prosperity

Premium Member And Along Came a Spider

A spider was climbing my walls,
The size of it truly appalls,
I’m certain it’s a lass,
With a kardashian a ss,
I couldn’t spy male spider balls!

I shouted for my hubby to come,
He gasped at that huge spiders bum,
But my old Henry hoover,
Just couldn’t remover her,
I’m screaming Help I want my mum!

My p ussy cat eyed up the spider,
She wanted this beastie insider her,
Huge spider is walking,
Cat’s expert at stalking,
She corners it by my step strider

As Tiddles is superb at pouncing,
That spider got a severe trouncing,
And now it is dead,
What more can be said,
The death of spider I’m announcing

For Julie thanks for the inspiration. bb xx

Premium Member Weird and Scary

Each October brings forth Halloween.
Kids love scary, weird props, unforeseen:
four-foot spider that crawls-
flying, mock bat appalls-
as does ground-breaker zombie on scene!

My Favorite Republican

When history someday recalls
Behavior that simply appalls
They just have to reach
Those we chose to impeach
To see some who defy protocols.

Yet the record of Senate near-brawls
Will have info that sometimes enthralls
Such as votes that got split
Like the one in which Mitt*
Proved a pol in his party had balls!

*Mitt Romney, the only Republican
who voted to remove Trump from office

Premium Member Fetch My Skimmer

Slugs and snails line the highway,
Munching, crunching, drinking fumes;
Early in the morning, late at day.

A tunnel of black ahead looms,
Feasting on diesel, ready to growl;
Into the maw a lucky one zooms.

Compacted inside the giant jowl,
Hooter poised, horsepower stalls;
Bodies meet with metallic howl.

“Fetch my skimmer, freedom calls,
Flying, leaping o’er all that appalls.”

Premium Member Confounds and Confuses Me

Why do people refuse
to be nice to each other
this is what confounds
and confuses me the most

especially in these times
of ever growing technology
social graces
have gone out the door

so much so that
people hardly chat anywhere
other than online

pleasant people are the anomaly
if you get to see people’s eyes at all
usually a vacant and blank stare
is what you see

Even people as they
approach their final curtains
don’t even seem to be conscious
of their greedy self-centered
inconsiderate and uncaring
selfish manners beyond excuse

do they really believe
it’s too late to change their ways
and gamble they won’t have to atone
some day soon
for their miserable attitudes

Apathy has become a trend
that appalls and behooves me

Under the Overpass

My morning walk is sandwiched
‘Tween the river and the road
And I’ve seen a homeless guy there
With a tent as his abode.

Several others sleep on benches
And one slumbers on the ground,
Yet since yesterday a couple
On a mattress can be found.

They were curled up under covers
With no pillows and no sheets
Underneath a concrete overpass
Connecting to the streets.

Though at night it must be private,
In the early morning sun
They were there on view for exercisers
Out to walk or run.

Most just gave a glance and passed them
But I couldn’t help but muse
How they wound up on that mattress,
Not a “bedroom” one would choose.

Life is sometimes cruel and heartless,
Filled with status that appalls
And I felt for that poor couple
Who, at least, deserved some walls.

Premium Member Get Out

You did something more than stupid
You did something more than vile

Don’t expect any sympathy in my eyes
No ‘well y’know’ smile?

From this point I don’t know you
From now onwards I can’t stand by your side

Years I’ve covered for you, lies I’ve swallowed like wine

But this.....this appalls and sickens me - your miles out of line!

You broke more than rules, you sank to the bottom this time

You stole something precious, you killed the perfect smile, you hurt someone beautiful, cast the shadows of fear in her eyes.

She was everything of an angel, kind hearted and so full of life.

Every ounce of the good in her contrasted with the bad behind your eyes.

You hurt what is beautiful......for no reason but selfish pride. You replaced beauty with fear, made her beg for your fists or herself to die.

You broke something beautiful

You made beautiful die

Premium Member Pretty Girls Enthrall

My eyes are experienced, they've seen it all
Most stuff's fantastic though some stuff appalls
Most pretty girls
Are like gorgeous pearls
In an ocean of seaweed, they stand out and enthrall

Growing

5/4/17

Objects sinking or floating
Whether dim or glowing

Grasses being cut or growing
Waters drying up or flowing

The air calm or a breeze showing
Lifeforms slowing then stopping or still going
And rowing

You're either out the loop or knowing
I'm serious not joking

Small or tall
None, half or all

Without any framing, or setup with walls
Going high speeds or at a crawl

Trying to diffuse the situation or about to brawl
It fascinates or appalls
No contact or some kind of a call
Continual progress or at a stall
*****Sapiens or Neanderthal
