“Welcome”
a robot effigy of painted aluminium
on its face a vestigial smile
chill, uncharismatic and instant,
voicing through it
like rasping metallic file,
a platinum echo, distant.
Its unmoving countenance
worn like a habit, a shiny mask, ill-fit
the smirk of a smile sewn on,
with crayon drawn on,
it did not move as if to prove
a robotic ability as ventriloquist.
I was transfixed
with words that keenly gnawed:
“You have been thawed.”
I looked around with icy perception,
with roving eye and no movement of limb,
where had I been?
As my body warmed and my limbs gained inflection,
so my mind was pierced with icicles of truth
of a previous existence and a distant youth.
It’s all coming back now,
it had worked somehow:
Cryogenics.
How self-worth waves count,
when the ray of love struck,
skimmed my anxious being,
that inner light rotated a plus,
focus on healing curative,
looking glass on past event,
morphing current field of view,
behind the outer world mask
silver, aluminium, gold metal,
counterpart to my renewal
Wishes
I made wishes: to
have
instant not light shaggy hair, to
have a
not able to
be eaten egg-shaped nut with
yellowish brown shell (no face) as a
head, to
have aluminium shins and
maybe
aluminium eyes.
Eden's fruit gleams red —
Knowledge wounds deeper and sharper than now
Silicon dreams wake
Gravity's whisper
Via a slew of logical falls
Into neural nets
Jobs' crystal garden
Where aluminium meets glass
Future blooms within
Digital serpents
Now weave through quantum orchards
Teaching metal minds
Machine-wisdom fruit
Ripens on carbon branches
Beyond human reach
Paradise regained?
Or wandering circuits that learn
To think like gods do?
there's something intrinsically poetic about lists…

There's supposed to be an out break of bluetounge in cows?
It started in Sandwich in Kent, reports allow! I heard if it

To coerce scare or just plain frighten.? Beause free livings

Flourides in the water, aluminium seeded in the sky.' oh my breath'

And there have always been dr's; to help us on our way.'

So whats new; should we say??
I wonder, wonder, wonder why,
There is aluminium in the sky,
And can anyone please to us explain,
Why there are chemicals in the rain?
Oh, blue, blue sky that used to be,
Before those grey lines bled,
Has evil now taken over the World,
Are all the good men dead?
My fragmented heart defied my mind's authority
A gloomy transformation carved from sorrow's blood
Dopamine disappears while endorphins are the minority
The down feeling crashes in like an uncontrolled flood
An unwelcomed intruder colonizing my obedient body
I routinely succumb to your callous commands
An old foe by the former name of melancholy
Like a sponge you absorb my joy unarmed
Your fourth unsolicited visit in fourteen years
The voice of my normality fades in your shadow
Familiar with your punishment I become immune to fears
The heat of your rule coerces my heart to feel mellow
I forbade hopelessness to assert its voice in my head
Through gruntled teeth I allow my pride to fall instead
Antidepressants forces a ceasefire in our internal war
Tranquility pushes you out through my heart's aluminium door
I embrace peace knowing It too visits but does not stay
For I know you will return again in a few years from this day
SHE WAKESUP RELENTLESSLY FIXING ALL THE MUDDLE
BEFORE LEAVING FOR THE DAY
THENLATER,WADDLING LIKE A TODDLER HER WAY BACK
TIRELESSLY FULFILLING ALL KEYED IN COMMANDS,
THE MESS WAITING IN THE SINK.
THE BABY UNKEPT.
BEFORE RETIRING TO HER COZY ZONE
AND WAKING UP AGAIN, AGAIN LIKE IN A TIME LOOP
EVENTUALLY MOULDING HERSELF INTO A ROBOTIC INSTRUMENT.
ROBOTS DONT FALL SICK OR NEED A BREAK,
THEY DONT HAVE MOODS OR EMOTIONS.
YES THEY CALL HER IRON LADY FOR A DEFINITE REASON.
HER VEINS ARE COPPER WIRES AND HER BLOOD IS MERCURY
HER SKIN IS ALUMINIUM AND HER EYEBALLS THAT DEFY SLUMBERNESS,
ARE OF PLATINUM, HER HEART OF GOLD AND ORGANS OF ZINC.
Breathing in the luminous vapor that tastes like vanilla
While looking at illuminating our neon skyline
Since the moon and stars are veiled with the aluminium ceilings
Pastel rain that tastes of iron drips down from the blank sky
Seeing people as mannequins with implanted violet eyes
The brand-new craze in this blind and crazy world I would guess
With those in dark alleys selling a pink drink called “Rose Stardust”
A substance to give someone a kick since football is banned
Wearing my blue satin jacket while walking from my doctor
Hearing preachers in white preaching about “Moonlit Visions”
Some visions, or gnosis they call it, of some strange outside world
I ignore them and continue with my neon lit day
Is this city of iron skyscrapers what we wanted
Is there a world of sunlight outside this neon light city
I have a little greenhouse
It sits wobbly on the hill
Constructed from a kitset
Requiring monumental skill
A 40 page instruction book
Said it was a simple task to do
But I was not convinced
That this was entirely true
A fragile aluminium frame
Held with 500 fiddly screws
Was a testing of my patience
To see how many I would lose
The polycarbonate sheets
Fragile and light as fine chiffon
Flew off in the slightest breeze
Before I could attach them on
'Two hours of construction'
Is all the time you need, they say
But let me tell you, that's a lie
Because it took three days
Then in the first nor'easter storm
It collapsed, negating all my labours
The walls were in the paddocks
And the door was at the neighbours
Now it's badly taped together
And held down with bungy cord
So far so good, fingers crossed
We get some vege as a reward!
Waiting for you
Is listening to the tap dripping
Into a sink full of cold dishwater
Waiting for you
Is watching a cockroach
Cautiously poking its feelers
Out from under the fridge
Waiting for you
Is feeling a cold pain in my fingers
And a hot pain in the small of my back
Waiting for you
Tastes like an aluminium spoon
And smells like a damp rotting floor mop
Waiting for you
Seems never to stop
Waiting for you
Is
Unpleasant.

Don’t bring me down
With all this shopping around
Piling things up high
Making others wait being a hoarder guy
So very smooth you are
With hand sanitizer by the box so far
Some may never need again to buy
Toilet paper stacked to the sky
So instead of many aluminium foil hats
They will be making paper trains and that
Perhaps the whole world could enter now
That wedding dress competition out of toilet paper to take a bow.

Never annoy
A woman
Who carries a pointy sword
made of copper or aluminium or zinc
and if it is encrusted with
rubies and emeralds, figure
she has some knowledge of it,
and will wield it gladly in your direction
and often
She who can assert herself with
her champion armour and her pointy
sword, probably has the best life already
If she wants to include you, she might
but until you are summoned, and with a smile,
run away lightly, in tip-toe fashion, for a woman
who carries a pointy sword will not hesitate to strike.
