Johari window;
no one can see through this pane,
where I make my decisions.
my thoughts ala carte,
and not all desirable,
sussed out in my universe;
perplexing to me.
sift through so many pages -
childhood habits and missteps.
when faith came my way,
how divine the candlelight,
the Spirit lighting my path.
electrifying,
sword of positivity
discerning my every word.
don’t always listen
to the reproof; button up.
shame’s not a place to live. look
up to God’s grace; bow
down in that out of sight place;
forward march into glory.
sometimes there are storms:
depression, obsessive fraughts.
I pray through it; God’s faithful.
lingering in brain,
too long, could drive me cuckoo;
get in, get out, get moving.
inner voice, I must control.

Jane, my former fellow-worker friend, who lives in Carmel-By-The-Sea, and had been visited by many of us from work.
Gleaning Clint as a third invitee at His Hog's Breath Cafe/Tavern, thanks to Jane<--impetus of my 114 miles (228 miles in total, down/up) drive from my San Francisco home, with the added feature, aside from Clint, is California's central coastline drive ... ala incredible folks.
It's been some time since the store episode/trapped-i/epic-sword, in-back at home recovering.
My phone rang during days that it did, of horrid prices and matching service, hmm--half a second or half a century.
Anyhow, tis Jane calling for a special invite to The Grand as her creative date/Clint cancelled last minute as he found her to be his perfect catch at 21 ... to a catch 22, so the lamb pulled out of the bag and clawed me.

A stray lock of hair
in the corner right there
In the parlor, a faint whiff of perfume
The couch messy and wrinkled
piano’s ivories uncovered and tinkled
I know what you’re thinking, dear
but please don’t assume
For these are just clues, all part of a poem

Spies Flawed Sight in Tammuz,
Yiddens’ Tragic Hearing in Av,
Shemiras Einayim, impropriety removes,

Arrogant Spirit, Ala denial of Truth,
Greedy Neshama follow ingratitude does!

Better to grope! … say, “I don’t know!”,

Closing my outer eyes is how,

Sea surreal in darkest nets
Nocturnal-ness in jaws and tentacled breasts
still the thrill, breathless at my thoughts
the sea - a catch
The sea a catch, oh my stars
that settle like flickering candles
on tremulous waves
The sway, the dance, oh
the romance of candlelight
aboard the deck of dopamine
I resist the thought
that I’m in-between
cruise ala royal dreams
The drift of ebb and flow
I fly so slow, slipping
undertow, envisioning
serpents and maids
I’m made for the sea
See my tales splash
flibberty-thrashing
about in a net
netting the seashell gold
of surf and turf
sweet sands that tug
my eyes and heart
I blink
back tears
When will we see each other
‘gain, this match
of tenderness and angst
Let the torrents roar
Let the sides capsize
Let me touch your silkiness
your depths
your traps
of playfulness. The reader
must think me silly
as I surrender to the crests
and climb aboard
to see the sea
and sky collide
I’m given over
and under
in thunderous claps
to sated and salted
direct attack
of anything that might arrest
my joy
my exploration
my destination
my ploy
to dream without danger…

I was a randy Romeo
I was not looking for Juliet
To sow my royal oats
When I met her accidentally in Lud
I was young and vibrant looking for fun
Doing what boys my age were doing
Mimicking borrowed accent and character
Out of James Hadley Chase novels.
I asked her out at the first instant and
she agreed to date me.
I felt she was so naive like any easy
picking, so I thought such innocence
Meeting Francis Moses, my pseudo
name for cover and get away
Prince charming having ala carte and
all in one swoop.
I thought I will eat my cake and wipe
my lips clean with a smirk on my face
and stroll away.
But i was wrong I didn't bargain in falling
in love with her.
Cupid's arrow got the bulls eye of my
heart and I fell head over heels in love
for the first time.
I fell for my victim out on a prank.

Grammar fools
My ignorance just makes me stronger
But when I try to write, it makes me wronger
I decry anyone who knows more than me
I call them names without an apostrophe
Because I’m so clever, don’t need to learn
Then I look at my account, how much did my book earn?
Still, I call you a Nazi for pulling me up
Knowing my stupidity is an over-flowing cup
So don’t dare to challenge my writing art
Because I think fried food is ala carte.
Now all you grammar pointers, who
Promote genocide, don’t question me
Because you’ll hurt my pride.

On the way home
With my kids in tow
To the all night
Supermarket we'd go
For a late night treat
that we bought each week
Our favorite pie ala mode
As an introvert
I'm not given to
talking to those I don't know
Except sometimes I
Just can't resist when the spirit bids
me so
As I stood in line
behind these three
little Asian guys ahead
Who were buying
round angle food cakes and
And cigarettes unfiltered instead
Before I could zip up
My pie hole
As the register started to sing
I asked what have you
guys got planned tonight
Gonna go home and blow smoke rings

Do Not Fall Down
Falling down, simply terrific
for the young!
For the elderly, no, as our springs have
indeed, been totally, sprung.
I took a big spill on Halloween,
And now I am known as the Poetess
ala Wheelchair Queen?
Feel like I finished a boxing round with
Mike Tyson.
Me, a pummeled, poetic. baby byson!

Dreaming she is a ballet star,
Practicing delicate, ballet moves
before huge mirros and with ballet barre.
There's something wistful in her smile.
She knows not, these memories will
last more than a little while and take her far.
She will be unable to post a picture
with most poems.
Knowing her poetic words mean far more
than a picture can ever hold.
An art gallery? No, she will never be.
An artist with words only, she hopes to be.
To paint both stars and mysterious sea.
No shortcuts to true poetry for her.
Her words only hers, woven beauty,
Of her history and finely.finest words.
A long way to go, to be the poet of her
dreams.
No sell outs, no teams, just wants her
poetry ala delicious, like fresh whipped
cream!

Even water though
pure
still needs filtering
as there are still much
things that went mixing up
with it
if sadness is a product
of this beautiful nature
goods could been faked
oh! love is not a sin
if it is pursued
as a right nose
nor what a
story is framed somewhere
that life is only ala yellow
a caress of a tooth
as if it is a fuss?
or an over taken slumber?
that ours should be
a mow?.
