Grammar Fools

Grammar fools

My ignorance just makes me stronger
But when I try to write, it makes me wronger
I decry anyone who knows more than me
I call them names without an apostrophe
Because I’m so clever, don’t need to learn
Then I look at my account, how much did my book earn?
Still, I call you a Nazi for pulling me up
Knowing my stupidity is an over-flowing cup
So don’t dare to challenge my writing art
Because I think fried food is ala carte.
Now all you grammar pointers, who
Promote genocide, don’t question me
Because you’ll hurt my pride.

Grammar is not easy when one is trying to write a poem or maybe just trying to write in general. There is a grammar checker on this site which can help. You can use it or not and it won't call you names, and you can call it names all you want. I enjoyed reading your work. Sara

Thank you Sara. I wrote this because grammar is part of the writing craft and to get upset when someone points out an error and call them a grammar Nazi, to me is mental. Just learn grammar. I make, and have made mistakes, please point them out and I'll edit more efficiently. Grammar exemplifies the fear of learning that thrives in society. Their problem not mine. Thanks Dave

I love the energy and message of this. This made me smile and I certainly relate. I hate grammar Nazis.

I am grammar Nazi, though I have never executed a Jew or practised ethnic cleansing. I don't proudly wear a swastika and I am not racist. I think people who want to write but don't want to learn, show their utter ignorance by calling people a grammar Nazi. Perhaps people who don't use grammar effectively need to study. Let's not associate a petty subject with a hateful, sadistic, mass murdering ideology, what do you think? Dave
