The Weight Of The Winter Snow

Long before my petals and my roots rot
I find myself sinking in the soil with the memories I forgot
The cold snow towers above me leaving me buried and alone
This place I await frozen is my temporary home
May someone find me one day and bring me new life
But for now I wither away and out of everyone's sight
The world does not know I even exist beyond a warm spring day
After all is said and done I crumble to nothing and fade away

Leo

Glorious cats of the Sun
They strive to be number one
They live for recognition
To be the best by definition

The most generous of them all
No favor is too big or small
They’re loyal to their tribe
Their love’s hard to describe

They love their mane
They can’t be tamed
Big hearts of gold
They’re regal and bold

Even in the night
They’re in the spotlight
Flattery makes these kitties purr
They love compliments for sure

One thing that you can’t ignore
Is when you hear these lions roar
They’ll charm you like never before
They’ll have you melting on the floor

These felines already won
After all is said and done
These are the cats of the sun
They’re most loved by everyone

Premium Member The Viking Song

Vikings in their sailing ships.
The ocean is their home.
Another of their ”buisiness” trips.
To new lands they will roam.
Hoist the sails, pull the oars.
Hone the axe and knife.
Brand new places to explore.
They love the viking life.

And it’s hey! Ho! Away they go!
	O’er the horizon and gone.
The tide will ebb, the tide will flow.
	Still, they sail on...

Vikings on their vessels true
Under cloudless skies.
The lookout cries, “Land in view!”
Sleepy sailors rise.
Beach the boat, jump ashore.
The village, yonder, waits.
Then say a thankful prayer to Thor.
The viking life is great!

And it’s hey! Ho! Away they go!
	O’er the horizon and gone.
The tide will ebb, the tide will flow.
	Still, they sail on...

But it is not all games and fun.
The captain can be a jerk.
But after all is said and done
They still love their work!

And it’s hey! Ho! Away they go!
	O’er the horizon and gone.
The tide will ebb, the tide will flow.
	Still, they sail on...

Rainbow

After All Is Said And Done, I'm a Rainbow;
A Persistent Rainbow That Is Visible In All Lighting Conditions;
Unique In Both Body & Soul From Everyone Else;
I Have a Soul Made Of Gold & a Soul Made Of Rainbow.

I've Always Felt Like An Alien With No Identity;
No Desire For Glory, & Only Wisdom Gained Through Suffering.

When I Think Back On Those Memories;
I Feel As Though My Emotions Have Been Repeatedly Used As Props In a Cruel & Twisted Game;
Almost Driving Me To The Brink Of Insanity.

I Feel As If There Is No Point In Love Anymore;
Because I Am Being Pursued By Myself;
&
Am Alone In a Dark & Lonely Hallway.

I Must Continue To Act As Though My Life Is Anything But Gray.

Premium Member Tell Them You Love Them

The number of times I think of you each day
Is immeasurable, my sweet sweet love
It's like trying to count the stars in the sky
Just know this my love, you are the reason I exist
Why I wake each morn with gladness in my heart
Joy in my soul, I have a serenity I've never before experienced
Words don't do justice for this feeling of love
This feeling of utter passion that's invaded my heart and soul
Oh joy, oh joy, what greater thrill
If I was to meet my maker tomorrow
I can honestly say, I have loved and been loved
After all is said and done, what greater thrill in life is there
Everything else is superficial
Because what I'll remember when my number is up
Are those dear souls who enriched my life
Who gave me a feeling of belonging
Who gave me a reason for it all
There may be many but those with the greatest impact are few
And you'll be remembered until my dying day
 So while you're still here...
TELL THEM YOU LOVE THEM!!!

Premium Member Time for another silly rhyme

Aged chains are hampering me.
They get heavier constantly.

Age changes everything,
Voices crackle, making it hard to sing.

Walking and talking become a chore,
The conversation is a bore.

When the subjects get too deep
Old-aged folk tend to fall asleep.

Mumbling softly under their breath
They often gasp, scaring guests to death.

When they lay with open mouth
They do not realise their teeth went south.

This state of affairs could cause them to dribble,
It may embarrass some, but to old folk, this is trivial.

Getting old may make one sad,
But after all is said and done, it's not all bad.

How lucky old folk are to be still alive,
To have lived a long life and survived.

Father Time has passed us by
We aged folk should not moan or cry.

We should be gracious and thankful, too,
And hope that life will be kind to you.

Trusting future generations will be healthy and strong,
And be gifted with a life that's happy and long.

Go Hang

I don't give a Damn
Religion can go Hang
Confusion is all that I See.
All I Understand
Is I'm just a Man
And that hate is my Enemy.

I believe in Love
And our lord Above
My conscience in my Guide.
I'm just a man who Cares
I'll always do my Share
And not just go along for the Ride.

I don't try to Impress
I just do my Best
Regardless of my faults and Flaws.
I'm loyal and True
I'll always be there for You
Making you happy is my Reward.

After all is said and Done
I will not up and Run
I'm not just there for the Ride.
Others may Leave
In your time of Need
I'll always stand by your Side.

On the Job

On The Job

In the misty morning light
A parade of characters strolls on site.

I sit there at my portal gate
I check who is sick and those just late

I see burly men, some strapping teens,
lean muscled men in their tight blue jeans

They get right to work with no messing around
digging and plodding across the cold hard ground

As midday rolls on, they are surprising to me
how much work and commitment I see

Do they work for simple praise of job, well done?
 Maybe sometimes, there is none

They work hard for families, bills, and cars
some even work for a few beers at the bars

When all their labor is finally through
that tall condo grew and grew

Their sweat and grit have made it shine
with owner's proud to say, it's mine!

After all, is said and done
We have to thank these guys a ton

I tip my cap and say a fond adieu
to this sweaty, dirty working crew

as they pass my gate in the setting sun
and all their toil and labor is done.

Supporting Actor

I'm always the supporting actor
I've never been the star.
It seems I'm always the chauffeur
driving someone else's car.

I've always been a loyal player
never the captain of the team.
It feels as if I'm playing a part
fulfilling someone else's dream.

I've always been a Joker
I'm feel happy playing the clown.
I find a sense of humour
helps make this world go around.

I'm honest and I'm loyal
although it doesn't always pay.
Some see it as a sign of weakness
where they can have their Way.

I do things without question
never asking what its for.
I let others share the plaudits
knowing I've helped is my reward.

After all is said and Done
we should be happy as we are.
For if God made us in his own image
then everyone's a superstar.

Premium Member Accept Me As I Am

I'm just like you, I really am,
I'm really not so odd.
I have my ways, I guess that's true,
And for that I thank my God;

For we all have certain attributes,
That differ from the rest;
Ways and habits we have formed,
That oft times aren't the best;

But that's what makes us who we are,
And sets us each apart,
As separate individuals,
But still with soul and heart.

I may not think or talk like you,
Opinions often differ,
But after all is said and done,
I am still your sister.

Accept me just the way I am,
As God meant me to be,
As I accept the way you are,
For God loves you and me.

2020 Memorandum

After all is said and done
What do we leave our children
A foundation of a proper life
And a soul that understands
That all people are different
And all have a right to live in peace

What stories do we leave the world
Of peace and happiness for all
Where the facts are listened to
And people will have
All they need to live properly
In stories will be told around their fires

Who are the people who deserve to be remembered
Not the villains the thieves the assailants the murderers
But the ones who work and live clean together
They should be the T shirt faces
And the ones who are on the murals
Looking back at all of us

So what about 2020 the virus and the riots
I will remember those who stood up and were counted when needed.

Premium Member Hearts Who Love

I feel so close to him,
Like nothing on earth could compare…
To the joy, hope, faith and peace I’ve found with him,
Always sharing and believing and dreaming,
So alive and fulfilled and with no need for anything…
Only the love that we have found within our hearts,
So alive and warm and welcoming, filled with hope.

I feel so close to him,
In so many ways I’ve never dreamed…
Feelings keep me yearning for a second chance,
Another moment to spend just seeking solace…
Fulfillment with the one that holds the key to my heart,
The one who makes me laugh and fills my thoughts…
With a sense of purpose and renewal and inspiration.

I feel so close to him,
Love that feels this real is alive within…
A miracle from heaven that God sends to us all,
Like a light of joy that abides with our shared thoughts,
Mysteries from the heart that remind us why we’re here,
To give and to love with all that we have within…
Loving is the only thing that makes life worthwhile.

Loving, after all is said and done, is the only part of life…
That assures the heart we’ve become the ones…
God sent us here to become,
Hearts who love!

Pride

They've been together for a year
And they had the kind of love that would bring u to tears
I mean.....
They would never part without saying I Love U
Or without kissing each other
Texting each other through out the day
Talking about how much they miss being together in every way

So one day
The man and his wife had a disagreement
And after all is said and done
They allowed their pride, and tension to grow so thick
They went to bed upset
With their backs turned away each other
Trying so hard not to utter a word or touch one another

Hoping that things would be ok in the morning
Saying to himself

That's alright she knows that I love her
 I'll apologize tomorrow
But instead she wakes up to a morning of sorrow

Because in his sleep he died
Now ask yourself is that worth hiding behind your pride

Ivan Milat Is Dead

Ivan Milat is dead
There is nothing to be sad about or to dread
He killed seven backpackers in the Belanglo State Forest
Finally dying from the cancer that gave him no rest

A serial killer who showed no mercy
Leaving families grieving for lives lost you see
Probably he has the title of Australia’s worst
As when he died there is such joy - to him the cursed

Do you wonder if there is judgement waiting
In his final days thinking and anticipating
And after all is said and done
We are rid of a demon undone.

Adrenaline Junky

It's time to get on
So the plane can start flying
Strap the pack on
Today we are sky diving

It is ok to be afraid
If it's your first time jumping
Me I live for this
I am an adrenaline junky

Don't you dare worry
I will be right there
Every one gets a bit nervous
It's ok to be scared

Take a big deep breathe
Clear your mind for the fun
I promise you will see
No need for fear when done

The time has come to jump
It's ok you can trust me
I live for the thrill
I am an adrenaline junky

I'll be there to help though
Excitement I think will rule
As you soar through the air
You will think that this is cool!

After all is said and done
You will feel so lucky
I turned you into a monster
A real adrenaline junky
