Life's Joy and Pain

In Life that runs
has Lamp that burns
its light not seen
its heat felt keen

a heat when warm
makes Life a charm
a feel so sweet
mind loves to meet

I seek this more
my sprits go soar
joy soon to end
out goes warm friend

a knot of pain
takes root to strain
I hate this state
I call this fate

Lamp is in flame
I pass the blame
why me to task
why me I ask

for long this was
for now it is
Time heals my pain
my mind turn sane

Joy and pain twin
teach how to win
they don’t come free
makes Life its fee

both come and sit
means Lamp is lit
Twin leaves its clout
when Lamp burns out.

Premium Member When Souls Spark True Love

She loves you more
I see it soar.
You might be friends
there is no ends
when it comes to
two souls spark true.

When the warm sun
ebbs, the night won;
stars in full bloom
dressed the dark groom.

The world could give
some time to live.

Her soft eyes rise
to see the skies
light up while you
drew her close to
waltz the last dance.

A thought, a glance
flames of true love.

You gave a shove
and kissed her hard
a heart of guard
a taste of sweet
fruit as lips meet.

Wisp sounds and lights
through days and nights
caught up in dreams
my own soft streams
as you lie by
my side and tie
our breath as one.
The sky we won.

Waiting For The Prize

First month this year
   passed by with cheer;
      each day that's done
leads to the one

We all wait for
   that gives us more
      warm days with sun
and time for fun.

More months to go
   with cold and snow;
      wool scarfs and boots
warm coats top suits.

As March comes 'round,
   though bare the ground
      spring buds can grow;
pop through the snow.

With March we'll spend
   mixed days that send
      warm air, cold breeze;
our new spring tease.

Month four brings rain
   to wash the stain
      of past days' mud;
sprout leaf and bud.

Next month brings May!
   We're on our way.
      Sun's warm and bright;
new blooms in sight.

Then June is here!
   We smile and cheer,
      and claim our prize!
Fun days, blue skies!

Our Long Lost Love

Out of the blue
I think of you
Who is to blame?
For loss of flame

Our love has gone
To a dark dawn
I feel the pain
Tears down the drain

For in the past
Our love was vast
Now death is near
Stop sign to fear

I see my gloom
I feel the doom
We shut the door
Live in the core

Love is now hard
We build the barred
The sad is deep
For now, we weep

We take the pills
To stop the ills
No love for hire
No more the fire

Blind eyes that speak
Mad mind so bleak
Take back the strain
Ease off the brain

Come back to me
That I may plea
Your love be mine
To this, we dine.

N-4-Words

Written by: D. Collins 11/15/17

Four words can express how a man feels.
And, let his woman know what sealed the deal.
It maybe something your woman seldom heard.
The strength of your love spoken in four words.

These four words say you made the right choice.
Regardless of the static you hear from your boys.
You know this because you’re on the inside.
Up close and personal through the whole ride.

Nobody could know how sweet it is.
Unless they know how I have lived.
I give props that should be heard.
Give my woman a lot in four words.

There’s nothing wrong with having serial love.
Knowing God sent you something from above.
Working things out is what couples should do.
And, what they should say is “I Really Love You.”

4 Words

Live hard,
 —write easy

(Villanova Pennsylvania: October, 2017)

Why Cnt You Say Ur Proud of Me

i give up on trying to please you
i do whatevr you tell me to do
all i want is for you to say is 4 words
ill never be good enuff 2 you
i try my hardest to please you and all i want is you to tell me 4 words
i guess im not good enuff for you
dad all i want is for you to say your proud of me is that to much to ask
you tell your girlfriends daughter that your roud of her for her girl scouts
but my whole 17 years of liveing you have never told me your proud of me
i do all i can to please you i try to be the best daughter i can be but i guess ill never be good enuff for you
ALL I WANT IS FOR YOU TO SAY YOUR PROUD OF ME!!!

Forever Yours

Ill Be Here For You Now And Forever.
I Hope That For Always We Will Be Together.
I Cant Imagine A Day Without You By My Side,
To Hold Me And Help Me And To Be My Guide.

Eyes Like The Ocean, Lips Like Morphine,
Never Leave Me And Ill Be Your Queen.
Through Times Of Good And Times Of Bad,
You Can Make Me Smile Whenever Im Sad.

A Kiss From You Sets My Heart On Overdrive.
Your Passion And Love Are What Keep Me Alive.
I Fall Asleep Each Night With Your Face In My Head,
And Wake Up Each Day To The Thought Of The Words That
You Said.

"i Love You Baby", Those 4 Words You Wispered,
"i Love You Too", I Cried In Return.
"ill Never Leave You As Long As Im Breathing"
"good Baby Boy Cause Im Also Never Leaving"
