Contest Description

What to Submit?

Poetry form to use: English Quintain..Look it up if you do not know what it is..

Write about an activity as if you are doing it at the moment you are writing..

Exceptions: Keep it within the guidelines of poetry soup rules..Please family friendly..It can be about any topic as lying on the beach, vacuuming, cooking,

cutting grass, repairing a car, driving down the expressway, etc..

Example from Billy Collins' poem :

"Reading Myself To Sleep"

"and the only movement in the night is the slight

swirl of curtains, the easy lift and fall of my breathing,

and the flap of pages as they turn in the wind of my hand."

See it sounds as if the person is reading at the moment not writing a poem..SK

I will try to write a poem about something and in an  English Quintain form..

Wishing you fun writing ...

Sara
