Drinking To Forget Sorrow
To wipe away my sorrow I must drink,
Bury myself in this liquor tonight,
As this flows through my bloodstream makes me think,
Heart vibrates to make me forget my plight,
My soul consoled making my eyes shine bright.
Disappointment of today makes me cry,
Solace is found in this cup without blame,
I will dance to this rhythm to fly high,
I will drink;her strength can't be put to shame,
This romance between us remains the same.
