I am Robert James Liguori. I have authored several technical books including The Java Pocket Guide. I have spent twenty years in the aviation community doing software development and testing. Currently, I'm spending my time writing poetry trying to make a small, yet positive difference in this world... one word at a time.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the one and only Glenn Hughes. His songs have been the inspiration to nine poetrysoup contests. These contests have produced some of the best poems seen to date on soup. What makes the Voice of Rock so great? Well he has over fifty years of music from cover songs to solo albums to bands he's been in. You can't help but thank this man for his commitment to the art. Would anyone else like to join me in expressing gratitude to Glenn? If so, speak up now or forever hold your peace.

Thanks. I was just listening to him now, ‘Mistreated’. His deep purple days were epic. He’s been touring for 17 months from the Burn album. A record everyone should have. Thank you for loving Glenn with me. He’s so super!!!

Robert, I’m beginning to think you are Glenn Hughes :) Joking aside he’s a great musician and he’s just completed a very successful world tour I believe. I’m still unclear as to why he left Black Sabbath though. Cheers - Gary

Dear Robert, youv yes thanked him alot but never enough right? I like his songs “steady” and “ get down make love” :so thankful for those songs hah And for your contests. Thank you for all that you do to inspire us all, its easy to write for your Glenn Hughes songs because i can just be myself, im grateful for your support too for me and many. Yes. There are so many songs. I love his Roxanne cover and his song Jolayne. He sings about women a lot. You gotta love women! They often make for the perfect muse for him. Oh sweet romance.
