I am Robert James Liguori.  I have authored several technical books including The Java Pocket Guide.  I have spent twenty years in the aviation community doing software development and testing.  Currently, I'm spending my time writing poetry trying to make a small, yet positive difference in this world... one word at a time.

Are you ready to get blown away... then go ahead and listen to the A Matter of Life and Death album by Iron Maiden!  It has heavy war and religion undertones and is really a great source to be inspired to write some awesome poetry. Also, it's good to know that I'm currently sponsoring an Iron Maiden poetry contest... so go ahead and listen and write.  As many know, I've been afflicted with the inability to sleep so I listen to Iron Maiden now day and night. It used to be Glenn Hughes I was obsessed with but now I find Iron Maiden my home... and they can be your home too!   So whether it's watching on YouTube or by buying their A Matter of Life and Death vinyl album or CD... listening is a sure way to soothe your soul.  I look forward to reading and judging your poetry inspired by Iron Maiden... and remember, we all love Bruce Dickinson and Iron Maiden!!!

just wondering if you can enter more than 1 poem to your contest? I`m so passionate about this band that I think I might have more then 1 poem about IM in me P.S. A Matter of Life and Death is such an under-appreciated album I. view it as an anti-war album and view Brighter Then a 1000 Suns as a type of protest song Bruce`s and Steve`s lyrics are poetry
