This was truly one of the most difficult contests I've ever judged! I had some wonderful entries, though some had to be discarded because they weren't haiku to my mind, but very short free verse. I eventually arrived at fourteen winners, but choosing the exact order of placements was problematic, because I liked many of them equally; hence there are a lot of joint 4th place poems! I genuinely could not choose between them as I liked them all equally for different reasons, so in the end I decided to give them all 4th place! Really, the numbers beside the poems need to be disregarded, and the fourteen winning poems should just be viewed as fourteen beautiful snapshots, which is exactly what they are. Congrats to my fourteen winners and thanks to everybody who participated!
