Seasonal Acrostics Contest Judged

I received some wonderful entries for this contest, and an unprecedented twenty seven poems went through to the second round! From there I whittled them down to sixteen winners. For some reason I found judging acrostics to be an entirely different judging experience. Overall in the contest, winter was the most popular season, followed closely by autumn, and spring was the least popular - what a wintry lot you are! I'm a real spring and summer person myself! All the seasons produced some really lovely poems, though. Congratulations to my sixteen winners and thanks to everybody who participated.

Thanks so much Charlotte ! I think I must have had a hard time letting summer slip me by, that I had to revive it for your contest! Congratulations to all the seasoned poets who did such a wonderful job!!

oh wow, I just saw your list and I made it by a hair!!! I really loved your idea of four seasonal options. I saw one poet was so inspired, she did all four seasons in different posts. CAn't remember who it was now, but she did a fine job. Funny how winter was so popular. I noticed that too and thought I was pretty safe with autumn, and then after I wrote mine, I began to see lots of poems for the fall~~~ Congrats to all. I will go see this winners' list for sure.
