In light of the controversy surrounding multiple contest placements, I find it really ironic that this is the first contest where I have been able to award all single placements! It has been a very interesting contest, and has gone a long way to reassuring me that judges are, on the whole, thoroughly evaluating pieces and making some sound decisions. Out of thirty five poems I was only able to put twelve through to the second round, and from there only seven made it onto the winners' list. They are the gems that slipped through the net the first time around. Many thanks to all who participated, and congratulations to my seven winners!
