Open Poetry Contest Judged

Wow, this contest filled up super fast! Something really odd happened during the judging process: after the contest had filled and vanished from the contest page, and I had locked it, entries continued to come in somehow! I have no idea how that happened, it's weird (but then, I'm well acquainted with weird lol). Anyway, the fourteen poems I eventually chose for my winners are the cream of the entries I received. I would be happy to read any of them in an anthology. A big thank you to all who entered, including the 'extras', and congratulations to my fourteen winners!

I am not surprised how quickly your contest filled up Charlotte! Most of us know that you take poetry to heart, and give great thought to judging. So I am grateful to place well...thanks so much and big kudos to all who are on your list! Congratulations everyone!

charlotte, I am honored to be among your winners. You are a writer I look up to because your free verse is quality poetry for SURE! About those extra entries you got, this has happened to me a few times when I failed to LOCK my contest when it reached 35 in number. Did you lock it fast? Usually the most I get is two or three and it rarely happens! Congrats to all your fine winners.
