Whenever I throw a contest wide open like this it always produces a really interesting, eclectic mix of poems. I received some wonderful entries, and it was very difficult to judge them because they were all so diverse, but I finally managed to whittle them down to sixteen winners. I'm not singling anyone out for favouritism, but on the list there is a poem called 'My Poetry Friends' and I think it is the perfect note on which to end my contests, and if you read it you'll see why. I know that there is an air of sadness around today with the news of Freddie's passing, and I think this particular poem is also very fitting as we remember him.
